Gene Hensley is a great company! My dad used them to install the first central heat and air unit in his home 34 years ago. I used them to install the first central heat and air unit in my own house. Never any problem with service calls or anything. I'll keep using them for as long as they are in business.
Fabulous contracting experience! John came into my vintage home to give me an estimate and spent the time to clearly outline what needed to be done. I felt confident that we were on the same page. David, Don and John delivered! The communication was great. Trustworthy, punctual, friendly, neat; I can’t say enough good things about my experience with this great company.
After waiting 5 hours on a different company to show up I called back and my furnace was working perfectly in less than an hour

Great company, they are one of the few that understand radiant heat systems or steam heating systems. Craig is very knowledgeable and take the time to explain what the problem was and make sure you understand all the possible choices available to solve the problem. I will use them for the foreseeable future.

The day our air conditioner went out we called Gene Hensley. The repair man came out that morning. Our conditioner was 16 1/2 yrs old. He explained all of our options. We decided we would be better off replacing it. John came out that afternoon and we decided which one we wanted to buy. It was very hot at that time. The next day two men from Gene Hensley came out to install a new air conditioner and we had decided to replace the furnace too. These two men were very knowledgeable and did a very good job. We were very pleased with them. We have been very pleased with our cool house. The conditioner is very quiet and cools the house very well. I would recommend Gene Hensley to anyone who needs good service.
We just had a new furnace installed in our home & we are extremely happy with the service we received. John was great, he gave us a few options of what would work for our home & budget. The service technician was very professional & took great care in keeping our home clean. Everyone we talked to at the company was very nice & took the time to answer all our questions. I would definitely recommend them!! Great job guys!!!!!
Craig from Gene Hensley was recommended from another reputable HVAC company that did not work on boilers. We moved last year into a home with two large boilers and steam radiators. Craig took almost three hours to clean burners, pilots and all, even the room's floor around the two boilers. He also tested the water cut offs, automatic fill controls, relief valves, and more. Including recommending in the future possible pipe insulation and dampers to bring in clean new air. Never, hard selling at all, in fact he gave us a recommendation for another company to do the insulation around the boiler pipes. BUT most importantly Craig educated us on how to drain and maintain these intimidating commercial-like boilers. He has so much patience and took his time to even figure out which thermostat (out of 7 in our large home) actually ran the heating for the home. We assumed many ran the radiators. Last year was a nightmare using the system for the first time. It had an odor the whole winter, we didn't know we had to drain it frequently and we couldn't figure out which thermostat really ran it so we would always just keep playing with them, running around the house, assuming all the switches were in the correct positions in the basement. After almost 3 hours he spent with us, he handed us a very reasonable invoice. $255! Mind you we live in a very grandiose looking home in College Hill. And always have issues with price gouging. Companies assume we are very wealthy. (we got a good price on a fixer upper) He did well and beyond what we expected and then charged us a fair price. We now have a new HVAC company! Thanks Craig.
Dissatisfied with service and have since terminated!
Used this company for 5 years on my business and home and also my family used them and all was pretty good! Recently we had them out for our annual service which I witnessed the service man remove the metal off of the outside unit and then a few weeks later it was spitting sparks and making lots of noise! So I called Gene Hensley and was expecting this to be covered as they have been the only one's near the unit for the last several years! In business if we make an error we stand by it BUT NOT Gene Hensley company! They billed me for their error and mistake and then asked me what they could have done and wanted to keep my business! No longer, I will find someone that will stand behind the work, even if its just a service! FIRED THEM! They just lost 5 accounts over their error! So long!
