Our AC unit was leaking water and my husband called Edwards to come look at it, since they were the ones who installed in. The gentleman told my husband he would be out later that evening but he never showed or called. We called another company and they came out same day and found that when Edwards installed the unit they took a short cut on the drainage pipe... I would not recommend Edwards to anyone..
Called to ask about some electrical work. A woman took my information and said I would get a call back to set up an appointment. I never got a call back or heard from anyone again.
Heat quit working last Saturday. Called Edwards and they said they would send someone out Sunday to check it out. Never showed up or even called. To make a long story short, called Peterman Brothers Sunday. They sent 2 men out Monday morning. Sorry to say, we had to have a complete new heat pump and air conditioning system. They sent a man out Monday afternoon. It was completely installed and working well by 2:30 pm Tuesday. I am beyond disappointed in Edward's heating and cooling. There work ethic cost them DEARLY!!! The most incompetent, unprofessional people I've ever done business with, from the woman who answers the phone to the person who calls himself the manager. I was without heating and air conditioning for over a month due to their incompetence. I finally called a reputable HVAC company and they found that EDWARD'S had improperly wired the new heat pump too my existing furnace causing damage too several components in my furnace and shorted out my existing thermostat and also the replacement thermostat they had installed. I will definitely not be doing business with them again. There is no doubt in my mind these people would leave you in the cold and not bat an eye, they could care less as long as they get your money.
The driver of an F150 here in Bloomington with this company logo was blocking the left lane of major highway 46. The driver was going 15 under the speed limit for over 8 miles while traffic backed up behind the driver. The driver made no attempt to ease traffic flow by moving into the slow lane regardless of multiple people cutting him off etcetera. Additionally the driver was seen giving rude gestures to passing vehicles. I do not recommend this company on that basis alone.

They could not get my address correct they told me to call another ac company to see if that company could help me and they never did show up when they told me they would be there when they did call the first question they asked was did you get another ac company to come look at your ac I cant figure out how to respond to your comment. I understand you are short handed ( a lot of people are right now) but I should have been told that information. it would have been better if I would have ben told, ( sir right now we are very short handed it will be about a week until we can get to you, if you are willing to wait on us we would love to have your business.) but that conversation never happened. I did not know you where short handed until you just told me. also I guess it was you that I spoke with and as far as I knew you where going to be coming out that next Monday, and have not seen you or heard for you since. no need to come out now I think my issue was the electrical and I got that fixed now.
We had a guy come out on Friday June 3 to check our AC. He charged the unit, and said we had a bad compressor. I asked him if they could call me with a quote to replace it. He said yeah. He was then breaking down the receipt, and going over how I could pay with my card. The woman in his truck (pretty sure not an employee) then honked the horn at him, while he was still talking to me. I call the office maybe 10 minutes later, paid my $300+ bill and remind the woman on the phone, to have them call me with the quote for a compressor. A week goes by, no call. My husband called on Monday June 13, no answer. I call later on Monday, and the guy on the phone says, “Oh yeah that sounds like our manager was there. I am not sure why he hasn’t got you that quote yet. I will have him give you a call when he gets in.” It is now Thursday, June 16, still no quote. Ended up calling another business due to Edward’s being unprofessional and can’t get back to me within a timely manner. I understand that they are probably busy this time of year, but almost 2 weeks for a quote is ridiculous.
I appreciate their excellent work and their great attitude! I always call them first for all my beating and cooling needs.
I have used this company for years. They stand behind their work. They are prompt, courteous, professional, reasonable and knowledgeable.
In short, terrible communication, poor professionalism, poor explanation of the problem, poor follow-through, difficult to get ahold of, and overall a very poor experience. Details; will try to summarize due to Google's character limit: We were assigned this company for a home warranty claim for our LP furnace. We have a hybrid heating system (heat pump primary, LP furnace secondary). We noticed issues with the furnace around Thanksgiving (11/22). We called the home warranty company the next morning, and they assigned us Edwards Heating and Cooling as the contractor. We were expecting a call from Edwards within a few hours. I called Edwards that afternoon and was told that the next availability was the following week. Not wanting to wait almost a week due to having a pregnant wife and 2 year old daughter to keep warm, I called other HVAC pros in my area to see if they could squeeze me in earlier. I was able to get another HVAC pro out to look at the furnace the following day. Their diagnosis was a crack in the heat exchanger. The home warranty company requested that Edwards provide a second opinion to avoid replacing the unit. After calling Edwards' office a few times, they came out a day or two later, and their diagnosis was a new control board and gas valve. They didn't provide the diagnosis to the home warranty company for almost 3 days, per the home warranty company, further delaying the issue . Edwards ordered replacement parts in December. Eric, the manager, called and said he would stop by on Friday 12/10. I took off work to be home a little early for him to not show up. We rescheduled, and I made plans to stay home on Saturday 12/11 only for him to keep delaying his arrival time and then eventually not showing up due to storms and power outages. I get that stuff happens, but why not send a quick message stating that you can't make it and reschedule for another day? We then made plans for his team to come out and replace the parts on Monday 12/13. The guy
Everything was taken care of
After sitting here all day the first guy never showed up. The second day the tech was here on time, walked in and looked at the heater. He took a picture and I kid you not was here no more than 5 minutes. I already knew what I needed for the repairs and the main one was my blower will not kick on unless I spin it by hand. He said he has to check on parts and he left. Remember this is after a 5 minute inspection. To this day I still have not heard back from them and it’s been over 2 WEEKS. My blower now runs 24 hours a day because if it goes off I have no heat. Thanks Edwards for your prompt service.
Fantastic communication, arrived on time for diagnostics, arrived on time for repair after part came in, repair completed quickly. Top notch.
Pros: able to get scheduled the same week I called. Timely arrival. David and Ethan were friendly and respectful. Heater was fixed in a matter of minutes as they had the part on the truck, and the total cost including service call was $130, compared to the estimate of another company of $600+. I emailed them once and got a same day response on a weekend, which I didn’t expect. Cons: called 1 day, gave info and was told the person who does the scheduling would call me back.....that didn’t happen, I had to call again......no big deal as they came out the next day. I guess I mention this as maybe multiple people could be cross trained to schedule appointments.
Called them to do a checkup on tue furnace before we start using it everyday. They are always professional and respectful. I would use a smaller local company over the big names. They appreciate the business and do better work.
