A friends car broke down and her only option was to park in the parking lot here. Her dad was there helping fix the problem within 20 minutes, and no later than 5 minutes that he arrived, the owner of the business came outside and persistently asked us to leave and that we couldn't park there as it was a "private business" and their customers need somewhere to park. There was zero possibility of moving the car without a tow truck, which was on its way within half an hour of the car breaking down. If this is how they treat someone in need, who literally cannot operate their car and is in need of a tow truck, then the way they must treat their regular customers must be terrible. I personally will never be using their service and will advice friends and family to not use their service.
I have used this company for over 20 years. They have done numerous jobs on my personal residence and my rental properties. When I am in need of a service, they are always very responsive and get the job done in a timely manner. I feel as though their prices are fair and the quality of their work is excellent. Truly a company I can trust for whatever I need. Most recently they have added a ductless mini split system to one of our rentals. The process was very smooth from beginning to end. My tenants love their new efficient heating AND cooling system. We are very happy with the service that they provided.
I had Pend Oreille Mechanical install an A/C unit and a gas fireplace. Both installations were efficient, clean, and hassle free. The crew was on time and days after the installs called to make sure everything was working properly and to our liking.

These guys moved our whole boiler system from our loft onto the first floor and did an amazing job! We can now access our system easily, it is quiet and efficient and all of our equipment is updated! The team was professional and timely and offered great follow-up after the install! I would highly recommend them!

Save your time booking an appointment with this company. After being put off for 10 days for a furnace appointment. I was called the morning of the appointment and told the tech called in sick and they didn't know when they would be back? Still haven't been called back? I called Cool It in Sandpoint and they fixed my furnace fast, they were friendly, knowledgable and affordable.

This is the 6th time I've used Pend Oreille Mechanical at my home and at my rental properties and they have always done a great job. In addition to being highly satisfied with their work, I found their pricing more than fair. The office staff, is always knowledgeable, and with their pleasant voices is always ready to answer all my questions. Dave is the person that always shows up ready to tackle the problem at hand. He is very personable, always on time and patient with all the questions I throw his way, explaining each and every little thing he does in the repairing process. Doug Dishing, the owner is of the same mold. They are proof positive for the phrase "shop local" and they do not “upsell” which is really appreciated! I recently had a misunderstanding with regard to a charge and Doug made it right immediately when I explained the situation. They will always be my go-to company for HVAC needs. Great experience with these folks. They've serviced (bi-yearly)my furnace for the last 10 years. The furnace is 20 years old and just needed a couple of parts replaced and Dave knew exactly what the problem was, ordered the part and repaired in the time frame he promised. Would recommend them highly.
Came two years ago and didn't fix it. Came out last spring and didn't fix it. Charged me $200 each . Then called them back in fall to really fix it, and even though I took a day off work to meet them they didn't show up. The Receptionist was nice, but the workers refused to set a time they could be there so I wouldn't have to take a full day off. Not very helpful and apparently can't fix my furnace anyway. They obviously don't need any more business because they treat customers like they don't really care. If this is how you want to be treated, then call them for help.
