I spoke to the guy on the phone letting him know that I have an AC problem that I need Freon (R22). I asked him how much does he charge for the Freon? He told me he charge $125 per lb an $65 for the labor. And he told me that he was at his daughter birthday party and he will call me back at 6 PM. I gave him a call because I was a little bit concerned that he was not going to make it because of the event that he was at. He answered the phone and he let me know that he had to stop at two places before he comes to see me. This's where he got very heated with me. After the birthday party, he gave me a call he informed me he had to diagnose my AC unit to make sure that I need Freon. I did let him know that was the issue. I just need R22 freon. At that point his was very aggressive to me over the phone letting me know that I had to put in 2 pounds of Freon in my AC unit. I told him that I did not have that much of money for 2 pounds. I only had enough for 1 pound, he did let me know after that he was not the guy for me in an aggressive manner. He could have told me in a different way and tone that was pleasing to the customer ear. (Meaning, in a nice way). I definitely do not recommend him to anyone not the way how he treated me.

I really appreciated the way he was able to communicate effectively and got the system working in a timely manner. Excellent Service from Prator Heating & Air!
Let me tell you how amazing Prator Heating and Air is and I promise I’ll try to keep it at a minimum. For two years I’ve had to contact CoolRay regarding my air going out every year around this time. Each time I had to pay $200. This year when I contacted the company for the same issue, I was told that I would have to pay $600. To make a long story short, I told them NO because they never told me what the issue was and they still charged me $85 for coming out. I reached out to my brother because I remember he had a unit installed by Prator Heating and Air. When I called the company, I spoke with Rick. He came out the next day (a holiday at that) and gave me a detailed explanation regarding the real issue why my home wasn’t cooling. Now my little ones and I are enjoying the AC. I definitely recommend this company, especially for their availability, professionalism, and thoroughness.
Referred by a neighbor. Needed to replace aging A/C and Furnace for my Dad's house. Their service was excellent from beginning to end. Rick is very knowledgeable and professional. Did not try to over or up sell which is what I got from several other HVAC companies. They also provide seasonal maintenance. The entire transaction was a win win for my Dad. Highly recommended.

I am writing this review from the customer perspective of both AC maintenance over 2-3 years, as well as my most recent service call where I had my AC Unit replaced. Mr. Prator is responsive & reliable, professional and very knowledgeable. He is easy to work with and very thorough. I will definitely use him again if the need arises and I would recommend him to anyone in need of HVAC services.
The installation of my Air conditioning unit was a smooth and flawless experience. I called on a Friday and we scheduled for the following Tuesday. I was impressed with the turn around time as well as the service and professionalism. I would definitely recommend Prator Heating and Air for any heating and air concerns.

Mr. Prator was very professional on time and gave me a great price. He installed my furnace the summer of 2017 and installed my air conditioner the summer of 2018. I have not had any issues with my unit and I'm very satisfied. I have referred him and will continue to refer his business.Thx again.
Prator installation crew were professional, knowledgeable, efficient, explained equipments, provided information warrant registration, clean up and removal of all old equipment...I'm satisfied with their workmanship AC working excellent.
