Best place to work
I’ve lived here over 20 years and easily the best A/C company I’ve found…I wish I had found them earlier! Fantastic service from the phone call to the folks that came out to diagnose and then repair. Honest and affordable. I wouldn’t go to anyone else now!
I purchased my house in 2015 and my husband immediately found this company on google search. They came out to my house and quoted us to have two ac units installed along with duct work on the upper level of my house. Shortly after they did the ductwork and installing both units I noticed a leak on my ceiling which extended from the hallway to the spare bedroom. I contacted them and they sent one of the repair men whom informed me that one of their men that did the ductwork forgot to seal one of the pipes and that was the reason it was leaking. I kept having problems with the unit upstairs until one day they told me that the reason it kept shutting down was due to the thermostat that I picked out which was a nest instead of the one they wanted to sell me. Had problems with the upstairs unit over and over until one day I decided to call another air conditioning company whom came out and told me that the capacitor they had installed on the upstairs unit was wrong and the amps were so strong that it kept blowing out. Bottom line Winter Haven AC do not know what they are doing, they are over priced on everything from maintenance to service and also for the purchase of equipment. I will not recommend this company and to put insult to injury I had called them one day because my ac was not working and they said they were sending out someone and never stated that they were going to charge for coming out next thing I know there is an invoice from them and when I disputed it they simply stated that they would no longer provide me with service. What a joke. Please do research before hiring any company I learned my lesson.
BEWARE! FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO FIX YOUR AC!!! Called out company for air conditioner not cooling. I was told we had a leak and they could put dye in it to determine but no guarantee it would fix anything and they suggest that we replace the entire inside air handler. So we did as they advised and replaced the inside air handler with a 100% brand new unit for almost $3,000.00. The handler we had originally in the home was under warranty which WH Air wouldnt take the time to honor for us. Knowing what I know now they probably double dipped and took my 3k plus got 3k back from the warranty also. Then less than a year later we are still having a "leak" and they want 400 to fill it with frion which was supposed to be fixed with putting in a brand new AC. I told the manager I wouldn't pay the 400 until they could assure me the problem was fixed. They then talked me into replacing the entire outside unit which I did also for almost 4,000. Now I have an entire new system and I am out a whole bunch of money. The company is not honest. A new system was probably never needed. Now I recently had an issue and the company refused to come out and service their own unit!!! So after paying them 7k they won't even come out to do maintenance or repair on it. Good thing I found another company that we have known for years to come out and fix our problem with a 12.00 part. Which is probably all we ever needed in the first place. BEWARE!!!!! Dishonest rip off company with little knowledge and very poor customer service.
I want to thank Winter Haven A.C. for doing such a wonderful job repairing our entire system..we recently moved here and it was a mess. They were professional..and communicated perfectly. The entire team is top notch..from the office to all the technicians. We will be customers for life. Thanks again..your new friends...Mark and Diana. :)
I called looking for a Preventative maintenance visit and possible AC purchase and was told i could not get an appointment until Sept at the earliest. SO they missed out on a sale and service contract. I will have to take my money elsewhere .
Seem like really nice people...
Update, unit failed, but there were RIGHT there to fix it. No hassle, thank you again. Fast, awesome service. Same day, called early morning with my AC down, they had the replacement unit available and installed same day. Great customer service.
As usual a 10 plus. Have used their services for over 10 years.
Very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this company as we were teated with respect and technician took his time to explain what went wrong. Will use this company for future issues.
I am editing my review to state I am not the home owner I am a tenant. We have had Winter Haven air come to our rental home several times over the past few years. Although I have had issues with this company they have strived to make things right. Super fast response time after hours! They arrived in minutes.
John Marchetti of Star Realty, I have utilized Winter Haven Air Conditioning, Inc. for services to our rentals for more than 15 years with great results. Because of their good business practices, I am responding to an incorrect review left by not a homeowner, but a tenant. The tenant complained that the A/C was not keeping up. Winter Haven A/C was called to inspect the A/C system. (8/21/2018). Upon inspection of the air conditioning system and ductwork in the attic space, the attic was found to be full of debris the tenants had placed in attic space. Winter Haven A/C’s technician took pictures of debris and the evidence of a rat infestation that had destroyed the ductwork. Winter Haven A/C presented me with the photos of the condition of ductwork that now needed replacement. The tenets were confronted with the fact that they had contributed to the problem, and the homeowner now had to foot the bill for replacement of ductwork. I had the Tenant's call TECO for their Energy Audit which was inspected on 10/2/2018 by Energy Analyst Mike Rhoads. His recommendation was this property qualify's for their Weatherization Program which was schedule for November 6th, 2018. Therefore, Winter Haven A/C had nothing to do with any delay in repairing the ductwork. I have relied on their expertise, value and good business practices in which I knew I wanted to provide a rebuttal.

Great company with fast response time.
We have sold our home now but we had used this company a few times and we were very happy with their arriving quickly when there was an issue and they were always very professional.
After my father had died in 2016, we spoke with the owner David who found us a really good deal on a Frigidaire package unit for our single story home off of Rifle Range Road. Jerry and his assistant installed the unit. I worked out of town at the time, but Jerry spent a great deal of time talking to my mother and allowing her to tell stories of my father without ever attempting to rush her. Jerry and his assistant even checked out the package unit at our rental next door (40 minutes of their time no additional charge.) Jerry also answered all the questions that my mother had and even ones that she hadn't thought of yet. My old package unit must have been quite outdated as the power bill has dropped around $140-170 each month since the installation (the old one was from the mid 1990's.) We're at 2018 now and the power bill is still at this new low. Also, Jerry and the assistant built around where the device hooks up to the home quite well, matching the factory metals on the unit quite well and such. I thought the guarding they installed was part of the package unit because they matched it so well, lol. I've had one annual maintenance and only had to flip my breaker once after a storm. Prior to the install, David was awesome when we were low on funds, installing compacitors and other parts on the outdated unit during service calls, helping us to make it last as long as possible. The entire time he did this, he was completely visible and honest, telling us it was essentially a dead unit and maybe this would buy a few months or so. If he would have discussed these sort of power bill savings we would have put the new install on a credit card right then and there! As you can see, I've been quite excited over the effect on the power bill these past few years.
I had my entire AC system changed including ducts, vent covers and all the other updates required with replacing the entire AC system in your house. The job cost estimate and thorough evaluation of the clients needs were very competitive and an excellent value. Matt was the main contractor doing the job and co-ordinated with his co-workers very well in order to get the job done. His attention to detail and dedication is not something you see every day. He did not stop working until the job was done right and refused any half measures on the entire built. He is super respectful and always was attentive to the clients wishes and needs. Matt has earned my respect as a client and will definitely call WINTER HAVEN AC for any of my air conditioning needs.
Knowledgeable staff, friendly environment. A great team to take care of your air conditioning and heating needs.
4 pm panic - A/C suddenly gave up the ghost. But thanks to the good people at Winter Haven Air Conditioning, their repairman Tim was at our door one hour later and sorted it all out. Fan motor was out but thankfully the condenser is still alive, so total bill "only" $425. Tim was awesome: courteous, on the ball, helpful.
I made a review about a week ago and I would just like to add to it. Unfortunately after having another air condition tech from a different company come out to diagnose the problem due to the Winter Haven Air Condition company diagnosing it incorrectly they still refuse to return the 80$ that was taken. What is crazy to me is they had their entire family in there pretty much cursing me out because I wanted to talk to the owner. The lady even said it was common sense but it seems to not be common sense considering their own tech was unable to diagnose it correctly. I would not be as aggravated if he would have taken his time, but he seemed to be needing to go somewhere so bad he couldn't even take a look through the attic or to even turn the air condition on. Like I said when I returned the family and the owner cursed me out and told me I costed them 300$ when they only charged me 80$ and made complete profit. I would just like the owner to be able to talk to me appropriately and not curse at me, that just is not the way business is suppose to be done. Very unsatisfied. I am currently having to deal with the Better Business Bureau all for a 80$ refund. Just sad and a extreme waste of time.
