Air stopped working. Technician came out promptly. Tested several things and recommended to replace entire unit. Another crew came out and restored indoor and outdoor unit the same day. They got it done quickly and they were very neat.
Air Around the Clock (company) is a total Fraud. Between June 29, 2023, and July 7, 2023 I paid a total of $1,622 for service and labor for the installation of a new evaporator coil (under manufacture warranty). The evaporator coil installed was too big and they forced it in, damaging the case of the unit. After the coil was installed, they told me that the unit was rusty. I have been without a/c since the 1st day this company came and charged me the $1,622. After many attempts to make it work, today (July 7, 2023) a supervisor told me that they cannot fix this unit because of the corrosion problem. Also, this company failed to disclose the corrosion problem in the first place. I have been dealing with Airs Around the Clock for an entire week and I am still without a/c and without my money so I requested either to fix it or to refund my money but he declined my request. Is this a responsible way to do business? I will not recommend this company at all!
Luke came to fix my second unit where the condenser wasn’t running. I assisted him by flipping breakers to determine it was a bad breaker, he determined there was also a bad capacitor. I’ve bought capacitors on Amazon and changed them myself but I let him do it as part of the repair. $265 for a capacitor replacement??? Seriously? That’s what he said was the charge. In addition, I recall being told the $95 service charge would be removed if we paid for the repair but he called that out as well when reading off the charges. I don’t blame Luke, he did a good job figuring it out and getting it fixed, I put the ownership of the charges on the company. After paying you folks to replace both my AC units in 2019, a coil cleaning in 2021, and now 2 repairs this year, I think I’ll be looking for a new company the next time I need AC service. I’m sorry because I really do like that you all get it right and you’re punctual - but I can’t stomach $265 to replace a $30 part that takes 15 minutes to swap, emergency or not.
After dealing with an unreliable company. It felt good to deal with Sylnair from Air around the Clock. He fixed our air in record time. He was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. I will recommend this company and their technician, Sylnair to anyone.
The a/c (system replacement) evaluation and installation was just done as I have been 1200 miles away, so you can imagine how important the over-the-phone communication was to me. Your mechanics, CHARLES G on evaluation yesterday, and ChrisSC Rivra on removal and installation today, were in my book great communicators and certainly excellent representatives of Air Around the Clock. I retired and closed my 40 year long mechanical service business just a few short years ago, so my comments should be understood in that light. Very impressed!!! Hopefully, when I get back to Florida, the installation will speak for itself. Thanks to you as well, Air Around the Clock.
I called because my unit was not working. A very friendly technician came out but unfortunately he Misdiagnosed my problem saying I needed a new motor. The gentleman was very polite, but he only opened the top part of the unit, touched a few wires, and said I needed a new motor. He ordered a new motor and said someone would call me to set up the installation. I proceeded to get a second opinion as $1000 is a lot of money. Another company came and the new person opened the bottom part of the unit, saw that the drain system was clogged and proceeded to flush it out and vacuum the pump and pan. He then tested the drain system and it is operating normally. My air is blowing cold and everything is working perfectly. I am very glad I got the second opinion as the cost was $26 plus the $90 service charge. A big difference from the $95 service charge and $995 I would have paid for an unneeded new motor.
I live on the first floor in a condominium, but my unit is unique compared to all others in the building because of its specific location in the building. My AC unit is an all-in-one heat-pump system and sits above the water heater in the building's cramped utility closet (original designation from the builder in 1966). This time, I went for a conventional split system (handler in the closet and condenser outside the building). By trying to figure out how to convert to this better system, it opened an avalanche of complications. This is where I praise Air Around The Clock's Steve Cartier, VP. Steve is definitely a late 50's - early 60's seasoned AC specialist. Steve's diligence to trying to figure out the proper way to do this that would satisfy the city of Ft Lauderdale and my condo association was most frustrating because every step forward led to another complication and setback with city permits. The thing that was remarkable in this ordeal was the personal dedication and I could feel that I was no longer just a customer, but someone that genuinely was trying to help me out of this living nightmare.Ultimately after a couple of weeks of back-and-forth, Steve found an adequate solution, but it would have cost three times more that simply replacing for the same type AC. As for AATC business decorum, everyone was pleasant, professional, on time, and helpful. I resigned to replace my AC with the same type (because it was infinitely less complicated and cheaper). They also replaced my water heater and so far, they did an excellent job.
The job could not be completed but I am very pleased so far with the plumber you sent. It is Justin and the plan is for him to return to do the work on Tuesday because the water has to be turned off to the entire building and 48 hours must be given.
Year after year we receive good and honest service from Air Around the Clock. Sam was here today for our 6-month maintenance and gave us a helpful status report on our AC unit.
The service technicians showed up early after the 4th of July celebration, the hottest day on record. They replaced the entire 2006 Rheem central A/C system by the end of the day. Absolutely fantastic work!
Technician just walked off the job because I wouldn’t buy his extended warranty (on a 3.5 year old AC unit) after he assumed I wanted it. When I told him I only wanted to buy the repair service. He gave me a price and I asked for the 10% discount that is included as a maintenance plan service customer and advertised as a benefit on their website. He got angry, handed me back my credit card, and said he was having a bad day and someone would deal with it tomorrow. Literally just left. It’s a real shame because we were customers of Perfect Degrees which was a great family run company with exceptional service but they were acquired by ATC and it’s been downhill ever since. The technician even argued initially that he didn’t think the unit warranty applied because ATC didn’t install the unit, even though it’s a manufacturers warranty and ATC bought the company that installed it.
I called for AC Service on 6/30/23. The service rep called within 10 minutes of my family notifying me of his arrival . The conclusion was a coil replacement for$3k plus or a new unit for $5.8k. There was a Freon leak that was never tested. The immediate sales pitch was: “I can fix it, but it will have other problems for sure”. What???? Everything has to be maintained, and sometimes there are not necessarily additional costly problems. This was like a street hustler — shame on this rep. An alternative company came on 7/3, and diagnosed a reparable leak, by actually testing for where the leak was. The cost was a third of the proposal from . Air Around the clock. Try Lindstrom Air instead, they’re more professional and capable of selling you what you need, and then providing other options you choose vs. slam blasting new purchases.
I had a bump in the road on a service appointment but Kathy from Air Around the Clock followed up and made sure I was taken care of. Above and beyond what I expected. It really made me feel like my business mattered and I sure appreciate the great service. I will stay a loyal customer.
I’ll start this by saying I rarely leave reviews, but this interaction really bothered me. I called ATC on Wednesday evening around 6PM. I remembered all their advertisements and decided to try them. They said there would be a service charge of $195 for emergency service and the tech would be here between 8-11, great. Got a call around 7PM saying tech would be here by 9PM, even better. At around 9:15PM got a text saying service call was completed followed by a one ring call from an unfamiliar number. Tried calling back and got generic voicemail message. I immediately called ATC and spoke with someone who said the tech arrived and no one answered the door or phone call. I explained I had been home all evening awaiting the techs arrival. They said they would try to reach him and the service manager to see if he could come back and they would let me know. I checked my cameras which showed no activity. At 10:15PM I called back again for an update. They said they would send another message to the service manager. At 11:20PM I called again for an update. They said they would try to reach the service manager again. I asked if I could reschedule for the following day and they said the service manager would get back to me shortly and make arrangements. About an hour later, I got tired of waiting and decided the family and I would stay at a hotel. 3 days later and still no call back. I understand mistakes happen and maybe they could’ve gone to the wrong residence, but I would expect some type of follow up. Maybe they’re busy enough where it doesn’t matter to them. I’m sure some people have had great experiences with them, but mine was terrible. I will say everyone I spoke with was very polite. On Saturday I called Best AIr Conditioning of Coral Springs on a friend’s recommendation. They were here within hours, fair, and checked back after the service call to ensure my concern was properly corrected. They will have my business from now on. ATC was right, my wife was hot.
Charged way too much. We had warranty and nothing was covered under it for this call. Was hard to communicate due to the person servicing us did not speak English. After they left our AC had an error code pop up for “no power” and we had to google our issue and ultimately resolved it ourselves.
Charles arrived on time. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He was understanding of my situation. Everyone was friendly and answer my questions truthfully. Very helpful
Hottest days of summer and have people visiting. A/C decides to conk out. A couple others places wanted me to wait one or two days before a tech could come out! What? Two day wait? Not with Air Around the Clock - came out same day!
Technician Steve L came to my home on time, was very courteous, and immediately started troubleshooting my problem. In no time, he had cold air blowing. That's worth it's weight on gold in S. Florida. Thanks Steve L and Thank you Air Around the Clock!
Repairman showed up on time, was very professional and personable. He completed the task in record time. All in all a very pleasant experience. I am glad I called Air Around The Clock!
I had my water heater quit on me 2 days ago, I called A T C and within an hour they had someone out to look at it. Considering that the unit was already over 14 years old at this point, I decided on installing a new one. The following morning before 8 am. I received a call from Josh at ATC informing me that he had the new Heater and we coordinated it's installment. Josh did a great job installing the unit along with some assistance from his teammate Cero. Thanks guys.
