I have used Thigpen for years. They corrected a problem that my first installer had made, easand then went to install a new unit when it was time. I recently had ductless units installed in 2 areas and we couldn't be happier with the products, installation and staff. Just got our first electric bill after the Daikin installation and we were pleasantly surprised! Wayne, Tyler and Jack have saved us from high usage and managed to keep us cool. They are awesome!
We had such a great experience replacing our HVAC system with Thigpen. We shopped this replacement around with 4 other companies but what Thigpen offered was not just a replacement but a solution to an issue we had getting air to the handler. Our sales rep was amazing and knowledgeable and the install guys were just as great. We also had the ducts cleaned and sanitized and that group of guys were super too. We definitely recommend Thigpen.
Paul Ruckman is definitely a 5 star employee. He is very knowledgeable, detailed, professional, polite and an asset to Thigpen. He found and fixed a a/c problem caused by another company plus some other issues. I felt worry free when he left. I highly recommend Thigpen Heating and Cooling.
Very fast to unload and accommodating. There is one thing I must mention. Whe coming here go on Power rd to Victor then Dawn and got west on dawn turn Left into the drive to go behind the building to the docks. If you come from the other way (power rd to Dawn) when you reach the warehouse you'll have to turn right to turn into the driveway and there is a telephone pole and an open ditch and you will not make that turn. Your trailer tires will get stuck in that ditch. Other than that the get 5 ☆☆☆☆☆for their service.
Paul Ruckman came yesterday at 5 pm to repair our AC and did not leave last night until 9 pm! He was committed to finding the problem and making sure we had air before he left. I cannot say enough about his professionalism and customer service. He gets 5 Stars in my book! Thank you for a great night's sleep. I will never go anywhere else.

Paul Ruckman was our technician. He was excellent. He solves any and all problems not just the one you asked him to solve. He is on time, professional and accurate about the time, scope and cost of what needs to be done. I am going to request him specifically for all future servicing calls etc.
Our service rep Paul Ruckman was on time and quickly resolved the issue with our AC not cooling. He also provided details regarding annual service that saved me $$$! I'm very happy with Thigpen maintenance service and Paul's work! Paul was very professional, cleaned up after and made sure there were no other issues.
We were so thankful for Thigpen’s quick, effective, and efficient response to our AC problems! Our technician, Paul Ruckman, and his apprentice, Ron, were wonderful. They were friendly, professional, and most importantly - they fixed our system quickly. They were great about explaining everything they were doing, showing us what needed fixing and why. And they were cheerful despite it being the end of a long, hot day. Thank you!
Amazing service! Paul came out after hours and got us up and running to save us from a night of sweating and not sleeping. Ernie came out a couple days later and finished it all up. It was a good price, especially considering what they did in the time that it took to do it! Call them up, you will not be sorry! I know Thigpen will be the first place we call in the future.
I usually don't write a review because English is my second language. But I would like to write about Ms Morgan Smoot, who is working at Thigpen Heating & cooling, Inc. She is absolutely reliable, knows what to do, very professional, friendly and polite. She makes customers feel so comfortable! When our A/C broke down, the first company I hired could not solve our problem even though they charged me so much money for the service fee, diagnosis fee and freon. They said they needed to order the part which is still under warranty. Even after one month they couldn't get the part they ordered and I had to switched to Thigpen heating & cooling and talked to Ms Morgan Smoot. The part arrived after 7 days like she told me and next day the technician came on time and fixed it. Now it works fine. Mr Paul Ruckman, the technician, was very professional, polite and also knew very well what to do! I felt so sorry that he had to work in such a hot environment. In addition, their price was very reasonable when compared to the other companies I talked to! I strongly recommend talking to Ms Morgan Smoot when your A/C has a problem. This time I learned a lessen, how important it is to hire the right company. Otherwise we didn't have to suffer living without A/C in the middle of the hottest time in FL for more than one month. Definitely I would use this company again when I have a problem with A/C.
We used them to install a brand new system and all was fine for the first year, but after the warranty expired we have had nothing but problems. We continued to use them for maintenance and cleaning and approximately one month after the last ‘maintenance’ our drain line was completely clogged causing our unit to shut down completely and stop cooling. But it wasn’t Thigpen that caught this, though they should have during maintenance. It was another company who is our new go to for our A/C tech and maintenance.
Had a A/C problem. I said I HAD an A/C problem which was handled completely and professionally by Thigpen. Chris and his helper got the problem solved quickly. Thanks for the great service guys !
Our A/C broke down June 2022, the worst month. First, we call the company we bought our unit from, which ended being a complete fiasco. We then called Thigpen A/C and they promptly sent a technician. Paul was very thorough and professional; he confirmed that the unit needed to be replaced. We received a call from Mike, Sales Manager who came over the same day to discuss our options, repairing vs replacing the unit. We opted to replace the unit. The next morning the installers were here, Theo and Dilshod were very knowledgeable and professional; they kept us up to date through the install. During the install Robert, Company Engineer stopped by to verify that the options I wanted could be done. Later on, Mike came over to verify the install and that we were satisfied. Overall, the prices and warranty were better than the competition. The service and professionalism were beyond our expectations. Now, I understand why Thigpen A/C is the best A/C Company in Jacksonville. Definitively, we highly recommend them.
Both Chris and Ron were knowledgeable and professional. Worked from the moment they came in to the moment they left. Answered all questions without hesitation and clean any debris from the work site. Express the need for items and suggestions for improving the quality of our HVAC system without pressure. Thanks for a great job and your honesty, integrity and knowledge!

Horrible, unresponsive. I was scheduled for a call, they gave me a two hour window and never came. When I would call the office no one picked up. Don’t waste your Saturday relying on these people because they won’t show up or even let you know they aren’t coming.
Our old A/C unit developed a leak and we had to replace it. The sales rep (Wayne Furr) came out the next morning and provided an evaluation of our old, out date system. He presented options from the basic to the most energy efficient system offered. He spent more than sufficient time explaining the pluses and minuses of each. He provided thorough financial benefits of each along with options. We chose the energy efficient option and got rebates from the manufacture and other incentives. It was a pleasure to work with Wayne in this process. Fortunately, Thigpen could come out the next day to remove our old unit and install the new one. All involved were very professional during the process and I would recommend to anyone to use their service or at the least give them a chance to use their service.
They came when they said they did. Bob was very professional and a hold of the landlord lived in another city state he took time with the landlord to discuss the problems of the houses. He was very very professional. There was even a nineteen-year-old in the other house and she felt very comfortable with him
I just had Thigpen HVAC’s Annual Maintenance Service performed on 3 HVAC heat pump systems at my residence. Paul Ruckman, senior service technician did the service. The service we received today was detailed, comprehensive service and complete “by-the-book” guidelines from the manufacturer. Today’s service is the 1st time that I have received HVAC service equal to what is use to get prior to my move to Jacksonville. I highly recommend Thigpen HVAC’s Annual Maintenance Service, and especially Paul Ruckman, Senior Service Technician. Paul Ruckman gets 5-stars from me. Just superior service - job well done!
