I am only giving one star because I cannot give zero stars. I called Mid FL AC, as a snake had slithered into my AC and caused it to break. Mid FL came out quickly after I called. The tech seemed knowledgeable and upsold me on a maintenance cleaning package and start assist. Altogether I paid $812.00. I specifically asked the tech, his name was Zain, about removing the snake and any additional debris, so that my family and I would not be breathing in decomposing snake particles or bad smells. Zane just replied that I would not be getting any smells in the house from the outside. Zain finished his work and I paid the account in full and he left. To prevent this from happening again I purchased an AC cover to keep snakes from entering again, and when I went to slide it over the AC I saw that Zain had JUST LEFT THE SNAKE THERE ROTTING!!!! I called the after-hours number to communicate how upset I was and spoke to a woman named Tonya, who said it wasn't their problem and that I would have to call pest control. I wish he would have explained that to me while he was here, or given me the opportunity to remove it myself while he still had the AC unit open. MY OVERALL IMPRESSION OF MID FL IS THAT THEY ARE QUICK, BUT THEY ARE LAZY AND CARE MORE ABOUT UPSELLING AND UPCHARGING THEN DISCUSSING HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERNS REGARDING DEOCOMPSING WILD-LIFE IN THE AC UNIT, and for the price $812.00 that was exceedingly poor maintenance.
In January of 2022 I was charged for a repair covered by warranty with the assurance in 6-8 weeks I would receive reimbursement. 18 months later, no $$$! Many calls asking where the repayment is, every time Tonya reassures me she sees where it was warranty covered and that "accounting" will return my call letting me know when they are mailing the check. Apparently "accounting" doesn't have a phone nor the checkbook. In January 2022, I had 2 remaining prepaid 6 month maintenance calls. In addition to NEVER reimbursing the warranty work they also never performed the prepaid service visits. Is there any management at this company???? Time to call Bounds!!!
The Ocala division, just installed a new heating and air system at my house. They offered an excellent price point with quality products and a professional crew. Because of construction issues, they had to work with the Marion county scheduling permit office. They were terrific and never gave up. I mainly dealt with Brittany on the phone and she was available every time I called. I highly recommend this business.
Mid-Florida is very professional from start to finish. Their process is very thorough. Installation is flawless and the new system is operating smoothly.
Very nice people Gerald was very helpful when other companies said I couldn't get heat and air. Gerald knew within 5 minutes what we need. They are getting it done. Thank you
I appreciate the friendly, caring, professional service that Mid-Florida ensures its customers. When something went wrong a month after a service call, they fixed the problem without charging! I like the heat pump they installed--so much quieter than the one it replaced.
We have used Mid Florida Heating and Air since 2008 when we had to get a new HVAC system. They have done the preventative maintenance as well and now we are replacing the HVAC with a new system. They have always been straightforward with recommendations and service. They answer all our questions with a professional attitude and knowledge. Zane has worked with us several times and always follows up after the service call. It's nice to know you can count on a dedicated service company to do things right, especially nowadays! Thanks to all at Mid Florida Heating and Air!

Over promise and under deliver is the company motto. Every single contact I have had with the company has been initiated by me. Sold an incorrect product, then had a no-call no-show for service of said product. A month later had correct service that service manager was supposed to be present and did not show. We have been waiting a month for 3 vents that were supposed to be delivered. I have placed 2 phone calls to the office with no response or return call. I can not believe they are still in business. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Your time is not valued and their words produce no change or action.
I called and reported my unit being out on September 26th. Spoke with a rep that told me the part was on back order. I completely understood the part was on back order but when I would reach out for updates I received a different answer each time. I would have to call the company and when I did the representatives were rude and acted as if I was bothering them. Mind yourself it’s now November 14th I still have no A/C and an child at home who’s an asthmatic. I asked for a portable unit and was told there were none available. They don’t care and now when I call they hang up the phone or put me on hold and never come back. This is the worse customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Looking for another service provider now!
My system was installed by MFHA earlier in the year and they were back today for maintenance. Charles was polite, on time and thoroughly inspected the unit. Explained all that was done and explained the need for future maintenance ⛑. Thanks 😃MFHA for the service. We see the big orange truck 🚚 everywhere. 👍
Called an made an appointment for 9am next day after my AC went out. They called 30 minutes before my appointment to tell me they couldn’t come out until 3pm-6pm. By the time I called other places they had no appointments available. Super unprofessional.
It was supposed to be part of a stress free program but is not that. The first thing that happened is when the sales person didn't tell us everything before signing sales agreement. Like we have to install a door before they would put the system in. The salesmen told us that only after signing and 2 to 3 days later. Then the system wasnt operating correctly and did not pass permits the first time due to additional repair needed to be done with the installation. Then trying to get the correct paperwork with the correct serial numbers for what we bought didn't match what they had installed so I had to make sure we are paying for what we ordered and not somethingelse and being charged a higher price for an inferior unit. This took forever due to this company not fixing the paperwork with the finance company nor would it send me the correct paperwork to prove what we actually where going to be paying for. Finally after multiple times and numerous people saying they would fix it and having to just be told lies. I contacted the finance place and they too had been trying to get it corrected with them after numerous phone calls. The company didnt have all the parts we had purchased on the document they wanted us to sign. Even a lady over at Mid-FLorid. stated she had sent me an updated document from the finance company which still had the missing parts; she went on to say she couldnt put them on form and send me proof, she still send the same missing parts. However the finance company was able to include these numbers on the paper and send it by email; but Mid- Florida couldn't.Then they finanlly came out to do the repair for the permit guy and nothing in her email dicussed signing when they came out to do the repair and after the gas guy for the permit came out the other guy wth mid-Florida was sitting in his truck. He never came back to the door to ask for any signature nor did he mention it even after being in my house several times. Nor did Mid-Florida call me while h
Wesley was knowledgeable and professional. He found a problem with the air handling system during the maintenance visit and showed it to me. He explained the difference between trying to fix it and purchasing a new unit. He was understanding of my situation and showed me options if I chose to replace the system. The most economical solution appeared to be to replace it with a reasonably priced unit. He scheduled the replacement service within 2 days. I have been a Mid-Fla customer for 10+ years and found them to provide excellent service with customer consideration and respect. Their staff and technicians follow the company motto of respecting customers and offering them quality, fair and friendly service.
Ken was outstanding, he has been looking after our old unit for 2 yours and finally needing a new unit. He was honest and extremely personable. He told us what what he recommended and we decided what we needed to fit our needs. Peter did our actual installation and nothing more than respectful of our property. He was very friendly and personable and very professional. I can’t say enough about your organization, highly recommend your organization to anyone that needs your expertise. They was awesome very nice just busy they had to change a date on me once but it ended up working better for me but they are great ppl fixed a problem they found when just came out for maintenance really good people
Bought a.c. unit 5 years ago paid over 5000.00. Had nothing but trouble. Has cost me more in repairs than unit. They never offered to replace or give a price break on a ##*#! A.c. do not use them
Shane was professional and patient with us as we went through various options to get our ac up and running. He is very knowledgeable, not pushy at all. He worked hard to help us get cool. Very impressed.
I would steer away from Mid-Florida Heating and Air (had bad experiences with them and they notoriously do not register the equipment they install with the manufacturers they expect the homeowners to do it -this is NOT industry standard BTW so if something goes wrong you won’t be covered under manufacturing warranty.) They also installed a thermostat that was not functioning from the beginning, it worked only as and “on/off” switch. When I told several technicians this, they just blew me off, even telling me, I would need to purchase several small thermometers and place them around the house to prove the thermostat wasn’t working (which I reluctantly did). When I finally got another company to come check the thermostat, a new technician walked in and said immediately, “You know there’s a known set of problems with this unit don’t you? I had one myself I just replaced. Let me replace it today no cost, it’s under warranty. “ But then he couldn’t, because Mid-Florida didn’t register the $700 unit when they installed it! So I just bought a newer less complicated thermostat, and it actually works now and things are much more regulated in my household now that I have a unit that works and technicians that listen:)) When I called Mid-Florida to explain what happened and to see if they could provide any compensation since they had made the original mistake and had ignored my complaints, they said there was “nothing they could do for me”.
The young man who replaced my ductwork and did various associated repairs did an excellent job. He single-handedly took care of the entire job that I’m sure usually has at least two people on task. After the job was finished, there was not even a tiny piece of insulation or trash left behind. Very respectful and impressive!
