My AC broke around 9pm on a Friday night. I called a ton of companies and Kevin at Captain Cold was the only one who said he could do the repair the same night and he was here within 30 minutes. It was a blown capacitor and he fixed it just as quickly as he arrived. Incredible turn around time and very knowledgeable, he will be my go to for AC service and repair from now on!
I paid $5,800.00 for a replacement unit, which I thought was a fair price for the wok that needed to be done. The technician, Ricky , was very short with me when answering questions, but I figured the job was done right. This was done November 21, 2021, following huracan Ian , I went on the roof where I found the A/C unit flipped and a neat pile of screws next to the unit. After inspecting , we realized that the unit was not properly secured to the roof, the pictures show where the base of the unit stood and how no screws held the unit. To further the lack of professionalism , we had a service call long before the huracán because it wasn't cooling and they didn't secure the unit at that time either. I'm trying to reach them after the huracán but nobody answer the phone and the voice mail is not working.
Was not happy with the fact they were no call no show. Week after the hurricane the electricity was working and the AC was not. We called captain cold and they said they would be out later that day. We stayed home and waited and waited. We called back and they never answered the phone. So we called another AC company which did show up that day. We got a call 3 days after from captain cold saying they are ready to come out and check our AC.
I'm driving along 41 in fort myers and the driver of the truck with this business flips me off and cuts everyone else off in front of gum because they made the wrong turn. I wouldn't have made a review but this almost caused a wreck. What a terrible business
Mr Eddie came and fixed my a/c and now my house is cold again!! Thanks and highly recommend them for the job

Had a new AC system installed in 2022, they did the install without issues or disruption and left no mess at all. A month later there was an issue with the unit itself, which can happen, but their response was excellent - they fixed it the same day and the technician was excellent and efficient. Very happy with their services.
The owner Kevin was so incredibly nice. He explained everything to us. We’re on vacation in Captiva and it’s very hot in our AC went out. He showed up at 7:30 at night and still had two other jobs to do. Very professional. Highly recommend him and his work ethics!
