Recently had a technician out for yearly service. Did minor service if any. We asked if the coils needed cleaning and were told that they were still good. Since then we've had a constant drip and it seems that the coils are dirty. I don't blame the tech entirely. The new ownership is always looking to squeeze every penny out of you. Prices and rates have gone up and customer service down.
Cody, Service Technician presented himself well and by name, when entering the front door placed booties over his shoes. Cody was polite, respectful and very detailed in his work.
Shout out to Cody who came to service my A/C. So polite and considerate and explained everything thoroughly. I have always been very happy with Air Boca and their employees are always pleasant and competent!
My ac went down this weekend. Another company misdiagnosed the issue. I called Air Boca who I’ve used in the past. Their tech gave me the correct diagnosis and saved me $$$. Def will use them again.
Super shady. WATCH OUT. Crooks!! Called them out to check out a broken ac unit. The tech did not even look at the ac for 60 seconds. He comes in and states the entire unit is bad and that it needs to replaced. He came up with the story about how it burned out... (Keep in mind this ac is pretty new and still under warranty). He goes on lying saying the ac isn’t under warranty. He states regardless there’s nothing to do besides replace the entire unit. I assume he saw the home etc and assumed we would just waste the money by buying a ac unit we don’t need. Had two major ac companies look at it and both stated the unit is fine just has a small Freon leak from the coil which one explained it has a warranty for the parts. When I called the rep was very nice over the phone. She stated she understands not everybody would choose to replace it but regardless who would choose to replace an almost new ac that’s under warranty? The unit still has over 5 years of warranty and they tried to sell a new one. The techs are dishonest and are pressured to sell stuff customers don’t even need. They completely tried to scam us but I was not stupid enough to let them.
Amazing service. Called today and came the today. Tech kept me informed of what he was doing and what the issues were with my furnace. Woke up today and temp in house was 56F and now we are at 68F and climbing. Boca HVAC & AC Service LLCis now my new HVAC company. Thank you
Technician came out to investigate a water leak on my AC & quote me for a replacement. A few hours after they left, we noticed the AC had now entirely stopped functioning. I contacted Air Boca again and initially they committed to having a technician come out again immediately and see what had happened. I did not accuse them of anything, simply noted that it was very odd timing and probably just some minor mistake. Shortly after that call, someone else from Air Boca called me to say that the technician would no longer be coming immediately unless I paid them more money on top of the earlier service call that I had already paid for, or if I waited until the next morning. This is horrible service and shows that they care more about squeezing a buck out of their customers than doing right by them. We couldn't bring ourselves to giving them one more dime. They sent the same technician out again to me the next morning who didn't do much more than look at the AC unit, agree that it was no longer functional, insist that there was no way it was anything he did & that the entire AC needs to be replaced, and left. Later that morning, another HVAC company came out, actually made an effort, and found the cause of the malfunction within 5 minutes. Dead capacitor on compressor which also burned up some wiring. This second AC company also quoted me for a replacement which was 15% cheaper than Air Boca. In summary - poor value, not very capable/helpful technicians, and absolutely horrible customer service. There's a billion good HVAC companies in Florida - this ain't one of em. Just skip.
We have been using Air Boca since 2020 and have always been very pleased with their service. They fixed an bad installation from another AC company (who shall not be named), made reasonable recommendations on future things that were needed and did a really nice job overall. We had heard from some friends that they had less then a stellar experience so we were concerned about calling for our latest after hours emergency. We should not have worried. Yandis who had done all of the repairs in 2020 and 2021 returned the call within 15 minutes and was at the house 10 minutes later. We had done some troubleshooting of our own so we were able to point to the probable cause of the issue. He agreed with the initial assessment and got to work. In 45 minutes, all the work was completed. We renewed our maintenance agreement (at $249 for the year, very reasonable). Because we signed the maintenance agreement, the $125 after hours emergency fee was reduced to $81 plus the work that was done. Once again Air Boca saved the day and we know we can specifically request Yandis for our future work. Nice to know in this crazy South Florida world, there are companies that will do a good job.
I have been using Air Boca just over a year. Started out with an emergency service call which was handled within hours of my call and totally to my satisfaction. Just wrapped up my second preventative maintenance visit by their tech Cody. He is by far the most thorough, knowledgeable and capable tech I have seen in my eight years in South Florida. I look forward to seeing him again in six months. He is the kind of employee that helps build and maintain an excellent reputation which Air Boca is entitled to.
BIGGEST RIP OFF IN BCA RATON..Purchased an air conditioning system, and a Remy H air filtration system from them when it was still owned by the original company. Remy H system was under warranty at a cost of approximately $1000. System cease to work call Company and was told it would cost $95 to look at it $95 to get the new replacement and install. Agreed to these prices however they called me back and told me it would be $95 to look at it $95 to replace it and $250 to install it without the cell that was also supposed to be replaced.(AS TOLD BY THE MANUFACTURER) I strongly advise that you not deal with this company once very reliable, now, just another company that’s taking advantage and ripping customers off my word of advice stay away!!!!
I'm a hardened New Yorker, and always skeptical of vendors. I'm also inclined to get additional opinions. The issue involved an air conditioning unit in a Florida condo my family owns. I heard several opinions, all expensive and all allegedly requiring a new AC unit. Then I invited Air Boca in to get their point of view. They were highly professional, courteous, and knew what they were doing. The solution they came up with fixed the problem at a fraction of the cost everyone else quoted. I wholeheartedly recommend Air Boca without any hesitation. Use them.
Not sure about you, but it seems impossible to find quality service anymore… until now. We’ve owned our condo here in Boca Raton for about 18 years and have replaced just about everything at least once. I cringe every time I have to call a service company as it’s so hit or miss anymore, mostly miss. Our HVAC has been limping a long for the last year or so after having various substandard companies come out and do maintenance, I finally decided to shop around for a new unit. One of my calls was to Diane at Air Boca. We discussed our situation and she had her tech Yandis out that same afternoon to look at our needs and give us a quote on a new system. Yandis was very knowledgeable and was familiar with our community and other customers in our development. His quote was very reasonable, but turned out we needed to have some electrical work done to support the new unit. He said not to worry that they had a great electrician that could do the work for us. We signed the contract that night knowing that new AC units are hard to get these days. Diane was a huge help and did all the leg work to find us a new unit in a very short time and within a week or so, we were getting the electrical done and having the new unit installed. The installers and electrician came at the same time, they were all super nice, knowledgeable, and worked together to get our unit install in about four hours. Diane coordinated the permits and scheduled our inspections and everything passed. All in all this has been a great experience working with Air Boca and I am impressed with everyone I met with this company. Their quality of service and communication has been a breath of fresh (cold) air. Thank you Diane, Yandis, and team.
They replaced one of our conditioners and they were on time and I was more than pleased. On top of that, they vacuumed all the mess and made this “ older” lady very happy. Definitely would recommend Air Boca.
I had a very positive experience with Air Boca. They showed up at night to fix my air conditioner and got the job done when I was in an unpleasant situation. Albert was my technician and his service was top notch. Highly recommended.
It has been a pleasure having Air Boca perform all our AC repairs and replacements, in addition to a new Nest Thermostat! This organization has exhibited integrity of character founded upon the Golden Rule of Business whereby they treat their customers the way they would want to be treated! They have a magnificent team of technicians who exhibit superior experience and knowledge in every step of repairs and installations completed at our home. They are polite, courteous, in addition to being neat and clean with everything that was done in my home, they left everything immaculate. The technicians were totally engaged with the work they performed and we are more than happy with our AC after their repairs. In this day and age when it often seems that customer service has been devalued and discontinued by many AC businesses it is refreshing to know there is a phenomenal AC company like Air Boca who knows how to treat its customers! We highly recommend Air Boca to everyone who needs AC replacements and or repairs!
Very professional company. Every person is nice, responsive and professional. My tech, Yandis was excellent and I highly recommend Air Boca.
Responded quickly and performed work quickly. Unfortunately the warranty repair was expensive ($1k and $1.3k for freon) but worse was it didn't really work. AC unit didn't cool properly. Came back and said it was "too sunny and hot." This is FL and AC worked fine until compressor went. Asked me to wait and see if the system settled in. It didn't. Second visit adjusted blowers. Now have two hot rooms and other areas still inconsistent and AC running 22 of 24 hours per day. Final visit owner (Carlos) came out. Loud, rude and bossy claimed air handler was "too small" for the area to be cooled. If so why did you charge for repair if too small? Oh, because didn't know until it ran. But he claimed based on square footage which didn't change. Switched gears and said AC unit was too small. Wait, thought it was air handler. Now unit is too small. Well unit is fine and was good to spend the money. How? Still doesn't work. So points to manuals and tries to tell me to buy a whole new system for $10k+. Tells me need a big unit like the house next door - all without seeing the cooling setup. Did a repair, couldn't figure out why it didn't work and didn't care to.
Before calling Air Boca I called 2 other highly rated companies in the area. They both said it would cost $4,500 to fix my outside unit, and $9,500 to $10,000 to replace the whole system. When Air Boca came out they were much more knowledgeable and helpful and they replaced the whole system for just $5,800! They made a lot of promises and kept them all. I cannot recommend these guys more highly. Don't hire someone else until you have these guys come out and look at the job. You may save a LOT of money!
I can reccomend Air Boca with no hesitation. They are professional, competant and operate with courtesy from the front office to the techs that came to my house. I want to give a special shout out to Jandis and Yohan. They were the techs that came to my house. They explained everything to me and then did the work in short order.
Hi. Christopher came out on July 13. He was prompt, courteous, helpful, honest, & polite. It was also on my birthday. I had a good friend here from Delaware with her dog. Our air temperature upstairs was 86 degrees. Diane also helped me on 7/12 to get the appointment for someone to come out. Nothing like having company in your home & the air goes out in the summer. We need a new unit, but we thank Christopher & this company. Thank you. Mike & Debbie Troxell
