The technician, James, arrived early. Set about diagnosing my AC issue - it was apparent that he was try solve my problem as quickly and inexpensively as possible. Which he did - and he even took the time to show me how to monitor the system! Very professional and competent. Was first class at all times - Thanks James and Charlie's Tropic!
This is in reference to both the maintenance of my system as well as the service performed on my neighbors home at 1548 Grove Park Drive. James, the technician was early and did an exceptional job. The unit at the Grove Park address was not cooling and after was able to maintain a temperature while the temperature outside climbed into the high 90's. The price for the service was fair and the customer was made aware of everything prior to the service being performed on the unit. Well done.

Had our semi-annual HVAC maintenance today. Mr. Randy Bass was very thorough and gave us some hints and tips to keep our system performing well. I learned that you can spray your filter with Lysol once a month to cut down on allergens. Thanks so much for the great service. Would highly recommend this company if you are looking for a new system or repair.
This review is way overdue. I have used Charlie‘s Tropic Heating and Air for several years. I have never had anything but excellent service from this company and their employees. Having lived at the beach all my life it’s comforting to have such a great group to take care of my HVAC needs.
Today was 92° in Jax, technician Thomas was on-time, very polite, replaced capacitor. In & out in 15 min. Did not try & upcharge us. Very appreciative as we are on limited funds. Thank you so much. Will certainly be reccomending this fine company to friends & neighbors.

I have been a customer of Charlie's Tropic H&AC since he started his business. They have serviced all of my rental properties, personal residences and short-term rental homes always! Professional, always accessible and reasonably priced. I have always had the annual maintenance plan and they come every 6-months to service, clean and change the filter (if you ask for one). My unit is STILL running strong after over 10 years and yes.. I do have a salt air location! Try them .. you will be very satisfied.
My air handler needed replaced. The first unnamed company spent five minutes looking at both the air handler and outside AC unit and told me everything was bad and had to be replaced. I told the first company I was going to get a second company to look at it as my outside unit was only a couple of years old. So I called Charlie’s Tropic because I had heard good things about them. They came right out and spent some time checking everything. Was told I needed the air handler and just some routine maintenance on the outside unit. I was quoted a fair price and agreed to contract. While awaiting for my air handler to be shipped (at the time only two in state of FL), they sent Ronnie and Dylan out to get unit temporarily running until installation. The guys were so professional and sweet. I couldn’t be happier with the entire process and my 10 year warranty. I whole heartedly recommend this company.
Dylan, Michael and Josh did a great job with cleaning my duct work, provided good information after saving me replacing the ducts and worked well as a team. It was great to see. GREAT JOB!
Have been a client since they opened for business. They service our commercial building and my personal residence. I give them my highest recommendation for prompt service and value. They are family owned and have a marvelous and courteous staff. I have been a client for 20 plus years, need I say more?
Best experience ever they're there when you need them. We had four different technicians to the house they are on time and courteous we had a problem that took him a while to figure out they stayed until the job was done I would definitely recommend them to all my friends

Chris gave an accurate estimate of the time it would take, and selected the right equipment for my home that will do the job efficiently and within my budget. Ronnie and Dylan did exemplary work today at my rental home. They were courteous and professional at all times. I had an entire HVAC unit replaced that was 16 years old with a new system using the environmentally friendly puron refrigerant.
