Terrible service. This company was referred to me because they are supposed to be the experts on water furnace brand. The issue with my unit is very specific and not your run the mill issue and I've already paid >$300 to have other companies not fix it. I wanted to make sure that the person they were sending would be able to diagnose it properly. I think $150 an hour just to diagnose is a bit steep with no guarantee that they would send the right person. So when I shared my concern I was told by the office personnel that they would get back to me after talking to the owner. They did not get back to me- instead I had to chase them down and now are refusing to look at it. I guess they don't need good paying customers.

Guy and his techs know their stuff, but they pull some shady stuff. We used them for both our a geothermal HVAC system in our new home, as well as service. With our new construction, we paid over $105K for a system with geothermal, dedicated ventilation systems and on-demand hot water with names such as Water Furnace, Venmar EKO and Noritz. No expense was spared with this company. Apparently, Guy slipped in an upgrade allowance for Reggio vent grills, that we didn't realize had an "expiration date." When we asked to use the upgrade allowance once we settled in and decorated our new home, he said it was too late. Nothing verbally or written mentioned any of this, so we thought it was kind of unethical, especially considering the amount we paid. Other questionable practices occurred with service. Several parts had to be replaced in the first year and two, in the equipment that Guy chose for us, due to defects. Despite having a two-year workmanship warranty, the labor, and any non-covered parts were on us since it's not A&B's fault. Ok, technically. He's right, but it's poor customer service. The shady stuff, is that his tech came out for 30min to replace the part and charged out for 2-1/2 hours. Now, I get travel expenses, but where did he come from....Vermont? I actually received a text asking him to open the gate as well as cameras showing arrival and departure times to verify it was slightly under 30min on location. I emailed these and called Guy to discuss before I paid the invoice, and not even the courtesy of a return call to comment. Shady business and poor service, and that's after paying him over 100 thousand dollars. It's disappointing to say the least.

My geothermal heat pump system was installed by a company who couldn't service it. I had a couple problems with the installation causing excessive water usage and leaks. Guy and crew were to my rescue almost immediately. I can't say enough about their knowledge of geothermal heat pump systems and their servicing of, and caring for, customers. I highly recommend AB Cooling, Heating, Geothermal. AB is a professional organization.

I called twice to get an estimate for geothermal installation, and they were supposed to call back to set up an appt date. They never called back... I am assuming they don't need or want to do business.

We decided switch to geothermal our new house in New Milford, CT. As it pritty expencive project so I spend two long months looking for trustable company for this job. I was lucky to find A&B during this process. After few conversations with Guy I was impressed with his professionalism that help me finailise system design. A&B team designed and built the new ducting for full house and installed top of the art geothermal variable heat pump system and propane domestic water heater. The finished system is absolutly amazing - it is 10 times more efficient. It is easy for me to compare as we have two properties one with geothermal and one with standard HVAC. A&B is fantastic company and I would recommend them to anyone.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I have my attorney taking legal action...we cannot get support on the $42,000 water furnace we purchased and installed in our new home. In 2007 I purchased a brand new $42,000.00 water furnace from Guy at A&B cooling and heating and it has been an ABSOLUTE nightmare since day one. Guy literally was casting racial slurs at my contractors building my new home and repeatedly started fights with the contractors onsite!!! Now he refuses to work on the system and after calling the other authorized water furnace dealer listed on there website they told me “we are too busy to take new clients” , I am at the end of my rope with this system….I need the system fixed winter is upon us and I can’t get it serviced!!! Thank god for reputable companies in the area that can pick up the pieces left behind from butchers like this company!!! the specialists that reviewed and diagnosed the system also told me it is "TOO SMALL" for my house!!!! if you can afford a $42,000.00 mistake on your mortgage for your new home, then use these guys!!! if not RUN!!!!

I have had one of the worst experiences with this company. I bought a beautiful house in Ellington CT just 2-3 months ago (mid may 2016) The house was built 2009 and has central air system installed by AB cooling. we haven't used the AC at all because just two week after we had bought this house we went on vacation traveling outside the country and didn't return until august 21st. Tried turing on the AC but wouldn't work in the second floor. So i called the company and no one responded so i left a voice mail, waited two days no one had called me so i call again and a young girl from her voice had answered and told me the office is closed and she will give them the message the next day so i waited and i called the day after that no one answered and no one called back by that point then a day later an older female called me and told me to change the AC filters and i did but AC still won't work so i called same day just a couple hours later and the same female answered and told me they were 4 weeks out and to look for someone else. i said okay no problem i call another company and they come to take a look at the system and they have no idea whats going on and couldn't figure it out and suggested we call the company that installed the system so i go back and call that same older lady answers and i tell her what had happened and i said "this is very frustrating i have called so many times i don't understand why you won't just give me an appointment i don't care how long from now it is or how much it costs i just want the problem fixed i have young children in the household who wake up sweating give me whatever you have as soon as possible" then she says "you are yelling at me" i said "im not yelling at all i just want someone to help me out get this done and over with" she started yelling at me and i just said "can you please just give me your manger or boss or owner or whoever is in charge" she continues saying "no. no one is here" so i asked "can i have someones phone

I hired A&B to install a retrofit geothermal heat pump system. This included duct work for 1st and 2nd floor, plumbing for the heatpump and a new water heater, and the vertical bore ground loop. This was a massive project and investment for me, so i thoroughly vetted several vendors before choosing A&B. I chose A&B because i was very impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism throughout the quoting process. Surprisingly, they also had the lowest price as well. Another thing i liked a lot about A&B is that their core business is geothermal - even their office is heated and cooled by geothermal. The first piece of this big puzzle was to remove my old oil-boiler. A&B arranged to install the new (hybrid electric) water heater first so we would still have hot water throughout the demolition and subsequent installation work. Their plumbing guys were great, and really made it easy for me to work around the temporary installation while pulling out the old baseboard heater water pipes. I worked closely with the owner (Guy) and foreman (Phil) when planning for the placement of the new ducting. At first, I was concerned that the new ductwork would interfere with head space in the basement or that the runs to the second floor would be unsightly or inconvenient...but thanks to their expert planning and execution, the end result was everything i could have hoped for: a very satisfying basement and ALL of the 2nd floor supply/return ducting was kept inside my newly vacated chimney chase. They also did a great job with supply and return grill placement, including several that were inconvenient to install, but just slightly nicer for me, which i really appreciated. I took a few days off of work during the main installation days to see how this would all come together, and was impressed to see how thorough they were with sealing the joints (butyl tape). All of the basement and attic ducting was also very thoroughly insulated. A&B subcontracted the ground loop (trenc
