Hellas takes care of our Wilton property ‘s HVAC outdoor and indoor unit. Great, responsive customer service.
My wife and I have made Norwalk are home 42 years ago. Have been in business for 30 years. U.S. plumbing heating air conditioning, its good seeing that we have not lost great workmanship. Cold weather they came out same day, got us running came back week later with the part we needed.
Showed up on time (after calling me to move the appt up sooner than anticipated), and the tech John was very thorough and explained everything well. Serviced furnace and steam humidifier.
Great diagnostics, quick ordering of necessary parts. Really nice, polite service.
I called Hellas last weekend when I realized my AC wasn't working on the hottest weekend of the year thus far. It was a Sunday and considering it was the first hot weekend and a weekend, I thought the response time was reasonable. It took about 4 hours from the time I called to someone actually arriving at the house. The guy who came was terrific, clear and seemingly honest about the issue and what we should do. Fast forward a week and the same issue has surfaced. I called again for weekend help with another 90 degree day in the forecast and as of this post it has been 6 hours with still no response. I called 3 times during this 6 hours. The answering service is lovely but they aren't employees and so their ability to escalate is presumably limited. When a company talks on their website about customer service, responsiveness, and 24/7 help I don't expect a delay like this. Not even a call to say "hey, message received and we are backed up but you're number X in the queue." Nothing. And for a repeat issue that I paid significant money to address (weekend/overtime rates plus cost to repair).

I had a company come out to service our AC units on 3 separate occasions and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Hellas came out next day and was able to diagnose and fix the issue within 45 minutes. Great service and they know what they’re doing!

Really a great experience. They are very busy but they were responsive. They were also very upfront and descriptive about the charges. They called back to check in abs confirm the appointment. The tech was on time and made a point to let us know he was on the way. He even took his shoes off without asking. This was very much appreciated. He was honest and professional. He also told us what kind of filter we need to told us we do not to worry about cleaning the HVAC. Some companies would try and scare you into doing extra work. We feel they are very honest and trustworthy. We would highly recommend this business for your HVAC needs in Fairfield County.

Overpriced, and short term solution, had to replace the whole system after the expensive and temporary fix. Had a refrigerant leak in the AC condenser, paid almost $2,000 to fill the freon. It worked less than 1 months. Now the refrigerant (R22) is empty and I have to replace the whole condenser. if i knew this would happen, I would not pay the initial temporary fix and replace the machine instead. For the record, they charge me the R22 freon $175/lbs, later we check the price with another contractor and they charge $125 /lbs (30% lower).
Update 6:17:21pre-paid my HVAC maintenance, today the Hellas tech cleaned my central air outdoor fan. Hosed it down. Added bonus. Somehow they get better and better. Thanks Hellas! Update 10/2020: why wouldn’t I call Hellas to service the HVAC system at my new condo? They’re the best. Prompt, on the ball, VERY Covid-conscientious. And reasonable cost. They even dispose of the old air filter. Very pleased! Called Hellas after 5 for emergency “furnace not working” situation. Not good in February! They sent one of their best guys over very promptly. Furnace fixed in 5 minutes flat. Lucky for me in several ways: service was prompt and knowledgeable, cost very reasonable, fix was made on the spot. And I’m happy to support a family run local business. Their customer care is felt from start to finish. Glad to have them in my corner.
