Fixed a copper pipe leak, we had a hard time getting someone to take the job because it wasn't a major job. Link Mechanical Serviceds fixed it for a decent price. Thank you.

This is a follow up of my review left 4 weeks ago. I contacted Link again as the owner suggested. They knew who I was. Yet this company refuses to address the issue, communicate professionally, and back their work. If you're in the market for a new AC system, Heat Pump, or any other HVAC service avoid this company like you avoided getting COVID-19 back in 2020! My unit was installed in August-September, the quality and performance issues started right after. I waited this long to leave this review because I wanted to give the company time to do better. I know staffing issues and disruption to supply chain after COVID has affected everyone. However, these are not the reasons why this company is so bad.

Had a heat pump installed by this company and I wished I had gone with a reputable company. Initially, the electrical work was done incorrectly, which caused the system to fail multiple times. They replaced my thermostat with a poor quality, failure ridden replacement (Tekmar) which cause me to spend ours troubleshooting with customer service reps. When you call for service you have to wait weeks with no communication from central office whether someone is coming or not and management is MIA! They do not respond to customer concerns or questions. The only movement was within the first 30 days of installation which must have something to do with CT lemon laws. I will be contacting the state's consumer protection agency to see what remedies I have to address a system that now I don't know if it was even installed correctly. If you are a home owner looking to have a heat pump installed stay clear of this company. *Response: Had you returned my calls or came to cared about my concerns you would now who I am. I am still waiting for someone to respond to my issue. I am a Link customer. Called a almost 2 weeks ago. Told I would hear from someone last week. I'm still waiting. And by the way, this is nothing new. This is Link business as usual. If you don't have the staffing say so, I would understand. But don't leave a customer that dropped $17K+ on a system hanging without any response to his questions or issues.

Update: Last week I went to the basement only to find out hot water heater was leaking and a large puddle of water was expanding across the basement. I immediately called Link. The very same day they came out and installed a new hot water tank. This time I opted for an automatic shutoff valve that will close the inlet to the tank in case it senses a leak. Once again the team at Link Mechanical did a great job!!! I really appreciate the prompt service, the fair price, and the attention to details with the installation. Thank You Link Mechanical!! We are very pleased with the service from Link Mechanical. Link installed a new, high efficiency HVAC system. The installation team was very professional and were happy to answer our questions during the installation. The system is amazing and has cut our AC bill in half from the same time last year. We have a maintenance contract set up with Link. The price is very reasonable and we have piece of mind that the Team at Link Mechanical will be here to help in an emergency, and also keep our systems functioning properly and safely. I highly recommend Link Mechanical and will continue to call on them for future upgrades.

Called these folks 6 months after somebody else 'fixed' my boiler. Apparently it wasn't worth fixing at that time. Link was out in a day to have a look. They did a nice job replacing the boiler with something a lot better. Work was done promptly and they went the extra mile to make the install work in my spooky 1850 basement.

My air conditioning system picked the absolute worst time to break down but I will say that I am super pleased with my service with Link Mechanical. The entire process, from quoting through installation, was a seamless one. The entire staff was a pleasure to work with. Henry set up a prompt appointment, registered my equipment and timely answered all of my questions. Maryjane was nothing short of amazing. I never once felt like she tried to oversell. She in fact advised me on what I needed and what I could wait to get later. I received 3 quotes and Link was in the middle. Although it wasn't the cheaper quote, I felt comfortable moving forward with them even if it was a little more than my lowest quote. The owner was able to get installers to my house on short notice and they were able to replace my ac and hot water tank in the same day. My installers, Chris and Rich, were professional and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for HVAC repairs, maintenance or replacement. Very satisfied customer! Many other companies wouldn't even Look at my system- Derek provided quick service, and even cleaned my vents for me! This will be the only company I call for future needs. Also, very affordable!

Chris and his team are amazing! They quickly responded to our needs. They gave us many options and worked with us to understand what we were looking for. We have an 18th century house and they creative with installing central air. His team was professional, respectful, and the cleanup was impeccable. I would definitely recommend Lync mechanical and would hire them anytime for my heating and cooling needs.

Maryjane came to provide a quote for a central AC unit. She spent about 90 minutes, the most comprehensive review of any of the other vendors that quoted. I was so impressed with her patience, knowledge, and honesty. She said she would also manage the project which I found later to be very important as well. Not recommended for large and complex jobs. Link acts as if it's not worth their time nor within their expertise. We used Link for over 10 years at both our previous home and a new home that required a lot of mechanical updates. Link quoted us for a large HVAC job after touring the site with their manager and the owner. We signed a contract and worked with them to obtain a loan and gave them a 50% deposit. After multiple visits on their end and months after signing the contract, they realized they forgot to include the costs for an electrician and informed us that we can either cancel the contract or pay for the additional cost that they estimate would cost in the thousands. Link readily admitted that they made a mistake and the error was on their end. They would not place a cap on what the electrical work could cost us. We attempted to speak to the owner multiple times. Left messages and asked the manager to have the owner call us to discuss. No response. We received notification that they canceled the contract without our acceptance. From start to end, we lost over 3 months where we could have worked with another vendor. While they attempted to pacify our inconvenience for the interest that we incurred on taking out a loan and the hit we took to our credit rating, our experience working with Link was terrible. This was unexpected and disappointing especially since we were part of their Comfort Club. Shame.

Robert came to our rescue on a 95 degree day to assist getting our central air up and running. He was thorough, provided guidance and recommendations on parts, friendly and wore shoe liners which was thoughtful. My AC is back up and running and works even better than before. I will call Link for any HVAC needs in the future. Total came to about $400 with a $20 tip. Well worth the money.

I had an extremely positive experience with Link Mechanical. Every staff member I interacted with was so lovely, they were so responsive (even communicating with me over a holiday weekend even though the work wasn't remotely emergent), and made my project a priority even during their busy season. They even got my permission to replace a part but then didn't do it because they determined that it wasn't necessary!

If anyone is looking for great service with reasonable pricing and competent technician, look no further. Link Mechanical is your answer. In February of 2021, our old furnace broke down and we had no heat . We called couple of services. Link Mechanical Service was the only one that rescued us. . Mike was the technician that inspected and repaired our furnace. He was very knowledge and a pleasure to deal with.

I purchased a new Mitsubishi Hyperheat Ductless Heat Pump system from Link and they installed it in October of 2021. This was the second heat pump they installed for me and I was happy with the many years of service I had with the original and happy with the install of the new system that upgraded the old. In late November, I experienced a major power surge and the entire heat pump system was affected. It took Link 90 days to completely restore the system to original working order. I was lucky to still have oil heat to stay warm with. In the end it was over $9,000.00 worth of damage. The parts were not readily available and it took weeks sometimes to keep moving forward on the repair. My take on this experience is that they were not entirely sure what was wrong and could not resolve it faster. I lost confidence in their ability to service and support what they sold. To be without such an expensive system for 90 days - the bulk of the heating season - was unacceptable. My caution to anyone buying a heat pump system. 1. Be sure you have a whole house surge suppressor. 2. The mitsubishi systems are efficient but complex, and obviously at high risk of cascading failure. Unlike other appliances, the risk of damage to these systems is much higher and more expensive. Link does not stock even basic parts and this will delay getting repairs done if anything happens to your system. 3. Keep your old heating system as a backup - they are simple and polluting, but they are tried and true. 4. Maybe there is a better heat pump contractor out there that would service what they sell and support faster than 90 days. Honestly thought they would have made this more of a priority for a repeat customer with a new system that was out of service.

He was a pleasure to work with, he explained his evaluation and reasoning, and if necessary, would have provided recommendations. Link mechanical did an excellent job on the installation of my ductless system. Vic and his team were very organized and efficient with the work. Attention to detail and being very safety conscious in regard to the current virus situation. Henry at the planning dept was very helpful with coordinating the project. I’m not a very tech savvy person so he helped me along the way keeping things in order. Joanne set up the scheduling and was really helpful, polite and professional during our contact. Overall, I am very pleased with the whole experience and will def recommend Link to anyone who is interested in upgrading their systems. Thanks again. Everyone stay well and be safe. I helped a family member purchase a furnace. Everyone we dealt with at Link Mechanical was professional, caring and helpful. Maryjane was very thorough in explaining the furnace options available. Henri helped with all the paperwork to get a loan approved and Jane made sure the installation occurred on a timely basis. This is a very well run company!
