I’ve been using A-1 for 20 YEARS for ALL my heating and AC needs. They are the BEST! Excellent service in EVERY aspect! Most recently our consultant Kirk Schlichting went above and beyond to provide options to meet our needs and help us determine our best option. We were very pleased! We will continue to use ONLY A-1 for our heating and AC needs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 5 stars!
My air conditioner stopped working, and the first company I called came out and told me there was no way to fix it, and I would have to get a new system. I decided to get a second opinion first, so I called A-1 guaranteed. They came out, and it turns out it was just a part that needed changing. Everything has been working great since. The technician Joe was nice and clean, and explain to me everything that was going on. Turns out it was just a flux capacitor or something. I was glad to find an honest company that wasn’t just trying to rip me off.

Excellent experience. We replaced two gas furnaces and air conditioners with a two new heat pump systems. Our salesperson Kirk Schlicting visited the home and did a thorough walkthrough and inspection. He followed up with a proposal on the same day. Cost was reasonable and in line with three other bidders. Kirk was very responsive throughout the decision process answering my many questions about the technology, rebates and federal credits. Installation occurred over three days and was problem free. Roger and his team of four, backed up by foreman Casey Kinnard, were very competent and efficient. They left the house clean each day and even brought my trash cans to the curb for me! We're enjoying our new system and would recommend A-1 Guaranteed to anyone interested in replacing their HVAC with the state-of-the-art technology.
I met with Kirk Schlichting, Sales Manager, to discuss ways to upgrade our AC system. We decided on a plan and moved forward. Easy and smooth. The installers came in and went to work, answered questions, cleaned up and showed us how to use the new system. From the beginning to the end, professional, competent, helpful. You never know until it is done, but we clearly made the right choice by using A-1 Guaranteed. Absolute recommendation.
Shout out to Brian who performed my winter maintenance. Brian called before arriving, arrived when he said he would, and completed the work promptly. Brian even changed out a light bulb under the house for me. In addition, Brian shared some info on iWave, an air filtration system that I am considering. A-I is a great company, very professional, their technicians are very knowledgeable , and I highly recommend this company.
I work for another local HVAC company and I was called out to do a furnace tuneup on a system that A-1 had installed years prior. The install was by far the best I’ve seen from another company in the area. There are a lot of companies in the area but few good companies. Wanted to give them a shoutout for the great work.
I have been in the trades both selling and providing services for the past 17 years. When we decided to have AC installed and our furnaces removed and replaced I thought it would be relatively easy. The estimates proved to be frustrating. We were going to go with our first quote but they stalled us and then requoted and told us the rebates they quoted were no longer available. Not quite sure why they thought they would get my business. I had four subsequent quotes and I just never really felt good about any of the quotes or who was providing them. Kirk from A-1 changed all that. The difference? He listened and provided an economical solution where everybody was happy. The crew arrived at 8 this morning and left a little after 2. They left the place cleaner than when they arrived and a heck of a lot warmer. I cannot say enough about the professionalism, service and efficiency of everyone from sales, administration and installation. I wish I had found A-1 before the September heatwave. Don't waste your time with anyone else. Just call A-1.
I am a loyal 19 year customer of A-1. They installed my original heating and air system and have maintained it ever since. I joined Kasey's Klub a few years ago which means they inspect heating systems in the Fall and air in the Spring. This has been an invaluable asset. A-1 has also taken out my 40 yr old insulation from the attic and replaced it with new. Quite the job and they were very good about draping house so dust did not get anywhere else. Currently, Brian just replaced our 19 year old thermostat. He is professional, knowledgeable, reliable and was also in charge of the attic insulation job of the past. He always comes in the house with foot covers on. I can highly recommend A-1 and their services.
For many years now, I have been using A-1 Guaranteed Heating and Air to service my HVAC home system. The staff at A-1 have always treated me with great care. Their service technicians always call before arriving at my house and arrive on time. I hear them vacuuming my furnace from top to bottom and performing diagnostic tests. I trust them to tune my system so my utilities remain low. They seem to carry a good stock of parts. When they are done with my service work, the area around my furnace is always cleaned up. All their work that was done is explained to me. I highly recommend this local company to do a great job
We have been dealing with A-1 Guaranteed for the past several years and couldn't be happier! They installed a brand new A/C unit and furnace a few years back, and the total system has worked flawlessly since day one. We are also a proud member of Kasey's Klub where they come every 6 months to tune up the system, replace our filter and do system diagnostics. Brian, our regular technician, is a joy to work with. He is friendly, polite, knowledgable, and very experienced with all the products that A-1 Guaranteed sell, service and install. For instance, when Brian came in March, he told us of a wonderful product that they were recommending, the i-Wave air purifier. It increases the filtration efficiency of the HVAC system and kills viruses (including some COVID strains) and germs in the air. He offered to install it during that visit and even gave us a substantial discount over their regular price! Long story short, he had the device up and running in 30 minutes and it has worked perfectly since. The proof is in the filter which captured way more dust and debris than before the i-Wave was installed. Thanks again, Brian, and A-1 Guaranteed. Additionally, props to Joe @ A-1 who also has provided excellent service, specifically when assisting us in setting up our new HVAC system and selecting the right equipment for our home. We truly appreciate the exceptional service and overall customer experience that the owner of this company and all of its workers have provided to us over the years.

A-1 installed a heat pump and a heat pump water heater in 1 day in my 1920's Berkeley, CA house even though they had scheduled the work for 2 days. They arrived on time with 3 men in 3 vans. They were an experienced crew and just knocked the work out. I'm a retired California building contractor (CA license #564114 expired, Phelps Construction Company) so I did some minor preliminary work before A-1 arrived to help them out. Matt the estimator was responsive and really worked with me. I'm very satisfied with their work so far even though we have not needed the heat pump yet. A-1 was the cheapest of the reputable contractors I contacted. A-1 beat Hassler who had the next lowest bid by over $5000. I don't see anything listed in the Hassler contract that was worth an extra $5K. A-1 got the bid to me in 1 day. Hassler took 19 days!
My heating and air cond. were installed 17 years ago, and has been serviced by A-1. This company is absolutely the best at everything. Their service is excellent, the technicians are polite and are thorough in explaining what was done. I think a company like this is amazing in every aspect of its business.
Fantastic service. The front office folks were very professional and courteous in helping schedule/reschedule the service visit. The technician showed up early (wow). He quickly located the source of the problem and fixed it at a very reasonable cost. Working with the whole A-q team was a very pleasant experience. They will be my first call if I need future AC/Heating service or upgrades. Thank you A-1!
All around great company. Helpful staff, professional crew, and they show they care about their customers and the community. We had them replace our HVAC with a new, energy efficient system and are very happy with the work done. Highly recommend.
Our central air stopped working and A1 sent Briant out the next day to fix it. He is a very nice man and he diagnosed the problem. He had the part with him to fix it. We are so glad we chose A1 to install our furnace and air conditioning. It was several years ago but was still under warranty so no charge. Thank you A1. You guys are great!
We had been using A-1 for our home HVAC maintenance, and a crack was found in the furnace. Rather than jeopardize a carbon monoxide emission we decided to replace our old furnace and AC. We got three estimates and A-1 provided the best value. It was a one day installation that went smoothly. We are very happy with the results.
I have been a customer for approximately 16 years. Everyone I dealt with at A-1 Guaranteed Heating & Air Company is very courteous. Brian came right on time, found the problem, fixed it and was on his way. They worked with me and my budget. They are a very honest company. I'm nice and cool again. Yay!!
A-1, Inc. is great . They are local located in Vallejo . Brian and Alex identified and fix the problem immediately . They were super courteous and super articulately answered all my questions with great explanations . They identified my repair as a blown capacitor and they had the part in their great looking modern truck / van and replaced it . They also made recommendations of when I will need to replace an AC Unit that is 17 years old . Figure maybe another 2 years . I would highly recommend to use A-1 to service your AC. Thanks A-1!
