My air conditioner broke down over the weekend during this heat wave. I called GW Richardson on Saturday. Kathy and Cassie called me back immediately to try to troubleshoot. A technician(Will) arrived at 7am Monday(today). Will fixed the problem. This company is amazing!
HIGHLY recommend this company. I got very lucky; I googled for air conditioning repair. Prompt, knowledgeable, professional, honest….. the only company I’ll ever use from now on. A company that cares about the service they provide and the customer being informed and satisfied.
From my call into the office to schedule the appointment to the actual fixing of the air conditioner was effortless, efficient, quick and friendly. The 2 technicians who showed up were great! Very knowledgeable , explained problem thoroughly, very professional and on time. I will use them again and highly recommend. They are family owned, fair, and honest.

Great service. Prompt. Professional. Great company that I’ve been using for years.
I can’t say enough great things about GW Richardson. All of the techs are extremely kind and thorough. They always help me out with any issues I may be having and are always prompt and on time. Very fair prices.
I had GW Richardson come out when my heater was out. They were on time, explained everything and fixed the problem. The heater is working great now.
I recently had the pleasure of working with GW Richardson Heating and Air to service my home's air conditioning system, and I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of their work. From start to finish, they demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and exceptional customer service that exceeded my expectations. First, I was impressed with how easy it was to schedule an appointment. Cassie the kind woman whom i spoke with on the phone was friendly and able to find a time that worked with our busy schedule. When the technician arrived at my home, he was courteous and respectful, wearing shoe covers to protect my floors and taking the time to explain everything he was doing. He demonstrated a deep understanding of air conditioning systems and was able to quickly diagnose and fix the issue with my unit. He even took the time to clean the unit and make sure everything was running smoothly before he left. I was also impressed with the pricing. Their rates were competitive, and there were no hidden fees or surprises. Overall, I would highly recommend GW Richardson Heating and Air to anyone in need of air conditioning/heating services. They are a top-notch company with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Thank you, again for your outstanding work!
Great service! We have been with them for many years.
I'm a long time customer. I've used this company to service my last three houses. I won't be calling them back. I was just charged $300 for a 20 minute visit and a 30 dollar part. Apparently it's $900/hr for labor. I asked for a quote over the phone but was told that wasn't possible and the technician would give me one. The work was done before I heard the price. When I called back to complain about getting gouged I was asked which part was replaced. "The capacitor." "Oh, the capacitor? Yeah, that's $300." They knew what it would cost but didn't tell me until after. If I had known switching some wires would cost $270 I would've taken care of it myself.
I'm new to the area and needed service on my air conditioning unit. They came in, got it running because of a burnt out fuse. 2 months later, I was experiencing the same problem but this time, they replaced the board and I bought a new thermostat that they installed. Now it's 2 months later, and I'm having the same issue. I gave them 2 chances because I believe in building relationships but it's time to move on. I own properties in other states and the company I use there, evaluates the job and fixes the problem. I honestly believe, through their actions and words during our conversations, that they only put a bandaid but don't actually fix my issues. I've spent about $1,500 with them over the past 6 months! Time to move on. Money isn't an issue with me, I just want good service!
Beware of Unscupulous business practice from this company just to charge unreasonable fee for for parts and labor. An example: $185/each for a belt of an evaporative cooler. They changed two of these. On top of this material charge, they also charged another line item for driving and labor time—$395 claimed three visits when in fact the name of technician listed on the Invoice came only twice with logged time of 52 mins and 59 mins per their office record. Per store prices, belt is not more than $9/each. Total Quoted price of $720 was a lot lesser than the actual invoice price of $1,720. Yes, after 2nd visit, they found another broken part but no way close to $1000 additional charge on top of quoted price. So, to justify the exact $1K price increase, they have to charged $370 for two pieces of rubber belt. Yes, they agreed to waive $420 after serious argument. They use threatening tactics when argued for their charges. Owner refused to return call. To me, every business owner should not be afraid to face or talk to every customer if they are honest and confident on what they are doing. Another worse thing, technician was claiming or making up stories that he talked to a woman about the price which is I am the only woman in our household/business and I never met nor talked to that particular technician. Operations manager stated one significant part was fine and was not replaced. Few minutes later, he emailed an Invoice with that part included in the invoice. Another reason that I concluded that they are not competent with what they are doing.
I called and scheduled an appointment. They said the technician would arrive from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. I waited and no arrival and no phone call. At 2:20 I stepped out of my house for an errand when I received a call from the technician letting me know he had arrived. I said I would turn around and be there in 20 minutes. He said he would check with his office. I received a call from the office telling me that they could no wait for 20 minutes as they have many appointments lined up. The could however, send another technician that same day but now it would cost me over time each hour. Really? I should pay overtime because they did not show up in time. No thank you!
