I cannot say enough great things about this company, except that they are an excellent business! From the initial call to schedule a free in-home estimate, to the ease of payment, everything about the sale and installation of our new furnace and thermostat from Affordable was pleasant, thorough and worry free. Theirs was the best of 4 estimates (3 for the same exact furnace and services). Every member of their team was pleasant, knowledgeable, and skilled. The installation was meticulously done with spotless cleanup. Without reservation I recommend this team, and in the future will be using them exclusively for any projects they cover.
Charlie and his team are very reliable and show up when they say they will. I love working with them, they are professional and the smartest guys out there.
We are a management company and use Affordable for all of our HVAC needs on our properties. They do a wonderful job and Marissa in their office is amazing. Highly recommend this company!!
heat pump installation
*EDIT after response from company: Your response is filled with lies. Firstly you did not come back to my house the next day. We have cameras all over our property, so this did not happen. Why would you come to a customers house without their knowledge? Why would you not call the customer to confirm if they were even home? I was told by your receptionist that you do not typically come out to where we live because it is so far (14.5 miles), so why would you come back out that far without scheduling something? Second, I did not "refuse" the appointments offered to me. I could not take time off work to accommodate the time YOU wanted to come out to fix the problem YOU caused. When I asked for a 3:00pm appointment your receptionist told me no because that would make your guys get back to the shop too late. I was told THREE times by your receptionist that I would hear back from you, the owner. I did not ever once receive any communication from you until I wrote this review. I would never use your company again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. When I initially called they were eager to help. Our heater was not working, would shut off and not turn back on, so they sent someone out. He concluded that the reason it does not work is because we changed the face plate of the heater (we had swapped it for a smart thermostat). He swapped out the faceplate to a much simpler one and charged us $90 for it plus the other fees. Well, it did not fix anything. I have now called five times in hopes to get a phone call back (this started back in October). I have spoken to the receptionist and told her what happened TWICE and she said she would talk to her manager and get back to me. She has not once attempted to call me back. I have left messages the other three times. Its very unfortunate that they did not even respect a paying customer enough to return a phone call. I would not recommend using their services.
When I wanted to install a heat pump in my home I contacted several local companies for quotes. Affordable Heating & Air offered me the most competitive quote. I was happy with the installation process and communication as well as the support I received after the unit was in place. I highly recommend this business.
Had bad rodent damage. Charlie was able to find some difficult parts for this order heater. Communicated well and showed up as promised. Heater is working again. Very satisfied.

Technician repaired a 100 year old system.
Dale knew what he was doing. He also gave me a "snow job"! He said how he saved me $$. After working thirty minutes and replaced an inexpensive part charged $289.00 for thirty minutes work. Needless to say they are not "affordable"!

Affordable installed our Bryant mini split system. Very competitive pricing. Professional and quality installation. I highly recommend them for Santa Cruz residents wanting to support a local contractor who installs American made products.

Quoted us about 50% less than other competition. Installed Bryant ductless heating and air in our home quickly and expertly. Made the process incredibly simple and unintrusive. Tested the system and walked us through how to use it. Haven't had a single issue. If you need heating/air services in Santa Cruz County, it's a no brainer to go with these guys.

Prior to the job (removal and replacement of all heating ducts under our house on the upper Westside of Santa Cruz), Charlie was clear, trustworthy, explained everything over the phone, and quoted all costs in writing. The team showed up at the date and time expected, They were friendly, wearing masks and uniforms, and got the job done in under 2 days with no hassles or disruptions, and cleaned up spotless. So glad we went with Affordable Heating. Highly recommended.
