Brad was amazing. He came right over the same day. We had an issue with our blower for our heater and air conditioner, he diagnosed the problem quickly (it needed a new starter) and fixed it all in the same day. He was professional, kind, and very reasonable in pricing. Highly recommend him and home furnace.
In a 100 year old house, there are always issues. Having Home Furnace in the rolodex gives us peace of mind. Brad knows HVAC inside and out. He diagnoses issues quickly and comes up with the most cost effective solutions possible. High value and very professional.
Our furnace failed at the worst possible moment in an assisted living situation. Home Furnace Company was there within hours. Great service, fair price, we have used them for years and we'll continue to do so.
We had a great experience with Brad and the install team from Home Furnace. They were able to squeeze us in at the end of the December. While rain created some challenges for them, they were able to install our new mini-split system so that we could enjoy the heat during a cold period in Santa Barbara. We are looking forward to seeing how the AC performs...once the heat returns in the summer!

Received an email from HFC: Home Furnace Company is a small, 3rd generation family business opened in 1963. Again, we believe your review is slander against our company. If your review is not off Google in the next 3 business days, we will have no choice but to seek legal counsel. Sincerely, The Home Furnace team I do not have time to deal with this company, nor want them back in my home. Guess they do not like the truth about their service.
The service was excellent , fast friendly and didn’t try to push any extra work that was unnecessary . I recommend this company to everybody .
Had some issues with my household AC. Everyone in the area was backed up, but this company was able to get me in the following day, which is a huge plus as we have dogs that don’t do well in the heat. Everyone from the receptionist to the owner himself was nothing but courteous, informative and made sure the job was done. Pricing was solid too, so I will be using this company moving forward for all my AC/heater maintenance/repairs.
We chose Home Furnace and Air Conditioning of Santa Barbara to replace our original 1970’s heater with a new central furnace and air conditioning system for essentially two reasons: they are local and been in business here for many years and their bid was very competitive. We haven’t regretted our decision. Their work was fast, efficient, neat, and thorough. They delivered on their promise and when we encountered a bump in the permitting process, they worked with us to a satisfactory conclusion. The bump, so to speak, was not in any way related to the installation of the system. We highly recommend Home for heating and air conditioning installation and service.

Great family business, competitive price, good service, responsive clean friendly, they made it easy. Installed new furnace in a rental unit and AC for my home. Easy recommendation and would absolutely use them again!
These guys are terrific. I was boiling with an AC not working, they came out within a couple hours, figured out that the AC had no freon and the filter was completely clogged. Both problems were fixed immediately. They didn't try to do a huge service, just told me if the air stops being cool, they would come out and check for leaks. The business office was also wonderful to work with, they got me new filters, the bill and my receipt!
Word-of-mouth lead me to the Home furnace and air conditioning company. I needed assistance with a broken furnace. When I reached Brad the owner, He was very friendly, respectful and knowledgeable about my issues. He made sure that I was understanding and was following alone with what he was advising. Brad was able to comprehend, diagnose and resolved the problem with my furnace before night fall. My family and I are very grateful for his above and beyond service. I had all new ducting and a new furnace installed at my house. Amazing how much faster and better the home heats up now. The installers were very courteous, clean and prompt. Brad the owner followed up several times to make sure all was in order. I would certainly use Home Furnace again and will recommend them to friends.
Home Furnace & Air Conditioning is a perfect example of a well-run, local family owned business. They bring the perfect mix of highly professional work, combined with friendly and approachable customer service. Brad the owner gave us a free quote and an estimated amount of time and money the project would take. The project was completed in the same amount of time and cost that he said it would take. Out of 5 quotes from different companies, Home Furnace & Air Conditioning came in at a competitive price. The owners son, who is the electrician, was on time and very polite as well as their worker. Brad, the owner, came to do an inspection once the project was completed to make sure that it was done properly. He also called both my husband and I to check in and make sure we were happy with the work. They performed the project to the highest level of standards, surpassing our expectations. They made sure we got a permit for the job. I firmly believe that Home Furnace & Air Conditioning is the best total value for AC/Heating needs. We highly recommend them.
We've been using Home Furnace Company for the last 3 years after being referred to them by a friend. (The only other company we tried was McCormick and never followed through with them for many reasons.) Home Furnace Company is responsive, responsible, respectful and want you to be happy with the final product. They are a family business and so you see the same people every time they're at your house. They adjusted our ducts and airflow throughout the house. The airflow in our house is now evenly regulated. Not too strong in the rooms we don't use regularly and just right in the rooms that we do. They also replaced our air conditioning unit. They're price for the unit was about $1000 less than Costco. The work was mostly completed in a day. There was an issue with where the new unit had to be placed on our property and they went and fought permitting for me. It didn't yield anything because it's permitting, but they tried. I highly recommend Home Furnace Company and will continue to use them in the future!
I used Home Furnace Company back in the late 70's for my first house. Fast forward 40 years and when my current furnace failed, I called them. I quickly got a house call and quote for a new system to replace a 26-year-old furnace (which was no longer supported by the manufacturer). Within a few days, they installed a quality Bryant furnace which is far superior to the old one. Other companies had long lead times, but Home keeps a lot of units in stock so they can get you back up and running quickly. A couple days after the installation, I noticed a slight whistling sound when the furnace was running. Brad came out immediately and figured it out and fixed it in 5 minutes. (It was a gas pipe, not the furnace.) Great customer support.
Fantastic service! Came out within 24 hours of the initial call and was right on time. Turned out we only needed a very minor part for the furnace and he had it working with in two minutes. Honest, ethical, and very professional.
