Mike was the technician that came out to diagnose my HVAC/AC which has been continuously tripping the breaker and blowing the fuses. He was on time, reliable, and honest during his evaluation. His experience was apparent by his professionalism and knowledge he shared during his service. I am amazed at work REO Mechanical does. I have had a bad experience with 5 different companies before I tried REO mechanical. The previous companies attempted to charge me 12k-20k for replacing the system and selling me a whole new HVAC unit and every different company gave a different diagnosis, but no one could fix the issue. The inconsistency proved I was being cheated and lied to. REO Mechanical was completely different, and I can tell from the start. At the end of the service, Mike was able to fix the issue and get my A/C running safely and at a minimal cost. Thank God there are still honest companies out there! I appreciate you Mike, and I appreciate you REO Mechanical :)

The folks at REO Mechanical are very professional, and get right to work on an issue. We lost functioning of our furnace and REO was dispatched by the home warranty company to handle the issue. After identifying the problem, we were told by Michael that we would probably need a new system, and it was subsequently verified by Preston. Ashley from the home office handled all the coordination of the various components of the job to make sure things were done in a timely and efficient manner, and never let us down on any aspect. We were very pleased with the staff who handled the actual installation. It was a pleasure to work with the whole team throughout the process. Thanks!

Dealt with American Home Shield problems with sending the wrong equipment which was installed by REO who discovered the problem and negotiated for the right equipment. Shielded me from paying costs of AHS and REO mistakes, and did a professional job including fixing problems created by a previous REO contractor. The job was contracted in June and completed Oct. 30. I have a physical condition that is adversely affected by both heat and cold. They listened to what the delays meant for me and responded appropriatly within their powder to do so. Ashley, Jose, and Isaac were exemplorary in taking responsibility and in completing the work professionally.

Just had Michael out to assess our AC issues. Turns out we will need a new unit entirely, as our current one is ancient. Michael came out in 110 degree heat, and we are so grateful for that. Most of all, I want to give a huge thank you and recognize Ashley in the front office, who was so kind and funny and helpful when I called with an emergency AC issue. Ashley was able to get me an appointment during this horrific heat wave, and she was very professional and FUNNY, which I VERY much appreciated. Thank you Ashley and Michael!

My home warranty sent out a request Reo mechanical to service my air conditioner. They were booked out for a week but Ashley was able to call me in for an earlier appointment. They found the problem right away, and made sure everything was covered by my home warranty. I did have to wait a few days for the part to come in but I was put on the schedule right away. I appreciate the guy that came out after hours on one of the hottest days to make my family and I cool and comfortable. The older gentleman that came out is the real MVP!

After waiting 7 days for the appt. with a broken AC and 90+ degree weather, the technician came to my house and needed to come inside to access the furnace. I asked him to wear his personal protective gear and to wipe down his ladder with a disinfectant wipe before coming into my home since we are in the middle of a global pandemic. He proceeded to put on his gear and then said that he wished to decline service to me because I was being unreasonable. He left. The company called me the next day demanding a service fee and told me that (and I will quote!) “You created chaos to his day by requesting him to wear his personal protective gear. You should have removed your children from your home prior to him arriving if it was an issue.” It is clear that they have zero regard for customer safety. The fact they demanded a service fee and did not complete their service is beyond me. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I do not recommend them and I do not trust them. As a business owner myself that interacts with the public, I have gone beyond my duty to follow the CDC recommended guidelines to keep our community safe as well as my employees. I would like to note that I have clean, unused (still packaged) personal protective gear in my home I could’ve offered him if it was an issue of not having it. It wasn’t a matter of not having a mask and gloves, it was a matter of refusal to wear them but still demanding money. _____ EDITING TO ADD A RESPONSE TO REO'S RESPONSE (06/25/20) Dear REO Mechanical, I can assure you that my emotional state is well in tact. As a young, healthy woman who mediates and workouts daily, runs my own (successful) business and lives in a very happy household with my family, I have had little to no effect with my day-to-day in this global pandemic. This company was sent to my house by the home warranty people to fix my heater. They did a shoddy inspection of my heater and gave me a blank bid. Then they called back and said it would be $1900 to CLEAN my HVAC unit and the home warranty would pay $347 to replace the control panel. From my research this is a common practice where the homeowner gets way over charged while the home warranty company pays a pittance. I tried to look them up on the State of California contractors license website but there was no business named REO Mechanical listed.
