I've used Desert Air for a couple of years now and recently scheduled an appointment for a bi-annual standard service as part of my annual service subscription. I had to schedule an appointment 3 weeks from the day I called to schedule and when my appointment day came, the service tech failed to show up. I called the office and asked where the tech was and they said that since I didn't answer a phone call to confirm the appointment (they didn't tell me I had to do that when I scheduled the appointment and I work and am not always able to answer a personal phone call) that my appointment was cancelled. I thought that when a company makes an appointment, they show up?? I expect those with whom I do business to show up when I've made an appointment with them. I arrange my life to accommodate and then they don't hold up their end of the bargain. During my conversation with the office they said I'd have to wait another 3 weeks for an appointment. No thanks, I'll be using another service.

The company throw some numbers for the repair costs. I had an issue with my AC on Saturday. I called this company and the technician get there after couple hours and found out the circuit board is bad. They charged me $118 for just diagnose to see what the problem is, but this is very surprising that this is not included in the repairs costs. So the technician told me they have to order the circuit board on Monday which may cost about $400. On Monday they called that we have the board but it costs $700. I am also a technician and I know how much would this cost, but seems like they want to charge more because they know it's hot and you need it. After talking over the phone they lowered it to $660. The total repair cost including diagnostic $788. I had the same issue with my other unit AC, same board with labor cost another company charged me total $400. To look for an issue it's for their technician. Why would I pay for it? If after diagnostic I say no I don't want repair, that makes sense to charge for diagnostic. But if I asked them to repair this shouldn't be separate from their repair costs. I never seen something like this working with different companies.
Victor resolved my issue with my Thermostat not coming on, he was Amazing to troubleshoot and identify the problem. He was very polite, kind, professional. I would like to commend Victor on a job well done! His work was superb. I am a new customer. They immediately restored my cool environment. They diagnosed a leak and was able to find and repair. I am on maintenance with them now. Great company. Well organized. Good customer service.

DONT BOTHER CALLING THEY DONT HAVE TECHS AVAILABLE. I live in Palm Springs it’s about 110 degrees and the AC went out. Called this place up to see when’s the soonest a tech can come out and the lady says 4 days till they have a tech available horrible place to do business they need more techs or speed up there time frames.
Brad was very responsive and professional. They installed a system that took a good deal of detail work and Jason and Miguel did a fabulous job of that. They were timely, neat, very thoughtful and courteous, and accomplished the overall goal and delivered an excellent finished product.
Desert Air came to my rescue once again. I called at 3PM when my unit stopped working.It was 110 degrees. Even thought they close at 5 they called at five and told me someone was on the way. Ysidro arrived, identified the problem and fixed it. He spent some time showing me what I need to do in the future. This is not the first time that I have called them. They have always been professional, friendly and fairly priced. I would never call anyone else This year my 20 year old unit finally needed to be replaced. My next door neighbor wanted to do his at the same time. He called all of the best companies in the desert for quotes but I insisted that he call Desert Air. We both ended up going with Desert Air. They did a wonderful job, as always. I could not be happier
Had Desert Air install a new HVAC system in my home. To my surprise (this doesn"t happen here very often) they were here when they said they would be. Performed my total new furnace and a/c unit in the time they had told me it would take. The service tech's were couteous and knowledgeable about the products. Their followup and maintenance has been really good. My total experience with them has been good.
Every time we have had service and/or repairs the repairmen have been on time and have performed the services in a very professional manner. Always friendly and always give explanations for what was done and any recommendations for future service.
Jessica quickly found me in the system and scheduled a same day repair. Then I received a call a couple of hours later saying they were on the way. The service person was fast and professional and fixed my A/C unit in less than 30 minutes.
We had a new Lennox Heating and AC installed 7 years ago, and Desert Air has done a great job maintaining it, as well as being on-time and excellent training. Our annual costs of running our AC have been greatly reduced and we REALLY appreciate that!

I receive service twice per year for heating and air conditioning. Every service person has been thorough, knowledgeable, friendly, and on time. They have kept my systems working under extreme weather conditions. I cannot ask for more
Recently, I purchased a manufactured home that had a newer a/c unit that was installed by the previous owner. I called the company that installed the unit when I could not get my house cooler than 88*. They told me that since my home was a manufactured home and not suitable for desert heat, there was not much they could do. They claimed their unit was working as specified. I had used Desert Air before and called them for help. As expected, they were timely, professional, covid19 cautious and they did a thorough inspection and recommendation. They informed me that there were all kind of problems with the "new" unit and that it was not even installed correctly or top code. I could pay to fix everything or consider other options. I now have a ductless a/c and heating unit that has made my home very comfortable... especially during the recent 120* days. They cleaned all the old ducts and tubing, now useless, from underneath my home and left everything spotless. Couldn't be happier.
Outstanding and professional in every manner...From initial contact, to final installation and certification of a new HVAC system, it was top flight and above average in every respect. Even when the city had to come and perform a final inspection everything went smoothly and the inspector was very pleased that the fuse was installed so that he could read all the information without having to remove it....Desert AC has been my AC company of choice for over 30 years and I am very pleased with their performance through the years.....
