AC stopped working recently and thought I'd call these guys based on reviews. I wanted a diagnostic done to see what the exact issue might be and when they arrived they quickly opened and said it may be the capacitor and contactor. I don't know much about AC systems so asked if it could be the coolant as the inside house AC system seems to be operating but blowing out non-cool air. The outside part was making a buzzing noise before not starting at all. They didn't check the coolant system but then I asked if they have tools should they not? Then they did and said it is okay. Then I asked if it could be the motor. They said they can't check motor and must fix the capacitor and contactor first and then see if motor is issue. Capacitor and contactor would run in the $200+ to get it fixed. So finally, I said I'd get back to them and called another company. I asked them if they can check motor to see if that is issue separately. They said yes. Long story short, I contacted an uncle who said 99% of the time the issue is the capacitor and after paying $15 to buy one, it did a youtube search and saw how to replace myself and it fixed the AC. It works.

My husband called Jones Heat & Air, and they scheduled a time to come take a look at our broken AC. They said they would be there between 1-3 pm, but they never showed up. We waited around for an extra hour before we called. When we called, no one answered so we left a voicemail and they have still not had enough decency to return our call. We are very understanding, but the fact that they did not even call or return our call is ridiculous. Although they want to claim they had technicians at our home, my husband took the day off work to be there, and during those alloted hours, he was in our garage with the door wide open and doing yardwork in the front. He even went as far as to move both of our cars so the tech would have easy parking. I was in my living room the entire time, and no one ever came to the door or rang the doorbell. Also, no one ever texted, called, or emailed as they are claiming. If anything, they could still have reached out, but they have yet to even return a call. Not to mention, I never said my husbands name was Andre, but somehow they knew in their response?

Regarding the last comment, I am the homeowner that scheduled the appointment where no tech showed up. Upon scheduling, I explained to Steve over the phone that our hvac hasn’t been working for over 2 weeks and this repair appointment was not urgent, so we scheduled the repair date 2 days after the initial call. I am particular about keeping appointments like this so to prepare I took the day off work, spent the day working in the front yard and garage (with the garage door open), ready to meet the Tech. Even went as far as moving our cars to make sure the Tech had enough room to park. Appointment was scheduled between 1-3pm. 2:55 rolls around, still no tech and still no call. I give them the benefit of the doubt and continue waiting until 3:45 pm to call. I get no answer and leave a voicemail with my number. It has been 2 days and no call back. Other than the confirmation text and email from the initial call I have yet to get any contact back from this company. Very disappointing they are quick to reply in the comments section but no decency to call me back.
