If you choose to go with KOOL AIR HEATING AND COOLING be ready for terrible customer service and even worse workmanship. Unfortunately, I was forced to use KOOL AIR HEATING AND COOLING by our whole home warranty company, and there was nothing “Kool” about our experience. Their lead technician (the father) is completely unreasonable and difficult to communicate with. He also almost walked off the job if I didn’t pay him for the work upfront which goes against the California Contractors guidelines. The contractor can only request 10% upfront or $1000, whichever is less. Unfortunately he had me in a no win situation with the temperature over 100deg outside. After completion of the install, our house would not get below 77deg running 100% of the time over a 12hour period. The suction line at the coil and the expansion valve at the condenser were both freezing over in addition to an excessive amount of cold air leaking from the coil. The icing on the cake was water leaking from the drain line because they didn’t glue the PVC joints. After calling them back out to fix their work, they said there was nothing they could do and everything was fine, despite our house not being able to “Kool” below 77deg. After I sealed the coil myself with aluminum tape and plumbers putty, reinsulating the suction line and then calling out a true professional to check our refrigerant pressure, they determined that our refrigerant pressure was too low. Once additional refrigerant our system started to system finally started to operate properly. Bottom line is if you want your house to be “Kool” during the summer months steer clear of KOOL AIR HEATING AND COOLING.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs any type of service/repairs. They are very professional, informative and get the job done on a timely manner!
The problem with my AC unit was quickly diagnosed and repaired.
Salwan and his associate repaired my A/C system 6/29. He kept me updated regarding when he would arrive for service and successfully completed the service repair in less than an hour. The technicians were efficient and professional.
We were struggling with a faulty AC unit for 2 months before these guys were able to come in and get everything fixed for us! Not only were they professional, but they constantly gave me a call to keep me updated on the entire process. There wasn’t a single time where I didn’t know the status of our repair, and we finally got it all fixed today. I’d highly recommend the Kool-Air team!
