Prompt service on the hottest days we had this year. They had us up and running in no time. Highly recommend! I will absolutely be utilizing them in the future. Prices are fair and market rate. Give them a call, seriously.
I installed a Lennox A/C system through COSTCO about 2 years ago and A-plus is the contractor for this. About one week ago, the thermostat broke. The display went blur and became almost not readable. This seems to be a very common problem when I search online as I saw similar problems are reported by our Lennox users. I called A-plus to fix the problem. First, A-Plus said they will come to do a diagnosis first for $120. I told them it is the thermostat display problem and no need for diagnosis. Then they said they can install a new thermostat for $350. What a rip off! I checked other local A/C service providers and they mostly charge $150 per hour for A/C services. Install a new thermostat may be the simplest service and can be done in half an hour. Not to mention that this is to fix an issue that should not happen in just 2 years. What a rip-off! I am really regret that I installed my A/C system with Costco. I trusted COSTO too much. I assume the service provider selected by COSTCO should have be similar to COSTCO, high qualify and relative low cost. But the service cost of A-PLUS is much higher than other regular service providers. At the end, I decided to use another local service provider to install the new thermostat with much lower cost. So, I just want to tell my story so that the other customer is aware of this before they make the decision to install A/C system through COSTCO using A-PLUS as the service contractor.
I contacted them through Costco because I wanted to install a Heat Pump to replace my gas heat and A/C units. I compared their bid with another company, and their pricing was not only better, but Darren, their sales person was very good at explaining the tradeoffs and configuring the right system for my needs. I was also very impressed with their crew who not only did an amazing job with the installation, but also went the extra mile in cleaning up and fixing a few other things that weren't related to the HVAC installation. I'd definitely recommend them to my friends.
I hired these guys through Costco. I bid 3 companies and although they were not the lowest bid, they were very close and I also got a 10% back by using my Costco CC which ended up being a $1500 Costco gift card! They also found I had a sewer leak and some rats. They took pictures and even one guy went back down to take a video of my sewer leak to send a plumber. After they were done, I had sewer lines put in and attic insulation and clean up done. These contractors left junk. A plus came back out to test my air flow and clean up the junk on top of it!
Rip-off price! Be very careful and don't sign any contract! They came for a free home estimate appointment through Costco. The gave us an estimate and said if we make the decision the same day they would give us 5% off. I trust Costco and think the price shouldn't be too bad so signed the contract with them. Then I forgot to cancel other vendor schdule estimate so the other vendor came and gave us another estimate. The other vendor's estimate is 5K less than A Plus! 5K! how could it be! Then I did some search on the internet. A Plus price is really unreasonable. I tried to cancel my contract but it has been 3 days of contract cancellation period. They are not welling to cancel the contract even I told them other vendor is 5K less. They said they are only welling to refund 50% of the money. Right now I'm going through Costco to complain about this and try to get my contract canceled.
