I thought I had a minor problem with my thermostat but Taylor was terrific, he diagnosed a bigger problem very quickly and completed the repair professionally AIS has great service people
Taylor Yenny checked our AC unit thoroughly. He clearly articulated what’s working well, what’s not, what can be done to improve the efficiency of the unit etc. He presented a few options without putting any sales pressure. I feel good about the system and also knowing that I can call Taylor and he will be available, if I need help. S
Jose was first class. He cleared up my confusion over our service contract and was helpful with information about future service.
Taylor was very knowledgeable and provided me accurate information with diagnostic images of the AC. He provided solutions which I agreed based on the diagnosis and outcome was great. My AC is working good again. Hope I would see lower bill too. I will update if I see lower AC bill. In all Taylor did a very good job.
Gabe came in on-time and was very thorough with his work. He explained his findings to me in detail.
Jose did the work for us. I can tell so many good things about him...To start with, he is one of the most kind & patient technicians i've come across. He explained to us what the issue with the thermostat was, or rather not anything wrong with HVAC aystem or the thermostat, but the incompatibility between the two! He explained in very lay man terms as to why the temperature is not being maintained at a set number. He came back in another visit to install an universal thermostat. So overall, a great experience with AIS heating & air conditioning and their technician, Jose was excellent.
Came to this company a year ago because my previous company wanted to replace major parts of my system every time they performed routine inspection on it. I called AIS to do an inspection service right after the other company tech left me with a laundry list of major components that needed to be replaced for several thousand dollars. AIS tech did his inspection and informed me everything was operating properly. I had not told him about my other experience until after he had finished his inspection. I then fired the other company and signed up for the silver maintenance coverage with AIS and have been very happy with their service ever since. Gabe came today and completed routine maintenance and he only reinforced that I had made a good decision. He's competent, courteous and professional. An asset to AIS for sure. Well done Gabe.

This review is based strictly on their estimate, which came back at over double the price of 2 other companies (Artisan heating and cooling of hayward and FUSE out of Fremont/south bay). The estimate was given without an estimator coming out, so I think they were trying to overestimate to cover any unexpected costs. But the price differential was quite extreme in my opinion so I did not end up using them. I cannot speak to the quality of their work as I did not use them, but it seems good based on the other reviews.
Art Miner came to our house to give us an estimate on a new heating and A/C system. He was very professional and shared his extensive knowledge with us. We especially appreciated his practical approach and he listened to our needs versus just trying to sell us a system.

I just had a mini-split installed in my condo. The whole process was smooth and exceeded my expectations. They first sent Art to give me a quote - he arrived on time and was very knowledgable about the systems and process and walked through what all needs to be done. He also answered my emails really quickly outside of regular work hours when I was working with my hoa to get approval. Team 1 (Rafael, Wilson, and Edgar) and Mike came out over 2 days to get everything installed. Mike came again a few weeks later (which was super easy to schedule through text messaging) after we had a chance to try out the minisplit and inspected everything to make sure it was all installed correctly and working as expected. Overall their communication was very good and they were easy to work with. Very happy getting cool during these heat waves.
AIS is a first class local business that installed a new HVAC system in our home in 2019 and have done annual services on the system since then. They’ve always been on time, friendly and competent. We’re very happy with their work and highly recommend them.
I've been using AIS for years and currently have them come over every six months for an A/C tune-up or a furnace tune-up. They are always great, walking me through recommendations and tier them for me from urgent to more "nice to have". I've had Gabe do my service the past two times and he's great. He's efficient, great at answering my questions, and super friendly. I'm a lifer customer at this point.
Daniel Sojkic is a very knowledgeable and professional service technician who came to our home to provide an evaluation and recommendation/quote for an entirely new air-conditioning system. His explanation of the three options I requested was very clear and well documented. Daniel is an excellent representative for his company, AIS Heating and Air-Conditioning.
Art is very professional and very responsive to my questions. He is an excellent HVAC engineer.
I called them a year ago for heating unit failure in a cold snap. We were up and running in a reasonable amount of time. A year later their service is keeping me in tip top shape and my warranty in good standing.
We contracted AIS to replace and move our HVAC and water heater from a closet in our house into the garage. The experience was fantastic end to end and the quote was quite competitive, as we engaged 4 other contractors in the process. Candus came to give us a quote and performed a thorough assessment of our current system. They even went into the crawl space of the house to inspect our ductwork. Following receiving the quote, Candus took the time to take a phone call with us on a Friday afternoon to discuss a couple of clarification questions we had on the process. This kind of care really stood out to us. The work was scheduled out for a few weeks later. The team that came to our home (Team 2) was always on time, highly communicative and did a fantastic job in the 4 days that they were here. They always checked in at the end of the day to ensure we knew how much progress was made during the day and what to expect for the next day. When they left on the last day, we were very impressed with how well they cleaned up the garage. A few days later we had some follow up items (nothing serious) and Veronica was incredibly helpful in getting us hooked up with Gill, a handyman who works with AIS, who was able to do an onsite visit the following morning and get our questions answered. We have nothing but positive things to say about AIS. I am so glad we chose to work with them and feed good knowing we can always give them a call now if we have any issues! Update: One year following the installation and we have been very happy with the performance and reliability of the HVAC system. At our one year mark, AIS reached out to set up a complimentary 1 year health check. Tyler came by and tested the whole system, both heat and AC, and then walked us through some options for enhancements in the future. He was informative, kept his suggestions realistic and followed up very quickly after with answers to follow up questions and documents.
