Joe is a consummate professional, compassionate about the needs of his clients, offering multiple solutions and ways to pay. His special care of my elder neighbor, who's whole service went down, during a horribly hot time, will have me recommending him for all HVAC repairs and replacement needs.
By far the best company hands down. Gone through so many companies that just don’t care and want to just make money/overcharge you. This company is just amazing not only did they take the time to really see what the problem was, they also continue to check in to see how everything is working. Very reliable, professional, on time and great quality work. Just overall amazing. They truly care about their customers. I will ALWAYS continue to go to this company and recommend them to EVERYBODY I know!
My original review was three years ago and yes they were a great company to deal with, however, let's talk about this year. Called to have my 1 of 2 yearly routine maintenance services done and NO one answered the phone and the voice mail was full. After several attempts I assumed something had happened and they would be in touch as I had prepaid for my maintenance services. No communication received from My Guy. And then out of the blue I get a call from Tarpy who says My Guy has gone out of business and they bought their list of clients and would honor the prepaid service agreements. Great (I thought)! Tarpy comes out and $4,000 later makes repairs that we understood to be things that should have been "fixed" all along. And, then to my surprise on June 16th I received a phone call and a text from My Guy wanting to schedule my maintenance service. I was told My Guy has a new owner and Tarpy some how got a hold of the client list and reached out to clients. YES THEY DID. A simple phone call text, email, or some kind of communication from My Guy in the beginning would have been nice but to leave us stranded is NOT COOL! Wow, what a great company to work with! From the ladies in the office (very professional and sooo understanding) to Nicholas the technician. Bless his heart, Nicholas came to our house after having dental work done and was so "interested" in getting us heat. And he did, Thank you! Love this company so much we purchased the one year service agreement. It's nice to know that we will be taken care of in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
We bought this house less than 2 years ago. Our furnace went out a few days ago so we called a (non-MyGuy) hvac service to come look at it. The serviceman found that the control/circuit board was erroring, and said that since its a My Guy furnace and looks fairly new, we should call them and see if its still under warranty. So we called My Guy and told them the situation, they said they'd call back. 24 hours later they hadn't returned our call so we called again. Explained the situation again, and the lady on the phone said that the furnace was under warranty but that their warranty doesn't transfer between owners. This sounded insane and somewhat illegal to me, but she put me on hold for a few minutes, came back and said that because we called a different service company to look at it rather than My Guy, the warranty is now definitely void. Maybe she had put me on hold to reconsider their policy? Anyway, I said how much does the part cost and how soon can you fix it, and she said the soonest she could get a service person out was one week, and that they can't estimate costs until the service person is at the house. So assuming the part takes a week, the soonest we could get heat was two weeks away and there is no way to know how much it will cost. This is the craziest interaction with a company I've had in quite awhile. Not only do I not recommend My Guy furnaces, I almost would rip this one off the wall and replace it with another brand just to get their name out of my garage.
I was hopeful about this company with all the 5-star reviews. Couldn’t even get to scheduling because the secretary was extremely rude and unprofessional. They also advertise a coupon on their website for the service I was looking for and she said she had to ask if they would honor it. I’m like it’s on your website, the right thing to do is to honor it or don’t falsely advertise. She also seemed to be annoyed with all my questions. If you don’t like your job, you shouldn’t do it. Very disappointed in the poor service I received.
From Bella, who first answered my phone call to Carrie who handled the scheduling and logistics, everyone at Mr. Guy was very friendly and professional. Christian Marroquin, the technician who made the on-site call, was especially helpful. He answered all of our questions. He spotted potential problems and made suggestions for fixing them, explaining the pros and the cons, without pressuring us. We were very happy with the service.
Diagnostic process was thorough. Problem was identified and successfully resolved on first visit. Technician was professional and answered all my questions. I recommend My Guy and will use them again myself.
Great to work with the team at MyGuy. We have used them since we were renting, and now own a home. Consistent solid service keep us coming back when we need a tune up.
We are very pleased by our experience with My Guy! Bella took my call, she was extremely polite and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure we got the earliest available appointment. Christian was the service agent who came to our home - he was professional and explained every detail in terms I could understand. Definitely recommend this company!
I would not recommend this business, I had a very disappointing experience with them. In late 2019 they installed a new furnace in our attic, which worked for a little while, but stopped heating sometime in Jan or February. It needed a new part, a wand like device that heated the air. By the time they a new part and installed it, several very cold weeks, the heating season was over. When it started to get cold later in the year, we cranked up the heat, it worked somewhat, but not as it should have, in retrospect. Then I got a $550 gas bill, which got my attention. I called them, they came out and said that, somehow the vent separated from the furnace. They fixed it, left, and denied they had anything to do with the screwup. They were the only people that even went into our attic during that time. I thought this was very disappointing, and called them asking to talk to the owner, still waiting their call six months later.
Victor, Andres & Chad have excellent customer service! They had to make modifications to install the mini split but made it possible and Installed it in one day! Highly recommend this crew and business! Thank you so much!
Victor & Andres were the team who installed our HVAC system as well as total duct replacement. They were terrific in every way. Victor was the team lead and he brought years of experience and knowledge where we felt everything would be done correctly. I would recommend them.
If you are looking to add air conditioning to your home I highly suggest using My Guy! The entire process was painless. Chad came out and looked at what we had and was able to give us recommendations on what we needed in order to add air conditioning to our home. He was friendly, knowledgable, and was very COVID safe. Victor and Andres came out to install our new air conditioner. They were both also extremely respectful, COVID safe, and knowledgable. Victor was able to answer all my questions during the installation process and never made me feel like I was bothering him.
I’m very happy with my guy heating and air. I bought a new unit from them last year after my old unit from 20 + years ago finally quit working . The team is very professional, from the front office to the techs who install and do repair. They do a great job . If there is ever any problem they are on top of it and easy to contact . I just had my 1st free tune up and Scott the tech did a great job fixing my thermostat and making sure my hvac unit is ready for the hot summer weather . I’m very happy with the new hvac I bought from them and the overall service , value and professionalism of the entire team .
I had the good fortune to have Jared of My Guy Heating and Air work on my mini-split A/C unit today. After unsuccessful repair attempts by two other companies, Jared and My Guy had me up and running in under an hour. I can’t speak highly enough of Jared’s expertise, knowledge and friendliness, and that, combined with My Guy’s quick response and reasonable pricing, makes Jared and My Guy Heating and Air my new ‘go-to’ company for future A/C service and repair. Great company!
If you are looking for an affordable, honest, and amazing HVAC company, look no further than My Guy. They were the first to come out and give us a quote on a new furnace, AC unit, and all new ducts in the attic. Victor was fast, efficient, and COVID safe. Because I like to be diligent, I proceeded to get 4 other quotes. And I kid you not, three out of the four told me something different about the way it would work. All three tried to upsell us or overcharge us on expensive systems that we didn't need. Victor's quote at My Guy was the cheapest and felt like the most honest. He was there to answer all my questions for two weeks up to when they actually installed the equipment. Installation was a breeze. Victor and Andres came out to my property and finished the job in 2 days! They included a nice upgraded thermostat, replaced all of my registers at no extra cost, and even fixed a ventilating issue that was not their job to fix (thank you!). They were courteous to us all working and virtual learning from home. They were even patient and friendly to my overly affectionate and excitable dog. At the end, Victor walked us through everything. Gave us a tutorial about the thermostat and helped us understand our systems. These guys are experts and professionals. Long story short, hire them. You and your wallet will not be disappointed!
100% recommend this for any heating or AC issues. Finally, a company who really looks after their customers. They have at least two of the best service tech in all of San Diego county. CJ and Gerrard (hopefully spelled correctly) really made sure everything was running again and kept the cost down. That really means a lot when you have an unexpected bill. Have to say the office staff was impressive as well. Was able to get my appointment sooner and that mattered when I didn't have any heat this winter. I will definitely use MY GUY Heating and Air again for any repairs. In the meantime, they will be out regularly for scheduled maintenance. Great job! You earned a life long customer. For those who are looking for a good, fair, solid company for repairs, you should give them a call first.
Oustanding service from start to finish from My Guy Heating and Air. We were close to going with another well-rated local company and are so glad we chose My Guy. Everyone there was so friendly and professional, the price was the best in town. Storm, our installer, helped me bring in my trash cans on the morning of our install. I mean c'mon! It's not often people go above and beyond like that. The installers were very mindful of Covid safety measures and wore masks the entire time they were in our home. They finished quickly and everything seems to be working perfectly. Thank you Storm and the other installers, Carrie, Patty, and Caleb for the amazing service. We are toasty warm and so happy we went with this great local company.
I was referred to My Guy from my real estate agent Pete Casperson who I trust implicitly for good local companies for home improvement needs. He gave me Caleb’s info, the owner of My Guy and Caleb came out to give us an estimate to upgrade our AC/Furnace, replace all our duct work and re-locate our units upstairs. Caleb was great, very easy to talk to and offered me a competitive price. I was not looking for the cheapest but I was also not looking to pay a premium price for this big project. I found My Guy to come in with a fair price for top end equipment. When it came time for install our head installer Storm was punctual and great to work with. He explained the process all the way along and kept our home clean during the process which was important to us. After the work was complete, we had Storm come out to do some minor adjustments and he was again very punctual and made our needs a priority. I think that some companies have a big sense of urgency at the time of install but the service levels fall off big time if you need follow up serve. It has only been a week but I have already referred out My Guy to a neighbor and plan to refer them to anyone in need of their services.
Jared Stein-Roe was amazing! He was very professional and knowledgable. He gave me a courtesy call that he was on his way. He was wearing a mask and shoe covers. He even helped me understand the issues I was up against and walked me through his logic. Amazing work done. I feel secured knowing that our HVAC is working properly and is in good hands.
