Had an issue with our AC unit and so glad we called Calcoms! Mike was very nice and knowledgeable. Even rarer to find in this industry, he was very trustworthy and a straight shooter. So thankful he was able to help us out under short notice and give us an extremely reasonable price. Thank you Mike!
Michael is so helpful and patient! He serviced our (very) old AC unit that was on its last legs (30+ years old) several years ago, and when the electronics panel finally died helped us get a new unit at an excellent price. He taught my adult son and me so much about A/C units... it was like having an instructor who made house calls! CALCOMS will get all my A/C and heating business and I highly recommend them!
My AC was not working on 9/5 and I called multiple AC companies on 9/6 to see if someone can come out same day and Michael from Calcoms was able to squeeze in an appointment and once he arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem which was we needed a new compressor and was very helpful in explaining how AC system works in your home. Quick service and very cost effective! Would recommend!

We had calcom fix our air conditioning unit today. We were extremely impressed with this service, kindness, honesty, and professionalism. Mike was very efficient with explaining the problem, and not trying to hose us as other companies did. His parts and labor were affordable. We have always been apprehensive about calling for servicing our A/C. My husband worked in the business for awhile when he was young and the guy he worked for was less than honest so I guess he knew there were some tricky ways of up-charging. We were referred to Calcom’s by several people on Facebook. My husband called and spoke to Michael. We set an appointment for the next day. He showed up within the timeframe given and was very friendly. He was able to locate our problem and resolve it pretty fast. He also gave us some good tips on cooling the house that have made a huge difference. We are very pleased. The price was reasonable and we felt very comfortable with it. We now have a trustworthy and reliable A/C repairman in our phone book. Would definitely use again and recommend.
I used CALCOMS once before and was very happy with their work, so I saved their information for possible future needs. In April 2020, I called them again. We were just starting a scorcher heat wave and my AC was completely dead. My call was answered quickly, and I was able to get an appointment that same day - thank goodness. Michael came out and did some troubleshooting to isolate the problem. He kept me informed every step of the way and showed me the burnt out component in the AC compressor. After replacing and getting the system up and running, he did a thorough inspection of the compressor and the forced air unit which gave me a good idea of the overall health of my complete system. I like that he "educated" me on the system and troubleshooting steps. He also suggested possibly replacing my thermostat with a new modern wifi thermostat. At first I wasn't real sure I needed it, but I like modern technology so I agreed to the upgraded thermostat. I am so glad I did. I love the new thermostat and it is so much easier to use. I no longer need to replace batteries because he powered it from the forced air unit which saves me the hassle of periodically replacing batteries and having to reprogram the date and time which is a pain in the neck. It has great features too. Overall, I got a working system in record time, it is easier to use thanks to a modern thermostat, and the experience and professionalism were well worth what I paid. I highly recommend CALCOMS.

If you want the best in HVAC service, look no further. Michael, the owner, takes pride in his work. He explains everything thoroughly and goes above and beyond to ensure everything is installed and/or repaired efficiently and properly per code. He recently installed new ducts and insulation. Our central A/C is approx 14 yrs old, but he said it's still functioning properly so it didn't need to be replaced. He did replace the old air vents and installed some new ones to ensure the air flow is perfect throughout the house. He helped make the 14 yr old A/C work like new : ) I highly recommend Calcoms Air Conditioning and Heating. Michael is so nice, knowledgeable, trustworthy and reliable. Deserves more than 5 stars!
My husband and I are returning satisfied customers. When our 32 year old hvac system finally needed to be replaced after a few repairs done by Mike over the years, we confidently called on him again. He did not pressure us, but we knew it was time. He managed to fit us in during a hot spell within the week. His outstanding customer service highlighted by a complete and thorough explanation of what was needed and how it was to be done left us feeling comfortable with his team, Gilbert, Greg and Rodrigo while he worked tirelessly along with them from early morning to 9:00pm. Mike went above and beyond our expectations as he patiently tested the unit after his team had left to be sure that everything was working properly. Even though unexpected problems came up, we still got a discount, but better yet, unconditional service and a return visit when it gets cold to test the heater, thoroughly, in winter. Mike’s honesty, integrity, intelligence, professionalism and kindness make him a super human being. He treats each person as important and deserving of his time. Thanks for a job well done.
Last week in dire need of my air conditioner repair for my 80 plus senior parents in the house. Michael provided excellent same day service. He provided me with a quote over the phone. He kept to the initial quote for part and repair even though he had to provide further service of cleaning the coils. He will now be my go to for further repair of my air conditioning units. Mike deserves a 5 stars. He came to check our old AC (more than 16 yrs old). He checked the outside vents & made sure no leak. He explained us why he wouldn't do service on old AC. He didn't suggest us to replace our AC either since it still works. He educated us how to keep our house cooler; basically he opened for any questions we might have. Mike was dependable, he showed up on time, knowledgeable, & didn't try to be a salesman. We like his business & definitely would call him again in the future.
Excellent service! Mike arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule and called before he arrived. He was very personable and quickly diagnosed the problem with our furnace motor. He did not try to up sell me after explaining the risks of repairing our 45 yr. old furnace. Price was fair with veteran discount. I wholeheartedly recommend Calcoms and will use them in the future!
So grateful that Michael could come out on such short notice. He came at the appointed time giving us a call 20 minutes before arrival. I thought the A/C condenser wasn’t working but Michael determined the issue was with the furnace motor in about 2 minutes. We moved into the home about 2 years ago and rarely use the A/C, and we’ve never changed the air filter. It looked like the previous homeowner hadn’t changed the air filter in a very long time prior to that. He repaired the fan motor, and helped look up replacement filters on Amazon/Home Depot.com. On top of that, he even did a full checkup on each A/C unit at no extra cost to make sure everything was running correctly. If you’re looking for a good, honest HVAC guy, look no further!
Michael is extremely professional and courteous! Even with a busy schedule, he was able to accommodate my appointment. He fixed a refrigerant leak in my mini split unit and even patched up the water discharge tube at no extra cost. Do no hesitate to give him a call for your HVAC needs, you will not be disappointed!
Michael was awesome! Took care of servicing our unit and gave us a reasonable quote on a replacement for down the road. Also had some helpful suggestions for maximizing airflow in our home. Will be calling him back for all our future needs. Highly recommended.
I'm so grateful! During a huge heatwave and a newborn in our home, Michael was available by phone and scheduled a future appointment. I understood since it was a peak time with ACs going out. Because he knew we had a newborn at home he made an extra effort to come after hours, did a very thorough inspection, was courteous, transparent, corrected the problem, went easy on our wallet and gave a follow up call a few days later to ensure that the system was still working well. They'll definitely be the ones we call when we need any general maintenance or servicing in the future. Thank you!
I called on a Sunday morning to have ac repaired and scheduled an appointment for the following morning. Michael called me an hour later and said he had a cancellation and could make it that same day. We are in the middle of a heat wave and my home temp was at 90. He came over and the AC was running perfectly in 30 min. He explained everything and was very personable and professional. I will recommend him to anyone I know with hvac needs.
With the busy schedule Michael had, he was able to squeeze me in. Came over within an hour and found out what the problem is within 30 mins. Unfortunately he didn't have the part that needed to replace. Came back the next day (again, squeeze me in his busy schedule) and got my AC unit running again. Great service, will call again if there is any AC issues. I would recommend their service to anyway.
Called to get an appointment when I was not getting cool air from my home AC unit. After explaining to Mike what the symptoms were he suggested I replace the fuses first as they were a lot less expensive than a service call. That did the trick, and saved me about $250 dollars. It was refreshing to find a service company that was not just interested maximizing profits. I called Mike back and expressed my appreciation, and he will be my first call if the need arises in the future.
