There doesn’t seem to be much consistency. One technician will tell me one thing that needs to be done and the next time I have the same problem another technician will tell me that it’s a different solution. I’ve had 9+ guys come out to our apartment to try and fix the same problem that I’ve been having for A YEAR now. I don’t understand why it isn’t fixed. Luckily, I’m renting and no damage has been done (as far as I know), but I’m tired of having to be home for these guys to come out and check out our A/C Unit and I’m tired of it sporadically leaking.
It's July 2023, as of Feb of 2024 I will have been a customer of Orangutan Home Services for ten years. And in that ten years they've: Fixed damage to my home caused by the previous HVAC firm I used, but caused more. They've installed a brand new HVAC package unit, and failed to maintain it correctly. So here I am just trying to survive the Summer one more time before this unit turns 10, and they're telling me the unit requires half of its total value in repairs. IT'S STILL UNDER WARRANTY! But that doesn't matter, because the warranty only covers components that have failed, not components that are failing. The short version is this, if you purchase a unit from Orangutan with a 10 year parts and labor warranty. They will neglect the unit for ten years, which damages the unit such that once the warranty expires you'll be forced to replace the unit. Take your business elsewhere, and don't be a dope and purchase an extended warranty. *edit* A week later, and Orangutan has sent yet another HVAC tech to my home. This one very good at bad cop negotiating. This was literally a commiseration session, with this tech confirming every nightmare I had already experienced. His angle however, was that this situation exists industry wide. And while all this is going on? He's shooting silicone into my unit's condensation drip pan to plug the holes his coworkers made. Exactly the thing I was going to do myself, but was told not to. Nothing in this exchange changes my opinion. After a decade of using Orangutan Home Services, I can prove two things. 1.) They do not care about their customers. 2.) They will not maintain your unit when you pay for maintenance. I literally paid for absolutely nothing. My advice to all remains the same, RUN don't walk RUN to another vendor. Find one that least knows how to clean a coil. I am grateful for the last guy that game out here though. He's an honest man working in a den of thieves.
This company is AWESOME! Came out to look at my unit and was fully transparent with us about what we needed. Their honesty really made our experience a 10/10 and I will be recommending this company to anyone and everyone!

SCAM ALERT!!!! Orangutan installed my AC unit 5 years ago and checked on it bi-annually. They just came out and said the compressor was broken and showed me a video of it frozen over. They said I need a new unit and they checked but it is not under warranty. They said they didn't install it. I then found my warranty paperwork (it IS under warranty). The pprwork also showed that they DID install it. I had another AC guy check it same day and he said there was nothing wrong with compressor and it was not frozen over. Apparently it is a known AC scam that they will pour water on it to make it freeze,video it to scare you, and get you to buy parts/units. The 2nd guy also noted the install was improper and causing roof damage. Also, there was a gauge and a cap missing, the new guy fixed the issue in 5 minutes and was surprised if they had been there that day, and in years past, they never actually serviced the unit.

I was very pleased with their service. They were on time, got the job done correctly and explained the services prior to the repairs. Very satisfied.
Plumbing service. The main line into the house was the backed up ca therefore water etc.. was coming back thru the drains. Ricky identified the problem, (actually showed the pictures in the pipe). He walked me through everything he was doing and what I needed to do to prevent it happening again. Ricky is amazing!!!

Mixed review. It was a fast service however done poorly. My "brand new" unit is not even working properly. Took one single tech 8 hours today to "figure out" a problem that apparently the installation techs done poorly. Who may I add, were cussing around my children, goofing around the entire time (which I have video of on security cameras.) But yet expect me to pay over 11 grand for a faulty system? Company probably won't see a dime of it until this problem is 1000% fixed.
From Tuesday when I got my new HVAC system then Wednesday for my water heater service then today when the tech came out for what I Thought was a problem with my thermostat every one including the women I talked to on the phone have been fantastic and I will stay with this company Juan, Luis and the installers, Cullen
I have a Bad experience from this company when I have my HVAC check technician did do what I asked for when I requested for a service check on my Freon level instead give me a sale pitch for an advantage program they have to offer which I didn’t ask I will not do business with them anymore or refer them to others. Simple request check up that was not performed how hard could it be to just check my Freon.
Daniel, TJ and Javier did a great and professional job replacing our ac unit and coils in our attic. They cleaned up after themselves and even though the job was tough and they were here about 6 hours, we were very happy with their work.
Trevor Franco and Juan Flores were very professional, friendly and tidy. I highly recommend this company.
Cyrus showed up on time and answered all questions I had he even showed me what I'm doing wrong. Very informative all around great and will be getting us more filter and very nice and friendly
Orangutan installed my new water heater. And ever since i’ve had issues (my aunt). But they sent out the most amazing technician his name was Cyrus. He assured me. He was helpful, and got the job done in 30 minutes. Thank you Orangutan for great service, and making this right! Hope to Cyrus again on my next appointment!
