Staff and workers were respectful, dependable and reliable. Work was done quickly, although several appointments were needed. The only downfall is that it was quite expensive.
This is our go to company for Heating and cooling! Josh is always on top it and only has professionals coming to the house! We have know Josh for years and we’re so happy when he started this company.
There are not enough kind words that I can say about this company. Bryan came out on an after hours call late Friday night, he was prompt, kind, clean and VERY knowledgeable. These guys are now my new go-to company for a/c calls!

In case you were unsure just how strategic and amazing our God is in His perfect provision... bear with me as I connect some dots... Earlier this fall, my husband and I won tickets to a Bama game from Iron City Heating and Air. I didn't know anything about the company before we won them, but we had a great time at the game... flash-forward to a month later when I decided I could self-install a smart thermostat. Needless to say, I was unsuccessful and the 18hrs that followed were filled with nothing but frustration. In the middle of that no-heat frustration and failed repair attempts, I remembered my random Bama ticket encounter Iron City. I got to thinking, maybe God crossed our paths for more reasons than just tickets to a Bama game. I called them to see if they could help fix the mess I started, and less than an hour later Josh was at my door and the problem was remedied in under an hour. In a world where far too many people are willing to be dishonest and give you a run for your money, I'm so, so thankful and blessed to have crossed paths with such an honest company who will step into a mess and get it fixed quickly. If you EVER have an HVAC need in the Birmingham area, these are the guys you wanna call.

Our air went out during this excessive heat and humidity and one call to Iron City Heating and Air and a very knowledgeable and friendly service tech came out and found the problem and fixed it. My unit is 25 years old (08/94) and it would have been easy to just tell me my unit is shot. The tech found a burned wire (it had corroded) and replaced it and we are back to cooling. That’s called integrity. That’s a hard character trait to find these days. When the times comes to replace our system, I know exactly who I am going to call, Iron City Heating and Air!

Thanks to Josh Spain and his guys for a great re-do of my condo's HVAC system! The exposed spiral duct looks great, and his service and customer communication were right on target!
I was referred to Iron City Heating and Air after a previously scheduled contractor didn’t show up. Josh came out on the same day, gave me a correct diagnosis and had the parts on his truck to fix it on the spot. While he worked on it, he told me exactly what he was doing and helped me understand how my a/c unit works a little better. I’d recommend this company for any job!
Polite, Friendly, helpful, professional, punctual and efficient. Everything you hope for but never get out of this industry. Would give them 10 stars if I could.

Josh and his team did an excellent job installing my new unit. Not only were they the best price, they went above and beyond cleaning up every last remnant of their installation, plus gave me filters and recommendations for upkeep. I highly recommend Iron City Heating & Air.
Josh is the best! After another company sent me a plumber instead of an AC technician, I called Josh late in the day, around 3:30. Everyone else I had talked to said it would be at least 2 days before they could come out. Josh came the day of and was SO helpful. He fixed my leak and gave me recommendations for upkeep on my unit. He has turned into my go to HVAC call!
Our A/C broke at 3pm on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend (95° outside!). Josh at Iron City answered the phone and came to our house within an hour. Ultimately he and his crew replaced our entire system and did a fantastic job going above and beyond throughout the entire process. I highly recommend you call them if you need HVAC work done.
Excellent customer service and prompt follow up. My technician, Josh, arrived as expected and diagnosed my Nest thermostat issue quickly (and correctly). Most importantly - when I texted him with a follow up question post service call - he responded almost immediately, providing additional details required to assist with my warranty replacement.
I was quite happy with the level of customer service, professionalism, and expertise from Josh and his team. He will work with you and not try to oversell anything. I highly recommend these folks!
Josh & his team replaced and added several ducts for my basement remodel project. They were on time and did a great job on them.
