We are very satisfied with our service from Eric Miller and his team. Eric provided several quotes on different heat pump / furnace system replacement options and worked with us to decide on a great option for our house. He communicated well throughout the process, worked well with us on timing and scheduling, and performed highly professional work, with no hidden fees/charges despite some unusually difficult trenching/exterior work. Highly recommend!

Miller plumbing and heating 1st installed my furnace. It was the weekend of the bad freeze when limbs were falling down all over the place . It was time for a new furnace And they installed it Within 2 days. They are very professional polite And very knowledgeable about what they do. They came and put in my air conditioning unit And it only took them a little over 6 hours. They went around and checked my vents before they left and repaired 2 of them. I will continue to use Miller plumbing and heating . They are the best! Thank you so much.

They were very knowledgeable about the different systems and parts. Were able to give a clear explanation about the differences in the systems very easy to understand. Came on time and the days they promised to be here. Very respectful when working in the house. Cleaned up extremely well after. Showed me how to use the new thermostat and made sure all the settings were correct. Would highly recommend their services to others.

Overall very poor service had my furnace repaired then less than a month later had to get it repaired again they would not even come out until the next day. They are very expensive the sevice tech didn't even finish putting my furnace back together. I will never use the again..

I can't say enough good things about Eric and his crew at Miller heating / plumbing. I had my whole heating and cooling system get fried by a power surge. I had 3 different HVAC techs look at it, and they either wanted to replace the entire system or they wouldn't take the job due to the complexity of the Fujitsu system. I called Eric, and knew instantly he was confident about working on these units. He went above and beyond to get my heat back on in the middle of winter for a fair price. Great trustworthy guy too. When he says he will be there, he will be there I'd recommend him to anyone.

I called to get a quote on a straightforward toilet replacement. They did not give me a quote over the phone but said they would do so after inspecting the site and going over the "hundreds of options" at various levels of quality to help me decide on a toilet. Great, I thought - sounds like these folks were doing their due diligence. Most plumbing companies I'd been calling needed me to either get the toilet myself or only had a few models that they could use.

When the technician called later that day, I asked explicitly that this would simply be a house call to give me a quote and that there would be no charge or fee for anything. It was verbally confirmed to me that this would just be a quote and there would be no fee.

Considering this is Pittsburgh, I suppose I wasn't surprised at all when the gentleman came the next morning, spent a few seconds looking at the malfunctioning toilet, and then asked me to sign a sheet charging a trip visit of $39. I refused based on my previous conversation with the same individual. He politely apologized for the miscommunication. He spoke to his boss who said he had to leave which was fine - he was never here to do work. He communicated that the toilet install would otherwise be almost $900 (!) (I think before the price of the toilet but I am no longer 100% sure). I thanked him and he left.

Edit: Response to owner: Owner did not ask about the rough in or the toilet options I had already selected, otherwise I would have relayed that the rough-in was 12 in. No trip fee was mentioned otherwise I would never have moved forward. As mentioned above I clarified explicitly once the trip schedule was made. I am very disappointed overall with the prices and their communication ability especially when compared to their competitors, but everyone was polite through the whole process and they were able to respond and get someone out quickly - hence 2 stars. I am happy they have been in business for a long time.

This is a difficult review because is deals with correcting a defective system. I had a tankless water heater installed (Vesta VH 199). Eric the owner (Miller Plumbing) did the installation. He had responded promptly when my water tank failed, and I had previously decided to go tankless. The removal and installation went fine. The installation looked great as did the added ventilation needed. Unfortunately, over the next few weeks the tankless started to give only luke-warm water (105F) but just occasionally. Long story short the system which was installed in July was replaced in December after several return visits by Miller Plumbing (Eric) and several replaced parts and numerous calls with the manufacturer. Eric was patient, actually more patient than I was. It was frustrating, but Eric kept his cool and kept coming back to get it fixed. He promised that he was 'on my side and would get it fixed'. He did. Things happen and problems come up but it's how you handle them. Eric stuck in there and I have a new tankless (same make/model) and all appears to be good. Eric did a great job during a difficult time (too much work and not enough help in a pandemic). Thanks Eric.

Our indirect hot water tank (connected to a boiler) sprang a leak. We got a few estimates, but Eric Miller was by far the most knowledgeable person and his estimate was in line with others. We are very happy with the work that he did and will hire him again.
Eric was very responsive. He returned my initial call within a short time and happened to be in our neighborhood, so stopped by to do the estimate within 10 minutes. He evaluated our entire system and took time to explain his recommendations (all of which checked out in our research). His recommendations were not just to sell us stuff, and included recommending a simple switch of water filter type on the line going into the boiler and hot water tank – filters he picked up and charged us cost for ($10) while he was getting other supplies.
His crews were booked for several weeks, but because we had no hot water, he came out and did the install himself a few days later. He did excellent work, cleaned up the space when he was done and explained the new tank and its features thoroughly. Eric takes great pride in his work, holds himself to a high standard and is an educator – all of which we benefit from in high quality workmanship and a better understanding of our HVAC system.

I called Eric Miller on a Sunday morning as my hot water tank went down leaving me with water in my basement and no running water in my home. He responded within 30 minutes to look at the situation on his way to other calls. Mr. Miller explained my options and I chose to have a tankless system installed. He returned 6 hours later to establish the ability for me to use my cold water. The next day 2 co-workers installed the new tankless system. The whole process was done quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend Miller Plumbing.

I contacted Miller Plumbing on a Saturday due to issues with my hot water tank. They responded within the hour and explained the issue to me, and replaced my tank soon after. Allen and the owner completed the project and were both extremely courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. I will definitely be contacting them in the future for any issues.
