I literally use Walsh Brothers for all of my plumbing needs. Joe Walsh and his team are professional, respectful, honest and the pricing is competitive. They've done everything from removing my oil tank and installing furnaces, to moving our kitchen gas line, and everything in between. We're very pleased.

Walsh brothers ran the new natural gas lines and installed a new boiler with indirect hot water heater in my house recently. For starters, the system works so that is why its 3 stars. I was however, less impressed with the company overall.

To start, I explained to Walsh that I had a parrot that was fairly sensitive to cool temperatures and was assured that the heat would not be taken offline until all lines were run, probably the second day of the install or late the first day, but during the install the heater was disconnected 15 minutes after they arrived. They were supposed to supply space heaters while the heat was off, but did not, fortunately I have 3 space heaters that successfully kept the temperature close to 60 degrees during the duration of the heat being off (2 days). During the install the electrical board on the water heater shorted, so I was without hot water for an extra day (to their credit, someone came out on a Saturday to correct this). When they removed the oil tank, they failed to fill the hole in the side of the house where the vent ran, when I pointed it out to the owner days later, he did come back to fix this. Upon initial install, they failed to install the spirovent to remove air from the system and had to come back to finish at a later date after I pointed this out to them. During the install, one of my gutter extensions got crushed, again the owner eventually replaced this when I pointed it out to them. The installer borrowed my kitchen broom to clean up the job site at the end of day 1 which left the broom caked with dirt and dust, owner replaced after pointed out. A light bulb was broken and glass left all over the floor when they left my house one evening. All in all, the job was done, the heater works fine, the line to the stove works fine, but it took 5 visits over the course of 3 weeks to complete the work that they claimed was a 2 day job.

In addition to this, I had them give me an estimate for plumbing work that I wanted to get done around the same time as the heater install. The proposal was allegedly sent several times, but I never received it. Eventually they sent it to the correct email address (despite having an email conversation previously). I still do not have the plumbing work done weeks later due to the communication failure. I have been trying to reach them for several days about the plumbing job calling them multiple times and leaving a message with the person that answered to see if I could get additional information and have not heard back from them. Needless to say, I am electing to go with a different company for that project.

I really hope they figure out whatever it is going on, because the system works, and everyone seemed like good people, but some of this stuff is just unbelievable to me.

Our AC stopped working last night in the middle of a heat wave. In addition, my wife is 9 months preganant, so needless to say this was an emergency! I called them first thing this morning and Tim showed up within 15 minutes. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. The issue was fixed quickly and the quote was very fair. As new homeowners, we didn’t know who to turn to, but I can honestly say we are now customers for life. I highly recommend Walsh Brothers for all your HVAC needs!

John O’Dougherty and Matt Ondo responded within minutes, made an accurate assessment of the water heater needing replacement and installed my water heater within hours of my initial request. They were both professional, friendly, knowledgeable and ensured cleanliness of my home when they arrived and left. I know have a functional hot water heater in my home thanks to John and Matt!!! Highly recommend!!!

Walsh brothers plumbing has done a number of improvements on my house including a new gas boiler in the basement and relocating a wall unit air conditioner. Their pricing is very reasonable and the quality of work is phenomenal. Highly recommend! Will use again in the future. 100%

Just used this company for a new HVAC system. Our system broke down when it was 103 degrees out on a Saturday. I called two companies to come look at it. Got the better price and warranty from Walsh Brothers and Joe, the owner, seemed really honest and gave me two different options and prices,

I felt bad as they worked in 100 degree weather but they did not seem to mind at all. They worked hard and they worked fast, left no mess behind and I am a happy customer. I am pleased with their work and employees and I will without a doubt use them again.

I have an occupied rental property in Upper Darby. Had a plumbing problem with a cracked cast iron soil line. Had no personal plumber. I wanted a local plumber in the area to handle the problem. I called McLoughlin Plumbing first and left a voicemail explaining my problem and asked for a response. I am still waiting for the returned call. I guess they did not want my type of plumbing work. Next day I called Walsh plumbing told them my problem. They came to inspect the problem within the hour. They left and returned an estimate of the work an hour later. They said they would do the work the next day. They were waiting for me at 8:30 the next day as agreed when I arrived. They repaired the old cast iron with new cast iron. I was very happy to have the problem solved let alone so quickly. I never seem to have good luck with contractors. Walsh was a pleasant surprise. Thanks guys.
