Woke up a few days ago to a broken furnace. I'm a bit of a DIYer, so tried to fix it myself, but couldn't quite get it. Called Orbit and they were able to send Emily over on the same day. She was great! She walked me through what was going on and even appeased my DIY personality by showing me exactly how/where our furnace motherboard shorted out. We're now sitting in a warm house again. Thanks!

As part of a larger remodel, Travis recently relocated the furnace, gas line, and replaced the majority of ducting in our basement.

We hired Travis because he was the only HVAC contractor we met with that actually took the time to run calculations and fully-scope the project before delivering us a bid. His prices also seemed fair during a time when other contractors we spoke with were asking for significant premiums due to market demand.

Having hired and managed contractors for the past 7 years, we have high standards. We were pleasantly surprised with Travis's work. His work was meticulous, and he took the time to do things right where others might have cut corners.

As a bonus, Travis and his father were a pleasure to work with. They were very conscientious, we enjoyed their personalities, and always felt comfortable with them in our home.

I can't speak highly enough of Travis and Orbit Heating and Cooling. I woke up to realize my furnace was not cycling on and it was 40 degrees INSIDE my house.!! He scheduled me in a full 5 hours before anyone else could on a day when the temperature was 19!! He charged my almost $50 less than anyone else quoted for a service call and I believe he worked harder at finding an ecconomical solution for me than anyone else would have. I still need to replace my furnace (obviously with Orbit) but Travis saved the day and my pocket book today. I couldn't be more thankful

Initially they were responsive if a bit discombobulated. Scheduled a visit to my house to assess the possibility of new AC install. They talked alot about the ins and outs of units and install and seemed to know their business... and at the end of visit made promises of a bid, of maintenance, gave me a ball park number - and promised to throw in this and that.. instead what I did receive a day or two later was a phone call to tell me that my house was not up to code (even though its a new construction, has approval from the city and all of its permits) and didn't offer any explanation as to what exactly was the problem (when initially on site i was promised an email with the pictures they took and a summary along with the bid). I called again to ask if they were going to send me an explanation as promised but received a bunch of excuses and then silence.

No other contractor that I had out had an issue with the house or permits, On the exterior of the house the distance to the outdoor disconnect was short to the location meant for the AC but not something that couldn't be fixed. . If they didn't want the job they could have just told me so instead of creating confusion, having a poor attitude on the phone, over promising, not delivering and then leaving me in the dust.

When our furnace broke on one of the coldest days of the year, Orbit came out quickly and fixed it within a day. They were courteous and kind. Great customer service! I highly recommend them!

Emily came and cleaned our whole HVAC system. She was thorough. She took COVID safety protocols seriously. She communicates very clearly.

This is our third experience with Orbit. Highly recommend them.

We contacted orbit about installing a new a/c unit in our house in NE Portland. We were told that someone would call us back that day.They didn’t.Someone finally called back a few days later and left a voicemail.In that voicemail, they told us they would have to call back in a week or so to firmly schedule a home visit for the week after that.This seemed bizarre (why can’t you just lock in a date when I first call you?), so we emailed them again to confirm their promise that they would call us back in a week. They never called. We then emailed again and got a very rude response. We ended up calling both AAA and Wolfer’s and it was a much better deal with them. I wouldn’t bother with this company.

Gave a 2 minute visual inspection of a working furnace and said we needed a new furnace. Did not remove any panels or do any type of deep inspection other than looking at it.
Also said we needed new ducts without even looking at the ducts.
It felt like the equivalent of shining a flashlight on a car and saying it needs a new engine.
Useless.

Orbit, and each of their employees, Aaron and Drew, were outstanding. So professional, thorough, and went above and beyond. Highly recommend.
