Our unit had been repaired 3 times in 1 1/2 years, by other company's, but stopped working again this Spring. So I called Davis Air. Tommy, the Repair man told us, that he had been working on that unit several times, prior to us purchasing the home. He suggested, to save money and additional repairs, to replace the system. I was reluctant at first, but once he quoted me the price and even offered finance options which was very reasonable, we realized that this was the best solution Davis Team came out 2 days later, replaced the Handler and outside unit in approx 4 hours. They were professional and worked as clean as possible. After a few days, testing the unit in both heat and cooling feature and monitoring our electrical usage, I noticed the latter was about a third of what the old one required, but was very efficient in both heat or air. In addition, all the loud fan and compressor noise had disappeared I am glad we called this Company and would recommend them to anyone. i can honestly say, after having 3 differend repair companys prior, they are the best. Thank you Davis Team
I can always count on David Air to do the job right and do it right the first time. Their pricing is fair and their service is second to none. Special thanks to Joe Bob for his attentiveness to our needs!
We've been with Davis Air Conditioning for a number of years. We also have the yearly service maintenance agreement with Davis and have been totally satisfied. We appreciate Tommy Taylor's expertise.
I received an invoice from Davis Air Conditioning today. It says I owe them $80 for a 'service call'. There are several things wrong with this. 1. I had previously called them out to fix my a/c, and the tech never fixed it. 2. When I called back, I specifically made two things clear. The first was that the previous call did not remedy my situation and the second was that I was not willing to pay the 'service fee' if they were to come out again.
Now, the first time I called, I asked them if there was a charge for them to come out and they told me there was roughly an 80 dollar charge for them to come out. I asked if that would be applied toward any of the work and she told me no, but that if there was any additional work necessary, I would be told the costs of that up front before they continued. When they came out, they replaced my capacitor, without first telling me that it would cost $140. When he told me it was $140, I said, "Really? Wow!". When he came back from the van, that cost had been reduced by $40. He told me the motor would go out in a few days, and that it would cost ~$600 to replace. I told him I wouldnt be paying $600 to replace a motor, because it's a unit that is 15+ years old, and a brand new furnace costs $600. SHIPPED. He was very quick to tell me they don't install anything but their own. Which, obviously, they mark up 2x.
So, I do not recommend this company. They take advantage of the consumer, and their priority is profit, not helping people. Furthermore, they advertise free estimates on their website. I will attach a screenshot. However, that estimate disappears the second you call. This is mainly due to the fact that the majority of their revenue comes from mobile phones, and their mobile site has corrected their 'free estimate' to note that it is only for new installations. They forgot to make this update to their desktop version, so technically, they are doing committing 'false advertisement'.
Unfortunately, finding a service company that you depend on in a time of need that won't take advantage of you. I do not recommend Davis, and have no recommendations to you of companies that will not take advantage of you. I would call around, because you could save yourself hundreds of dollars... you will save hundreds of dollars. So, take this time to go out, eat a nice meal, while taking the time to find a more reliable, honest, and trustworthy company.
Hopefully this particular company will die off, the sooner the better.
I will never use this company again. Had them come out when my AC wasn't properly working they insisted I needed a new unit and new duct work, quoting me well over 15,000$. I called another company and the only thing my unit needed was to be recharged. They also replaced a capacitor and installed it incorrectly I had to have someone else correct their work. This company is a big company that is only trying to sell new units, either their technicians do not know how to trouble shoot issues, aren't willing to work, or they are crooks. Either way don't use Davis.
I have been without air for 3 days. Davis Air was the only one who returned my call. Chris Hall was the tech , came after hours and he figured out the problem , explained everything to me. He was very pleasant , courteous . What a joy. I will never use anyone else.
Very quick initial diagnosis of the problem. Required repair parts which were ordered that day and applied within days. Both visits were conducted by friendly and knowledgeable technicians. They were very good about cleaning up after the new parts installation.
The owner personally contacted me and apologized, and personally ensured that the estimate was sent to us, he then followed up with another phone call to insure we got the estimate and to answer any question that we had.
Came to do an estimate for air conditioner/heater replacement, told my wife they would email the estimate. she called them a week later to make sure that they had the correct email. They told they and would make sure the estimate was sent out. That was almost three weeks ago. I guess they don't want our business.
Chris did a great job! Very caring and made sure everything worked properly before heading to his next job! Thankful and blessed it was cloudy and no extreme heat until our air was working again.
We appreciate Chris's knowledge and work ethic, ensuring our AC system is in good working order for the coming season! We trust him! Knowing in past years he took care of any maintenance issues and repairs well!
