Second time using Dormar and will continue to use them for my heating and cooling needs.
Both service techs that have came are all professional, knowledgeable, and take time to answer any questions that I had and showed me in detail what they found wrong.
Calob was awesome! Even with the machine not fitting into some of my vents, he was very professional and thorough. He called the office and explained the situation and I wasn't charged the full amount. Their service plan is exceptional and I would recommend this company to anyone in the Newark or licking county area!

Have used their maintenance program in the past and that's all good. Called a week ago and was wanting them to work on a oil burner furnace and a quote for a complete new system. Was told no problem and I would be Called back. Well, no call back and I have tried 3 times to reach out with no response. I guess they are to busy and don't need or want my business and I will take my business elsewhere.

Payed $240 just to have the “professional” to say that my air filters were bad, which they weren’t they were brand new. They tried selling me $450 duck cleaning, ended up having my stepdad call his friend that owns a hvac parts company and have one of his techs look at it. Ended up being a web of a spider was blocking the orifice of the gas to gas valve. Only charged me $75 too. You guys are a scam, if you need someone recommended that you can trust call Johnstone company and ask them to recommend you a good hvac technician.

Make sure you call Google to get your money back from these scammers!!!

We had an AC unit and furnace coil replaced about 6 months ago. Multiple people out to inspect the unit because we kept having issues. Unit froze up completely about 2 weeks after install. Was ghosted the first day when someone was supposed to come our and fix it - never showed up. Guy came the next day, refilled the freon and left without testing the lines for leakage. Called and asked about having lines testes as a brand new unit shouldn't leak freon. Was told to 'trust the tech.' AC unit froze up again a couple weeks ago. Called another company to come out and take a look as I no longer trust anyone from dor mar in our home. Turns out they cracked our AC line when installing new AC unit and never replaced the line going into our home.
Freon has been leaking from our unit for 6 months. $500 to fix it after we already paid $5400 for install 6 months ago. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They overcharge and their techs are either incompetent or are told to mislead customers intentionally.

Uodate: I can not get anyone via phone or email to address my service issues. Its been a week at this point.

Furnace went out on Saturday night in 20 degree weather. Called Dor Mar when I woke up Sunday since they are listed as 24/7. Talked with a dispatcher immediately, and a tech was at my house before noon to diagnose. Would have repaired then but had to order a part. Explained the issue and was very helpful. Very happy with the service!

The whole Dor Mar team was awesome! Highly recommend. We had Wes, Cody and Brad. They were quick to respond, with great advice on what road to take. Air conditioner went out, assessment done in less than 24 hours and a completely new unit was installed in less than 48 hours. For a mom of 3 young kids, this was a lifesaver and gave me such peace of mind. High recommended! Will use again for any other heating or cooling need!

This is an update from the issue stated below. Dor Mar has been very apologetic.
They waived the 30% restocking fee, and they reassure they are using this experience to improve their service. This was taken care in a professionally and in a timely manner.

My mother has health issues. The first time they came out, they put dye in the lines, it only takes 48 hours to work for them to read it, they didn't come back out for another 2 weeks. They placed a part on the furnace. It took them a total of 6 times coming out to tell my mom she needs a new air conditioner unit. In the mean time my sister was trying to contact Thomas, the manager and he wasn't returning her calls. The tech that was out was trying to schedule to get the unit installed the next day, but said it wouldn't be until Tuesday, it was Wednesday and with the heat we all was thinking of moms health. She agreed and signed to have a new unit, hoping it would be installed before Tuesday. After discussing we weren't satisfied with the service or company and Thomas never reached out to resolve this issue. My sister filed a complaint with the Business Better Bureaur, and Thomas replied "resolving". So when my mom called to cancel the service they told her she would be charged 30% to cancel. Well they need to eat the 30% for all the hassle they have put us through. My sister and I have been in customer service and management for over 30 years, and this company is very unprofessional. We feel like they have taken advantage of an elderly person. Those who have had service with this company, you might want to question if they really replaced a part that needed replaced. And if your looking for a service, I would recommend going somewhere else, because if you come into an issue, don't expect to get it resolved.
