My furnace was not working in the beginning of the pandemic. George's was recommended to me by a co-worker. How we and her dad both came out and replaced a little part told me it would fix the issue. One month later The parts stopped working and their phones were no longer working I could not get through to them they charged me $600 for this part. I got recommended a different company to come out and take a look at my furnace and the gentleman told me my furnace was done and I showed him the part that was replaced a month ago and he told me the part was a 79 cent part The people who were placed it knew my furnace was done and they took me. He said they definitely took advantage of me. I kept trying to call and the number that I had was disconnected no longer in service. I did have the other company and replace my furnace as well as my air conditioning at a great value I would never recommend these two to anyone they're wonderful people they have great personalities but they are thieves!

Holly was amazing! Very efficient and knowledgeable. She responded to my call quickly. Same day service, arrived promptly. She even liked our dog. She did an excellent job replacing the capacitor on our AC unit. She took extra time, showed my son the part and explained the problem. The price was affordable - much appreciated. Great Family Owned Local Business.

Holly is very responsive, knowledgeable and courteous! She was able to diagnose my issue and have it repaired on the spot. I will always use George’s and always refer them to my clients. Keep up the good work!

Delayed review. Our furnace stopped working last winter n the company Dominion sent out under their repair program wanted a huge price to replace with a small furnace. We called George's for a 2nd opinion. Not only did they quote a reasonable price they also knew our old furnace had a manufacturer replacement program for certain condition. The other company never mentioned that. We did end up going with the new one. George's is very friendly. They return calls. And helped when really needed

George's used to be my go-to company for furnace and air conditioner cleaning. I don't know what happened to them, but I was not at all happy with the service for the last 2 appointments. During my furnace ck in the fall, I was informed they do not fix my make of furnace and could not get the parts needed to fix it???? .I found this out after years of using them to clean and ck my furnace??? Since he was there and I would be charged anyway, , I had him clean it.
When I found someone that does service my brand...he was surprised when I told him my furnace had been cleaned. (He had to re-clean it...he didn't charge me for cleaning, just the part and repair so I know he didn't just tell me that to get more money.)
Since I've been needing freon for the last couple of summers, I decided to have George's come out to clean my air conditioner. Heck, give them another chance since I had been happy with them..until the last time.
Yes, I did need freon. They charged me $66 for cleaning...the price had gone up. Looking online (after the fact) I found out many places include the freon in the cleaning fee and if they do charge extra, it usually is $50 per lb. at the most...I was charged $82 for 1 lb. Plus I never saw any readings and at this point I'm even wondering if a whole lb. was actually added. Other years I needed less than 1/2 lb.and the price was much less. When questioning the high cost, I was told freon is hard to get now and since their price went up, they have to charge more. OK...but why so much???
I guess I don't have the guts to confront people in person but I'm not happy so I'm writing this review.
So sad...I really liked these guys. My Mother uses them and is happy with them..I guess she has the right brand of furnace/air conditioner. Maybe it is just me or maybe every tech is different. Who knows??!!
I just have to give them a bad rating at this point.

I’ve only had two encounters in a round about way with this company. We have an older furnace, and it intermittently stops igniting from time to time. Last fall the service tech was super friendly, he came in and inspected, but at the time of his inspection. The furnace was miraculously working just fine. He did a cleaning and checked the usual parts etc, charged us our service charge fee and was on his way. I’d rate that experience a 4 out of 5 stars.

The second experience, 6 months later, was for the same issue. The furnace was intermittently igniting, and the house was cold so we called George’s and made an appointment for one of their techs to come by. They were very accommodating as far as timeframe goes, they even showed up early when asked to due to my girlfriend getting off work early.
Upon inspection the fella determined that the circuit board was at fault and would need replaced. No problem. Easy fix for the most part after some diagnostic research.
I don’t have an issue with their service, I have an issue with their prices. We were charged an $80 service charge, apparently just to get him in the door. Not exactly sure what the $80 covers but it should in my mind cover the inspection and diagnosis process of figuring out what’s wrong with the furnace. Then they charged $385 for the new circuit board. After some quick research, we found out that the AVERAGE price of that particular board runs slightly less than $100 online. Obviously, there is contractor markup on parts, and obviously there’s an install cost for his labor to install the board. But all in all, the fella was here for less than an hour, and half that time was spent trying to explain to my girlfriend why her furnace and air conditioning needs to be replaced (it might be older but it still works good and is in excellent shape) and that it would probably cost her around $13000 to replace her furnace and AC.
If you break it all down, he was here for an hour, had a service charge, a parts charge, and apparently a labor charge.
Total bill.... $464.95
If you figure the part costs an average homeowner $100 to buy online, that would leave $365 to cover his service charge, parts markup, and labor install the part (10 mins)
$365 an hour. That’s what they made.
Kudos to the service tech, he’s obviously a good salesman, and made his company plenty of money in that hour. But lesson learned, Georges won’t be back in this house again. Buyer beware.

AC Unit wasn't working. Called them up and with in 30 minutes had a tech at my home to fix it. Ray was the tech and he was Awesome! Super professional guy that really knows what to do. He had it fixed in no time and the bill was more than reasonable. Feel bad, I should have tipped him. Will be giving this company a call for any other heating and cooling needs for sure!!

Very professional, great response, fixed quickly. Used before in 2018 and today always very happy with their service.

I had a problem with my furnace and they came in a timely fashion. They didn't try to charge me for anything unnecessary or try to tell me 5 other things wrong. As a single female I appreciate Ray's professionalism. I would refer them to anyone needing help with their hvac.
