UltraAir installed the HVAC system in our new home. We had so many problems and UltraAir did little to help. First, the blower motor was off balance and shaking the house. UltraAir could not figure out the problem. We had to call another company to diagnose the issue in order for UltraAir to fix. Then, our system did not keep up over the summer and we had condensation on the vent covers. UltraAir tried to tell us this was normal. After 2 months and involving our builder, we finally got UltraAir to check the system. We got a better technician this time, Moe. He found that the fan speed had been set incorrectly when the blower motor was replaced. The system started keeping up after he fixed that, but we still had condensation issues that UltraAir considered normal. We had a home inspection to prepare for our 1 year builder walk through and found multiple areas of duct work that were not sealed properly. The inspector said it looked like they just skipped the last step of putting mastic on. We had a different HVAC company come seal everything and the system seems to be working well now. I understand mistakes happen, but want to work with a company that stands behind their work and fixes their mistakes. That is not UltraAir.
Excellent customer service with quick response! Air conditioning stopped working during heat advisory, with temps close to 100 degrees. Received appt within a hour for the next morning. Text message notifications received with expected arrival time. Technician, Moe, was wonderful, friendly and new his service. Got air up and running quickly with a low price!
TLDR: Ask for Moe! I had a horrible situation where my AC unit condensate line was leaking like crazy, even though the unit had been serviced by another company over the winter. I called up JW (via American Home Shield) and they were able to come out the following week (busy schedule, high summer!). JW sent Moe who was kind, patient, professional, and extremely experienced in servicing and understanding AC units. He was able to explain to me the source of the problem and how to diagnose if the problem was going to recur. I would definitely use JW again, and recommend Moe to others.
I have to admit when I first read the reviews I was leery. However, this company is totally awesome. They surpassed all my expectations. I had a call ONE hour after putting in the service request with AHS. To my surprise the service was going to be within a couple of hours. The tech they sent, Mo, was super nice. You can tell he really cares about his work and customer service. Will definitely recommend in the future. Thank you for getting my system working!
My 16 y/o+ heat pump went out for its annual summer vacation. Called AHS for warranty repair. Totally ready to trash the heat pump and have a new system installed. Jimmy worked up an estimate for my ideal system, but I decided to sell my home so I opted to just fix the old unit. He did such a good job the unit is working better than ever (used to never turn off in the summer until late at night) but now, it only pops on two or three times an hour. My electric bill is about 40% less. I'm just amazed! Great job, Jimmy and team! Thank you!
Company replaced a few parts on my gas furnace but issue was still not fixed. Finally sent someone out for the 4th or 5th time and said they can’t figure out what is wrong so we have to find another company to fix it. Very frustrating since we’ve had a heating system that has not worked for over a month now in the winter time.
Trash! I put in my work AHS warranty request in at 5am. Called JW Ultra Air at 7:30am 8, 9, 10am. Never returned my call. Called AHS at 10am to get a different company to do work. They were able to reach JW Ultra Air & they said they were going to call me. 12pm I called Comfort Monster & canceled. JW Ultra Air is straight trash & unprofessional. At least call your clients back & let them know if you can come out same day or different day instead of dragging them so they won't be able to get service. This company obviously doesn't give 2 sh*ts about anyone!
Update- 7/9/20 @ 4:30pm- Received a call from the manager ofJW Ultra Air apologizing how everything went down this morning & the issues they were having with their phone system. In my opinion any company willing to do that gets a fair shake in my opinion. Thank you for calling me & explaining you situation.
I had American Home Shield home warrenty and they use JW Ultra Heating and Air to service their clients. AHS called Ultra and one of their tech came to my house and looked at the unit, put gage on the unit to see if the level of freon knowing that AHS only pays 10$ per pound. The tech then saya to me, its going to cost you put of pocket 850.00 for freon and I had to pay him that day right then before he could fix the cause of the problem. So I refused to pay it and sent the tech on his way. Two days later I had another tech come out to the house to get a second oppion. When I told him I didn't have 850.00 for the freon, he said 850.00? It only holds two pounds of freon and it will only cost you 250.00. Meanwhile, I had already cancelled AHM becauseI was upset based what the teach from Ultra Air said to me. Knowing he was lieing to me because I was a women and at home my myself. I am reporting this company to the BBB for insurance fried. Also I would not recommend this company to NO ONE !! I am not done with this situation because this company cost me 4,500.00 dollars for a new AC unit.
If I could give zero stars I would. I called in a service order through AHS (American Home Shield Warranty) on Friday, August 7, 2020. They told me someone from (this TRASH ESTABLISHMENT) would come out the following Monday or Tuesday. I spoke with someone on Monday morning. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the guy's name who I spoke with but he stated that he's the owner of the trash establishment. I explained to him that AHS said he'd be out either Monday (the same day we were talking) or the following day. He said could come out the following day which was Tuesday. I informed him that I will not at the home as I am out of state but there is a lockbox on the door which I gave him the code so he can enter the home upon his arrival to make the necessary repairs. I also informed him that the home is on the market for sale as well as the issues that need attention which are the same issues I reported to AHS when the work order was created. The guy was rudely talked over me as I was talking and spoke of the issues that I called into AHS. He had the audacity to tell me "let the buyer worry about fixing the issues" instead of minding his own business which was to go out and fix the repairs that I called him for which he never did but he did hang up in my face as I asked him questions in an attempt to confirm that he had all of the needed repairs listed. I immediately called him back, he didn't answer. I then texted him right after telling him "I WILL BE LEAVING A REVIEW ONLINE, with Home Warranty Shield, and with the BBB. You are rude and UNPROFESSIONAL AT ITS FINEST!. Get some class about yourself." He called me back about 15 minutes later and left a voice message stating that I hung up on him which was a LIE, and that he received my text message, it seems as though I was upset him if I want the work done send him the list of items that need repair and he'll go out to fix them the next day 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm. I sent the repair list by text after listening to his voicemail which he never responded to. The following day, the plumber arrives at my home and tells me that the keys to my home were not in the lock-box but were hanging out of the electrical outlet by my back door which is out in the open for anyone walking by to see. I automatically concluded it was the rude unprofessional creature who had done this EVIL ACT. I immediately contacted my Realtor asking her for an explanation. She informed me that no one had been at the home since she last visited it the Friday I called the work-orders into AHS so it had to have been JW Heating & Cooling. Not only did this RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL LYING LAME not complete the work-order but he SPITEFULLY PLACED MY KEYS OUT IN THE OPEN RISKING THE SECURITY OF MY HOME and ASSET. I didn't find out that he did not complete the work-order until I called AHS to report the actions of this RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL DEVILISH IDIOT. After searching his company online and seeing other views on him and his bottom of the barrel subpar company, I can vouch that one star is too much for the messy business that they're running. My home is under contract. This work needs to be done within a certain number of days and this creature has jeopardized my business sale. AHS NEEDS TO DO BETTER AS THIS CONTRACTOR IS STRAIGHT GARBAGE!.
