Today I visited Johnstone on a recommendation from a business associate. I had the displeasure of being waited on by “Joe”. He was rude, condescending, and a thief. I was told to expect to pay about double 30.00 because I was not a contractor. Joe quoted 60.00. When I questioned the price he came up with lame excuses and his rudeness increased, he added he said had no time for me. I have never been treated with such disrespect. I hope his conduct is not a representation of the company. I visited a shop nearby and received the part for 16.00. Happy I walked out.
Just left Johnstone Supply in Syracuse NY after the guy at the counter treated me disrespectfully. I attempted to return a $25 item with a receipt. He insisted that it had been installed and that because I or my HVAC guy did not have an account there that there was nothing he could do. If I or any of my neighbors need any HVAC parts for our homes in the future we will not be going there.
if i could leave 0 stars i would. i was forced to spend almost $6000 in this place because my hvac installer uses them as a supplier. the salesperson "joe" is a rude , disgusting , condescending little punk. i was discussing with my installer about an ac unit i purchased on the internet and "joe" started in with his insults. he insulted me on on 3 different occasions , to the point where my hvac installer apologized for bringing me there. "joe" also lied to my installer telling him that he couldnt sell us a propane conversion kit for my furnace because i had purchased it on the internet. i had to order the same conversion kit that they sell and it held up work on my house for a week. i had some unused materials left and i called to see if i could exchange for something i needed and he told me to come in. as soon as i walked in the door, after i drove 45 minutes to go there, he insulted me and told me he couldnt take anything back. even though the stuff was brand new and i was only asking for store credit and i had the receipt with me. all this after i literally handed these people $6000 of my hard earned cash. its literally like a $200 bucks worth of stuff. places like this are the exact reason why people buy stuff on the internet. if you are using an installer to do work for you, do not let them go here. i have owned 2 businesses in my life, if i ever heard an employee talk to a customer like the way he did to me, i wouldve fired him on the spot. you cant treat people like this and from the other recent google review, it looks like this is commonplace for this company
