Dalton Heating and Cooling

Used for regular service and urgent repair. Communication was great on both ends as well as a fair price. Would recommend to anyone.

Woke up to a 51° house (in Victor) on a Sunday morning when it was 20° out. Called 3 different places looking for an emergency after hours service call, and Dalton is the only one that said "I can come right now." A bright young guy named Mike from Dalton showed up about 20 minutes later and had me up and running in about an hour for less than it would have cost for the others just to show up. I'll use them from now on for any emergency calls, and maintenance for my furnace, and will probably call them first if I have AC issues.

Really awesome. So personable. Honest and up front about all options. No pressure, no lying. Repairs on an ancient furnace seemed silly, but they didn't lean on us to replace it and gave us pricing for all options. We went with a new furnace. Install was smooth and professional. Done in about 6 hours removal of old and install of new. Clean work. Darren, the owner was the one who came during our emergency Sunday and he waived that call for us. They sent us a handwritten thank you card with our warranty info after our payment cleared. You won't get that with the big red I in Rochester - you know the company i mean! Dalton didn't try to scam me. Great experience. Call them before you call the big companies.

I’m a retail store owner. Our AC was not working on both of our RTU’s - our other provider was struggling to give attention to us for a 2 week period - which is unacceptable being a 7 day a week retail store and providing a premier shopping experience to our clients. Also no one could source the part without waiting at least a week for install.

Within 24 hours of me emailing Dalton - they came out, sourced a part and came back for a 2nd trip at the end of the same day to make sure we had AC for our weekend.

They really were extremely professional and customer service oriented.

The admin team was fabulous and the tech Steve was very caring, polite and did a great job installing our new condenser motor.

Tech was able to come out much faster than anyone else during a hot spell. He was here less than an hour and was able to fix air conditioning. He explained the problem and was very knowledgeable. They were very reasonable compared to the last company I had used. Highly recommend this company and I will be using them regularly for service. I never write reviews but this company was fantastic from start to finish!!

I just had a new furnace, AC, and heat pump installed. From beginning to end, the service team at Dalton has exceeded all expectations. They are professional, courteous, and responsive to all requests. They are extremely knowledgeable and work with the customer to come up with the best possible solutions. I work for a local architecture firm that also provides construction management services. In 2018, we were presented with a challenge supplying forced air to a new addition off the back of a 1920s colonial. We initially asked for quotes from a very large contractor in Rochester with those famous red trucks, and a very reputable contractor based out of East Rochester. Both "salesmen" insisted that the furnace (older, but nowhere near its life expectancy) needed to be upgraded off the bat, and that our desired ductwork layout was unattainable due to the foundation and a very shallow crawlspace. They both proposed adding a mini split system (the future of HVAC and they are very nice, but $$$$$$)... Then I called Dalton. Darren (the owner) showed up a day after first contact and personally quoted the job. He seemed genuinely interested in coming up with a solution that used the existing furnace and satisfied the client's goals. I was impressed with his problem-solving abilities. We hired Dalton, their crew showed up on time and were everything you would want from workers in your home, and the price was right. Two years later the system is still running strong. I highly recommend Dalton Heating & Cooling and plan to use them again when the project location and scope of work are right.

They have cleaned and worked on my furnace at different times to keep it up and running. Their staff have been honest, fair, professional and super nice. Even Lynne, who schedules the appts is great.

Dalton recently installed central air in my home and they were simple and easy to work with the entire time. I received a response to my initial inquiry within 24 hours and they provided a general quote quickly over email, so I did not waste anyone’s time having them come over if it was something I definitely was not interested in. We arranged a time for the owner to come over and validate the quote, and it was almost identical. The owner explained everything in depth and clearly so I could make an educated decision. The installers came when it was convenient for me, and showed up on time. They moved things out of the way when they needed to gain more work space, put everything back, did not make a mess, respected and visited my dogs who just wanted to say Hi, and did a beautiful job installing the AC. My home is newly built and a mess after construction and they were very understanding and respectful, walking in the mud instead of on my freshly planted grass even though it was a longer trek around the house. The installers finished up and explained everything they did, how it worked and pointed out different things about my entire heating and cooling system in a polite, informative, helpful manner.

I highly recommend Dalton Heating and Air and will definitely use them in the future.

I just had Dalton come to my home due to a room that was colder/hotter than the rest. They were able to identify the problem and fix it through a creative approach that didn't involve cutting a hole in ceiling. The gentlemen who came to the house were friendly and professional. I'm so grateful they found a solution! The pricing was also very reasonable!
