I am not one to write reviews, but I wanted to be sure to share my experience with Plitnick Plumbing & Heating. For the last 2 years our second floor heat has not been working properly and has been getting worse. We have brought in other services who have charged us $800-$900 for 'repairs' that never worked. Others have been telling us we need a new boiler etc and none of it made sense. Within minutes of walking into my home, he knew exactly what the issue was. Fixed the issue literally in minutes. Heating has been working great since and I know I have found my go-to plumber and HVAC company. In a nutshell...professional, honest, efficient, cordial. I will recommend them to anyone.
Exceptional response time during period of peak demand on weekend after winter storm. Response within 40 min of emergency call out. Plumber worked straight through over 4 hours until job completed. Company called out second technical specialist to review work.
The professionals at Plitnick did an amazing job and the price was more than competitive. Mr. Plitnick explained my options and my situation in detail and was a pleasure to deal with. This is a family owned business that does great work at a fair price. Highly recommended!
Eddie and his team were incredibly responsive with diagnosing and replacing our furnace that blew out right before Thanksgiving! Highly recommend for all your plumbing and heating needs.
Working with Plitnick was a pleasure. The entire experience from appointment setup to installation was quick and easy. I highly recommend this company for all your HVAC and plumbing needs.
Plitnick is fantastic. They are super professional and responsive. We’re using them for our oil and heating and cooling maintenance. We’ve never had a house with an oil tank and I though the guy left before actually filling it up. Turned out that they just did it so quickly and without me noticing! Great service and I would highly recommend them.
Very bad experience. They came recommended and I had a fine experience with the first few techs that came out to our house. They were all friendly and seemed knowledgable. We moved into a new house and we wanted to make sure our boiler was in good shape before the winter so they came out to run a combustion test and left the house telling me everything was in great shape and my boiler was running efficiently. They left behind a printout of their readings for our record.
Our gas usage and bills were extremely high all season so we had an energy audit completed by a different company. They took one look at the combustion test printout that Plitnick left behind and immediately knew something wasn't right. Plitnick did not notice the CO reading was not measured and the efficiency percentage did not make sense for the boiler I had. Ultimately I discovered that my boiler had been running horribly efficient all season long and their error cost me hundreds of dollars in inflated gas bills every month.
I called Plitnick to ask them about the combustion test and why they didn't flag the concerns from their readings and they got extremely defensive, texted me a bunch of weird articles/links about some unrelated federal regulations, info from the Testo website (the devices they use for the combustion test), and information about home inspections (not relevant). None of this addressed my very simple question as to why they did not notice the CO reading was not measured. They literally left the evidence showing there were issues with my boiler this entire time, but they did not notice. They told me the owner of the company would call me to discuss but I never heard back despite my polite follow-ups asking for some clarification. They also never gave me the results from a water test we asked them to do a few weeks prior. They just stopped responding entirely. Clearly they know they screwed up.
Extremely disappointing that they would not take any responsibility for their mistake and make even the slightest effort to keep me as a customer.
Used Plitnick for boiler replacement and am very happy with their service and knowledge when it came to updating our complicated heating system. They took the time afterwards to explain the system setup and operation which I really appreciated.
Plitnick is amazing! We've used them to replace a water heater, as well as a leaky pipe under the kitchen sink. Both times, we had same day service and the work was done really well. I highly recommend them - especially Sal who just recently fixed our kitchen sink pipe!
I used Plitnick once and I was satisfied with their work. The problem started when I tried to use them again. After speaking with someone on the phone they were supposed to get back to me with an appointment time. When I called about the appointment the person I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about. So I went through it with them. I sent them an email with information requested by the management company. They also did not call me back. I called again with the same result. After five phone calls and being disconnected several times I finally gave up. If you are lucky enough to actually get them on premises you could get good service. The problem is scheduling an appointment and dealing with the staff handling service calls.
