Update: Joe replaced the water heater but neglected to tell me that the pipes had leaks. I continued to get headaches and nausea from carbon monoxide leaks until I called Capitol plumbing and had to have am emergency replacement of the boiler.

Joe did an excellent and thorough job. Plus he’s so affable! He easily and quickly fixed the shower head in the bathroom when a previous plumber had told us that we would have to tear down the wall! So we didn’t use the shower for 2 years!

Also, since another bathroom faucet was leaking and wouldn’t stop after replacing the washers, he suggested that I buy a new one on my own at Home Depot, so I could get exactly the style I wanted. I did and he did a great job again, installing it!

Over the past four years, I have had three local plumbing companies attempt to fix the issue of getting hot water too slowly to my bathroom.I’ve been told my house is large and hot water can’t get quickly from the water heater to the furthest bathroom. House is 1600 sq ft, hardly a large house. Someone suggested I try Joe Montoya—I called him two days ago, he responded quickly, fixed the problem in less than an hour. I highly recommend Joe’s Plumbing—he’s knowledgeable, professional, fast and his charges are not outrageous!

We had a horrible, confusing plumbing issue outside our master bathroom that included a grinding station, broken pipe, raw sewage, etc - so bad that a well-known local plumbing service basically walked away from it without even trying to figure it out. We called Joe and he came out within 48 hours, looked at the problem, started digging, figured out what was wrong, and came back the next day and FIXED IT! We hadn’t used our toilet in a year, but when we finally got someone who would actually try to figure it out - Joe - it took him 2 days. Just amazing. He was professional, honest, and very reasonably priced. We could have wound up with some who gouged us, but Joe was honest, did what he said he’d do, when he said he’d do it. Best service we’ve had for ANY type of help we’ve needed in Santa Fe. We even hired him again to remove an old furnace and he did that quickly within 48 hours of calling him. He’s awesome, and will do great work for you! Call him!

My husband and I are VERY happy with Joe’s Plumbing. I left a message about a possible problem with our hot water heater. He called on his way home, after what was already a long day, and volunteered to stop by and take a look even though it was already after 6! Sure enough we needed a replacement and he gave us a very good price and worked us in to his schedule almost immediately. The work was well done and Joe himself was very nice and very professional. We have found our new plumber and highly recommend that you call him if you need one as well!

Joe came to my house and took a look at the job which was replacing 2 stop valves for my back bathroom sink. He could not do the job because of prior appointments. He came by the next day, replaced the valves and for a lower price than he had quoted. Definitely recommend. He showed when he said he would and didn't charge ridiculous fees.

Jo is so friendly! BEST PRICES IN Santa Fe! I called with no heat on a cold Saturday morning. He was already on call and busy that day but did everything he could to troubleshoot over the phone and he fixed it with me over the phone for FREE! It was an easy fix but Jo knew exactly what to do without ever seeing the boiler. He even called a few hours later to make sure the heat is working. His prices if he would have to come out are the best in Santa Fe! I almost couldn't believe it. I spoke to 4 other plumbers and had 2 out before who did not do good work and charged fees that are outrageous! Not Jo! He is my plumber now for EVERYTHING!

Joe has come by a few times to work on our various and sometimes self-caused plumbing issues. Every time he has been professional, curteous and efficient. During one of my boneheaded diy homeowner plumbing attempts, Joe bailed me out the same night when other companies came by, charged me $80, quoted me $2k and several days of work, and then left. Joe came by and fixed the problem in a couple of hours. He's willing to work with you.

Joe was GREAT!!! Diagnosed complicated problem quickly and fixed... simplifying for me what happened and what he did to solve it. So nice and honest. Will be my forever plumber. $so reasonable!

I called with a broken water heater on a Friday afternoon and Joe made a special trip for me on Saturday. His work was top notch and the price was the most reasonable in town. Will totally call him again. ---Jane Smith
