Just had Alex over to fix a leaking pipe and clogged drain and he was fantastic. He explained everything first and gave a quote. His price was very reasonable. He got the job done fast and right. And he was such a nice and friendly guy, he was so nice to my kids. I will absolutely use Alex again in the future. Thanks so much!

After another plumber gave me an estimate upwards of $1200 for a fix to a tiny leak from a toilet, and was bullying to boot, I called NJ Affordable based on a town message board recommendation for a second estimate. I'm so glad I did. Alex came on very short notice, advised the leak was not the result of a broken pipe requiring a costly repair (as the first plumber had advised) but merely an old feeder hose to the toilet tank that was leaking. Total cost to fix, including parts and labor: less than a third of the first estimate. Alex is honest, knowledgeable, and courteous, a complete pleasure to work with. He was even sweet to the family cat. Highly recommend.

I called Alex because of an issue with my home's old house trap. He was able to schedule the appointment for the following day first thing in the morning. He immediately diagnosed the issue and explained the solution. The price was more than reasonable for the task at hand and he began the work the following day. We replaced our old central air conditioning system approximately 12-1/2 years ago with a new Bryant Puron, and was maintained by the Bloomfield company that installed it. We are generally satisfy with their technicians' works and services, but the one that came last Spring did a quick inspection and told me that the coils leaked and the drain tray cracked. In fact, the cost was so high that he suggested we replace the entire system, which cost a lot more than I was prepare to. As much as I trust the company that installed it, I no longer trust their technicians, hence, I called for a second opinion, and Alex at NJ Affordable HVAC Plumbing came on the same day. Alex thoroughly checked the system and told me that the system was fine, no evidence of leaks in the coils and the drain tray not cracked. He also didn't charge us for the visit. In his words, "I didn't do anything so no charge".

This past year, Alex and I developed an "email" relationship since I'm hearing impaired and written communication seem to work best for me. Through our email exchanges, he recommended an excellent contractor who had done some works for us few weeks ago at a reasonable price. This morning, Alex came because we have been experiencing pressure with our kitchen faucet. It sputters when lift to turn on and then water spilled over the connector and all over the counter. Alex looked around and find the connecting part has a part that was clotted. Once it was removed, no more sputter and no more spill. Alex also recommended a connector for the faucet to save water. He told us to go to Home Depot to buy one to easily install it ourselves because if he install it, it would cost us a lot more. Now, how honest can one gets!!! On top of honest, Alex is knowledgeable, skillful, thoughtful and a terrific person.

Alex came to my home to check out a problem I was having with my tenants HVAC unit. He informed me that it was an easy fix and only charged me for the visit. He came an hour after I called. He was fair and honest. I will absolutely continue to hire Alex for future jobs.

Had a leaking pipe on a Friday night. Alex first addressed the situation over the phone to mitigate the damages and showed up in less than 20 minutes. Walked me through diagnosing the problem and providing a solution. Showed up early the next morning, on time, and ready to tackle the job. Explained each step of the process and resolved the issue. Professional, efficient and reasonably priced. Alex installed a new furnace when we converted from oil to gas. He did a great job. Alex also came quickly during a heat wave to repair the condenser for our air conditioner.
