I found Grab Air when doing a search for a honest HVAC repair company on my town’s Facebook page. I was looking for a smaller, family owned business - and I am so thankful I found them! In the previous two years, I’ve had issues with my central air unit not being cold enough. I had other reputable HVAC companies come out - and they said I needed Freon. They filled up the Freon, charged me hundreds of dollars and left. But Grabair repairman Mike came in and immediately let me know that I probably had a leak in the system, and that his goal was to first locate and correct the leak, and then we would discuss other options if he was unable able to fix it. He spent at least a hour searching the outside and indoor units - discovered the leak, and fixed it!!! He came back the next day to add Freon. The bill was lower than any other bill I received previously - and my issue was actually fixed this time. Mike was kind and explained every step he was taking and I trusted him fully. I can’t recommend this company enough!

Awesome experience with Grab! We had the pleasure of working with Mike , Mark and Ziggy on a full install of central heat and ac on our old old house. They were not only the most reasonable quote, but also super easy to work with and took the time to understand the unique needs of our house before diving into the project. Everything was done quickly and professionally. Communication was great. Really flexible and accommodating. We have absolutely zero complaints about the project from start to finish and I would highly recommend their services.

We would highly recommended Grab Air for a new residential HVAC system. Ziggy, Mike, and Mark were all great to work with. Being new homeowners to a home that did not have any working heat and window units for air conditioning, we knew next to nothing about HVAC systems. Mike was very helpful in explaining everything when he came to give us an estimate. He worked with us to get the best system with a quick installation date. Mark, Mike and the whole team were very responsive, professionalism and very clean with the installation. The entire installation was flawless, and we are super happy with how our units are working. I would highly recommended Grab Air to anyone in need of a new residential HVAC system. The cost of the installation was very fair in comparison to other estimates I had received. The entire installation was completed in one day. The Grab Air installer were super friendly, answered all my question and made sure to leave no mess.

We had Grab air install AC in our old house and had a great experience. Central air went on the first floor and 4 ductless mini split units went in our 2nd floor bedroom and office. 3 months later and I can confidently say that the whole system works great.

They really went the extra mile to 'hide' the various components of the system. For example - they were able to get the large air return vent to be in the wall at floor level instead of being in the floor. I didn't ask them to do that, and the latter would have been much easier for them, but they knew it would be nicer for us since we have a baby crawling around who would be interested in throwing things down a large floor vent. When you walk into our basement it's actually hard to tell that they have run new ductwork to 6 vents spread across our whole house. They tucked them behind steam pipes, through closets and above doorways. Again, it would have been much easier for them to sacrifice headroom and run ducts on the path of least resistance, and I would have accepted that as the cost of getting central air in an old house, so I am thrilled that I didn't lose any usable space/headroom in my basement.

Lastly, they were a great value relative to the big heating and cooling companies. We'd probably still have window units if the companies that 'everyone recommends' were our only options. It's a family operation so the job took a bit longer than it would with a company that can show up with a 6 trucks and a dozen people but I actually appreciated that.

I did quite a bit of due diligence on them before undertaking this large project and I could only find people who say positive things about their work, so although there are only a few reviews here they have many happy customers in the area.

Good people, quality work, fair price.

Yesterday morning, we woke up to discover our central air unit had stopped working. A bit later that same morning we also discovered that our water heater broke (but that’s another story, and I mention that only to show how stressful the start of our day was).
I researched some recommendations and we called Grab Air. I spoke with Ziggy who sent his son (I’m sorry to admit I can’t remember his name at this moment, but he was a very nice young man, super professional, and informative) to check on our AC unit. Given all that I’ve heard from neighbors about past problems that they’ve experienced with their central air units and how pricey they were to fix (they used other service providers), I was really worried about how much it was all going to cost. He took his time carefully examining the outdoor unit, the parts in the attic, the filter area, and the vents. He then diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and even cleaned the outdoor unit. And the price was very reasonable. I wholeheartedly recommend Grab Air. They were amazing.
