Over the years we used this business for our plumbing and heating needs, but over the last few years the quality was poor. They serviced my furnace, but never reconnected the water condensation line so my basement floor had water all over. They installed a dishwasher and now my pipe under the faucet leaks. I tried to give them the benefit of doubt. Finally decided to switch when technician would not come down my driveway because there was a patch of ice. He was in a 4x4 truck. My Mother in Law(77) visited the day before and had no problems with the driveway, nor have we. Amazon deliveries no issue either. I think this was a sign to change P&H companies.

On Friday September I called Lachance Plumbing to come to a rental unit I own for a problem with the gas water heater. They were the company that had installed them for me originally. The technician said the control was not working correctly which caused my tenant to either run out of hot water or for it to be scalding hot. The technician said I should replace it because it was nine years old already. He said it would be $2,000.00. I asked if he could do any better, he called his boss and told me that his boss had made an error when he quoted me the price because he was looking at an old price but he would honor the original quote of $2,000.00 & he would be able to install it on Tuesday because it was Labor Day weekend. On Tuesday morning before 7:30 am I called to tell Lachance that I wanted to check with another company to check to see if I was doing the right thing and I would call him back shortly, which I did. I called him back before 9:30 am to have him do the work. The receptionist said she would check & call me right back. I waited one and a half hours and I called back and spoke with a different receptionist who then informed me that they would not be able to do it until later in the week. She said they had two other heaters to install. I explained that I was supposed to be on the schedule for today & that I told the owner I would call him back shortly & I did. I said you mean he just doesn't want to do it. She said no he'll do it but not until later in the week, keep in mind my tenants have been without hot water since Friday & it is now Tuesday. I said I was only trying to make sure I was doing the right thing. So I had no choice to call another plumber & they came within 2 hours to install it and charged me less than $1800.00. He had said it should have been $2300.00. So the moral of this story is Mr Lachance was not being honest or responsible in the way he treated me. Be sure you check everything before you do business with Lachance Plumbing.

Dan the plumber was fair and honest and worked quickly to resolve the problem and he also brought the right parts. His experience really counted during a heatwave to fix my air conditioner

The receptionist/dispatcher is an extremely rude and unprofessional woman. The technicians are hard working and pleasant but this woman has the worst attitude and really sucks at her job. I have been a very loyal customer for many years and the one time I have a billing issue she speaks to me like I'm a child and then hangs up on me. I was very polite when I called and my issues were genuine and to be spoken to like that is unacceptable. I will never recommend or do business with this company again.

We scheduled an appointment to get our boiler serviced 2-weeks out. The morning of the appointment, we received a cancellation call. We re-scheduled, making clear that this is a 'no-heat' situation. We were cancelled on again, a half-hour before the appointment was to take place. We were understandably frustrated at this point, and were stern, but not rude, when trying to figure out how to get someone here. The customer service representative on the phone actually mocked and laughed at us, told us to "call around," and hung up on us. She doesn't want our business, and now won't be getting it for the 30+ years we plan to own our home.
We can't speak for the actual services/work their employees provide and this is not a review based on that.

Every time that I deal with LaChance I lose confidence in them. I like the techs that I've met, but the office is less than ideal. If you have a question when you call in, they have nobody to hear what the issue is to help them understand what the problem is. They won't put you in contact with a tech unless you book an appointment and pay $130 for them to stop over even if they do not have any idea of what the issue is. They will not call you back to discuss the issues if you leave a message. I had a water heater that went out and told them that my tenant is without hot water. They never got back to me to setup an appointment or to discuss. They also told me that relighting the pilot on any gas appliance must be done by a licensed pipe fitter even though every user manual gives the end user the instructions on how to do it.
Previously they came out to another apartment of mine and they charge me $130 twice to not resolve the sMe issue.
I have 30 rental units and would love to have a dependable plumber to work with for all of them, but I need a partner to work with. LaChance is not that company.

Exceptional customer service and hard working knowledgeable service techs. Many many thanks:)Just wanted to add we required their service for another situation today so second service call within 2 weeks and they came within 10 min of my call. Again exceptional service fixed the issue I cannot thank them enough. Lachance has been the best plumbing and heating company we have ever used over the 18 years we have owned our home so grateful we called them.

This company is amazing! They installed a beautiful new furnace for Grammy and caught a major issue with the chimney before it became a danger to her. They were so professional! They took the old furnace away and made sure everything was perfect! I highly recommend them!

I had problems with my water heater, they serviced it charging me $900. The heater worked for only worked for 2 months. I called them again, and spoke to a girl named Teresa, who was super rude! she was like "Well, it did work for 2 months so we did our service correctly" um.. no am I supposed to service my water heater every two months and pay $900 for it?!? If you are going to fix it fix it right! On top of that, Teresa said in a very rude manner that we had to wait two weeks for a repair man and that if we want it done sooner just go to another company before HANGING UP on us.
