My husband called last week to have our central air serviced. We received an appt between 10 - 12 today. We arranged our schedule to make sure to be home for when the technician may arrive. 10 - 12 came and went. My husband called and was told the technician had an emergency and was running "a little behind." After 1PM I called to get an estimate of when somebody would arrive, was placed on hold for awhile, and was finally told "yeah I don't think it's gonna happen today. Our guy is caught up with an AC unit and is in a pickle." Now I completely understand that emergencies happen. Totally understandable. What I don't understand is why the first phone call made when this emergency came up wasn't to the existing clients on their schedule. Simple: "Hi, this is So-and-so from LaChance Plumbing and Heating. We've had an emergency and may not be able to make it to your house today. I'm so sorry about that, but would you like to reschedule?" Good customer service is so easy. This woman on the phone wasn't even apologetic. So while as I recall, the technicians we've used from LaChance for years have always been wonderful, we will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. Too bad as we were in to market to replace our entire unit next fall. I'm sure nobody there cares about losing the business of one customer, but it matters to us, so one star, unfortunately.

Be aware of a hidden charge!

I was charged for two service calls @ $100.00 each.

The problem was diagnosed in less than 15 minutes. The service man stated he'll be right back, he couldn't find the part in his truck and had to go to the office and get one.

About an hour later I receved a call from Lachance, she apologized and stated that didn’t have the part, but they would have it in the morning.
The next day the service man came and screwed in the sensor (It didn't and take even 10 min).

I was charge for 2 service calls @ $100.00 each. When I called the office and explained the situation, I was told He was there yesterday and today that’s two service calls. I stated that’s not right and I refused to pay for both service calls.

Nut shell she gave me $50.00 off and then she stated that I can no longer use there service!

Oh less than 2 years ago Lachance installed my heating system.

Anyone that knows me will tell you, If I'm complaining something is wrong!

I called Lachance Plumbing & Heating for an central air conditioning repair. They were easy to deal with on the phone, and happily accommodated my scheduling needs, in spite of our being in a heat wave. The service man who came was prompt, knowledgable, and efficient. He solved my immediate problem, and discussed frankly the age of my system (both in years and current function) and the probable list of options to deal with this in the future. I am 110% satisfied with the service and would happily call Lachance again for future needs.

As others have said...the woman answering the phones has such a negative attitude that you want to avoid any interaction, but when you add in the fact that she is simply unable to do her job (has to be related to someone there) and the rudeness, it is a pass. The service people are generally so-so, I have in the past had great people and then the next guy is swearing up a storm because the work was going to be hard.

I called another place, guy came over was polite quick and way way cheaper. Lachance charges you a minimum of $100 to go to your house before anything is even done. This guy did the work and replaced a part all for $114, no way would I get this from these guys. Again avoid, if just so you don't have to talk to angry woman on the phone there.

Lachance has been taking care of my gas furnace and steam heating, and they have been fantastic. They also changed my hot water tank recently flawlessly. Highly recommended!

Recently had a new boiler installed at home. Bill and Dave made sure that project went smoothly and the installers were great. Everyone cleaned up after working and provided me with up-to-date information about when the system would be complete.

I would certainly recommend LaChance to anyone looking for installation, service or any other plumbing projects.

WOW the most unprofessional "lack" of customer service I have ever experienced with a company. The woman that answered the phone was beyond rude. When I tried to confirm my appointment for today she told me it wasn't until next week. I knew I booked it for today as I closed my business to be home. She then proceeded to tell me how wrong I was and it was for next week, take it or leave it. She then complained that she had 4 other calls on hold and it wasn't her problem

Incredible work. I had them convert my house to gas from oil and install a couple of nest thermostats. La Chance has a friendly, professional, and hard working team. I would recommend them to anyone in need of any size job.

I'm a contractor and a home owner and i called for an estimate on some work in my home and it's been nearly a week without a call back. If they are busy, say so and I'll call someone else .

This is a response to the woman that is accusing us of stealing medication, we have never ever had any issues with my technicians being a accused of such a thing and we were not the only ones in this women's apartment, there were 2 other guys doing work there. This is an disturbing accusation and she did not even bring this concern to our attention, instead she decided to post on the internet. We will be seeking legal action regarding this matter. This is not something you accuse people of with no proof!!!
