Better Air Inc installed new HVAC equipment and duct-work for a renovation. Tom Wright was very thorough in designing the alterations to function within the confines of an old house remodel. Their technicians were great guys, and the installation was completed in a workman like manner. I'd highly recommend.
Service was prompt and courteous. Oscar communicated the problem and his suggested solution clearly. I took his advice on an ecomonical solution, and it has worked. The problem is solved. I could not be happier with the service and Oscar's great remedy to what could have been an expensive repair.
the technicians are knowledgeable but customer service is pretty bad. the last time i called to get a quote on a furnace replacement, i was told to find someone else. after using them for years out of convenience, i decided it's time to move on.
I was referred to this company as I had a Viessmann boiler on the fritz and couldn't find anyone in the area to service it. On Thursday (the week of Christmas) I called Better Air and set up an appointment for a service call the next day. The next day the technician called around noon and inquired about the system details and had me send some photos of the radiant plumbing, explaining that they didn't want to arrive without the proper parts. Then he texted me that the boiler problem might be related to the radiant piping (that I had installed) instead of a problem with the boiler. I tried to call the tech back, but from that point on he only responded to text messages. Meanwhile during the day my boiler worked intermittently up to an hour at a time, which along with the fact that the boiler had been in operation for 5 years prior would indicate that the radiant piping wasn't the problem. I advised the tech of that via text as well. Late in the afternoon after texting him inquiring what was going on I got a reply saying that he was waiting to hear back from their "rep" which I assumed meant he was getting help investigating the problem with my boiler. But at 7:30PM the tech texted me that their rep told them to refer me to someone else. So unbeknownst to me what I spent the day waiting for wasn't a fix for my boiler at all, but rather a much delayed reneging on the service call. When I asked I was told that the reason they wouldn't service my boiler is because it was a "homeowner install" (I plumbed the radiant piping but the boiler was professionally installed and I had told them that). I waited almost TWO DAYS in the middle of winter expecting this company to service my boiler - one day waiting until the appointment day, then the entire day of the appointment waiting for a service visit that never came. Instead of being honest and upfront with me they just wasted my time and left me in the lurch. If the tech had told me right away on Friday they wouldn't service my boiler because they considered it a "homeowner install" I would have had half a day to try to make arrangements elsewhere (and would only have wasted a day waiting on them). But by the time they told me they wouldn't service my boiler it was Friday night on Christmas weekend. Instead of a service visit and possible repair I got an additional guaranteed FIVE more days of downtime on my broken boiler. Discourteous and unprofessional. Merry Christmas to me from Better Air.
Better Air installed my furnace and air conditioner. They've also cleaned my vents and duct work twice. Their staff have also been courteous and professional.
What a joke had these guys fix a small problem with my boiler when the technician was here he told me another part was going bad and would eventually need to be replaced and it would be around $300 now 6 months later I call to have it replaced and they tell me $700. I was obviously not terribly excited when I heard this so I confronted them on the price difference and in doing so started an office war between the owner and technician because apparently the technicians aren't supposed to be giving out prices. The owner told me he would call me with a better price instead I got an early morning call from a pissed off technician asking why I would lie to his boss and try and start a fight between them????? Are you people serious???? Then I try to get a hold of the owner to straighten it out and have gotten nothing but the run around. This is literally the most unprofessional situation I've ever been involved in and I will NEVER call this company for service again!
Great service and very smart techs. Had to have emergency service and they came through. If you hav Lennox definitely call these people. Polite and good. Wish i could give them 10 stars.
