Our furnace and air conditioner in a house we just purchased were over 20 years old and we could not get parts anymore. I wanted to get efficiency and take advantage of Minnesota Powers Cold Climate Heat pump rebate, Comfort Systems furnace rebate and the Federal Tax Credit for the Heat Pump. Kevin came to our home and put together a system that met the requirements for these programs and took the time to explain how the equipment operated. He also suggested an additional return and vent to even out the temperatures in the basement. Design Heating did the entire installation. The system is very quiet. After installation, Kevin calculated the temperatures that the heat pump and furnace should operate at to get peak efficiency, saving me the most money. He filled out the paperwork for the furnace and cc heat pump rebates and sent the heat pump rebate directly to Minnesota Power to be processed.

Design Heating did a great job. After the rebates and tax credits, this energy efficient system cost less than the traditional furnace/air conditioner that we installed in our previous home a year ago. We had three estimates, but Design Heating was the only one that answered all my questions about the new technology.

I'd recommend Design Heating to anyone who is looking to get a more efficient heating and cooling system for their home.

We were out of state and my smart home app notified me that our house temp was in the 40s and the outside temp was around 10. Kevin was able to get in and get the furnace fixed so our pipes (and dog) didn’t freeze. I appreciated his clear communication about the issue and the options to get the heat going again.
