We were very happy with the job that Barry did for us. He did a job that nobody else would tackle but was up for the challenge being that our A/C is in our attic. Explained everything in detail of what should be done. He did a nice neat job and the system works better than the original. Very fair pricing. He's friendly and easy to talk to. He also replaced the furnace and A/C in our son's house as well. Would highly recommend!

It was such a pleasure doing business with Barry. He made time in his very busy schedule to check out my AC during a heat wave. He tried everything he could to fix it, but the device was past it. Since the furnace was also old, we decided to go with a combo and we’re glad we did. The price was less than expected for a crawl space sideways installation of very efficient components. We can easily recommend Barry’s without reservation.

Barry came to our house to look at our water boiler system and after some discussion, he came to same conclusion of what I mentioned over the phone before the appointment. He told me there are a few options we can do and explained them, then said he would get back to us shortly. There was a $125 consult charge he said he didn’t feel right charging us because the issue was what we already thought it had been, and he didn’t really do anything. We came to the agreement to pay the $125 as sort of a deposit that would count toward the cost of the actual work when he did it. It has been well over 3 weeks now and I haven’t gotten a response. I called and left voicemail but haven’t received any type of follow up from their side. It’s unfortunate that we paid the $125 for him to turn around and just “ghost” us. I just don’t understand what the disconnect is, he has so many other good reviews, that is why I decided to call him in the first place. It’s frustrating not to be able to get a response, and just feel like I lost $125.

The A/C went out at the food pantry that I run and it was 82 degrees and getting warmer. I had staff and volunteers who were sweating at 10 in the morning, and produce that needed to NOT go bad before we could get it out to the people who would be coming by for groceries. I called a couple places and got voicemails- but Barry's picked up right away and told me that they would do what they could to get someone out ASAP. And they did! I got a call back in 15 minutes telling me that they had a technician on the way in the hour.

And the service technician (Keith) was fantastic!! So professional, got right to work, and solved our problem quickly. He somehow managed to stay out of the way of our volunteers who were packing up food deliveries- which we did not expect him to do. We won't call anywhere else if we have trouble with our HVAC. And the office staff was so professional and helpful on the phone. We are a small, nonprofit and this could have been a really rough Monday for us. But Barry's HVAC made it so easy.

In June 2021 our air conditioning went out during one of the hottest weeks of the year. Barry's HVAC service was very quick to respond and had a tech out here the next day, which we greatly appreciated as a lot of other companies had long wait times. However, when the service tech came to our house the problem was unable to be fixed the day of, which is understandable a part needed to be ordered. However, that part was never needed as it was later diagnosed as a slow Freon leak that he could not find. We were told the fix would be to add Freon, and we went ahead with that repair. We were open to replacing the unit if that was the best option but the service tech said that this fix would last likely 3-5 years as our leak was "slow". However, two months later our air conditioning is not working again and we are going to replace the unit with another company. We paid approx. $700 for the repair so I am disappointed that the repair did not at least last us through the season. The service tech was very professional, but I wanted to share my experience for others as I was not satisfied with the repair.

Barry does a great job. I've called and Barry has taken the time to answer any questions I've had on my tankless hot water system. I also had him maintenance and repair our system and we was more than reasonable on the service and charge to get it running again. I will call him for any HVAC maintenance in the future. I highly recommend.

Barry was a tremendous help!! He gave me a lot of good advice and offers different, high quality solutions for different price points. Customer satisfaction really seems to be an emphasis for him. I highly recommend him for any job; big or small, scheduled service or unexpected event.

Detroit Made Me “Detroit Made Me”

First and foremost, Barry arrived on time as expected. Just by the way he presented himself . I felt comfortable enough to leave him in my home while I ran a quick errand. The other thing , I really loved , was his integrity. He saved me $225 off his initial quote. In this day and age, who does that?! As if that wasn’t enough, he troubleshooted a moisture issue in my basement. He most definitely earned my trust and future business. Thank you Barry #satisfied customer
