    This company was fantastic. Respectful and professional throughout. Quick response and Justin was very patient explaining everything to my elderly father throughout the repair. Justin was very honest and knowledgeable and did not try to sell any unnecessary repairs. Great communication throughout and reasonable pricing was a bonus. I will definitely recommend this company for anyone needing service and will use them for all future repairs.

    Lesson learned:

    HSA Home Warranty 🤬

    Detroit Heating and Cooling was actually the silver lining in this big grey cloud.

    My furnace stopped working 2.5 weeks ago and the temperature was starting to drop to below freezing at night. I called my home owners warranty company, HSA Home Warranty, and opened a claim. The first contractor assigned never responded, even after I called 2x and HSA called 1x. I had to call HSA 3 more times before they finally assigned it to another contractor, who said were too busy, then another who was apparently too expensive for HSA. I was about to lose my mind...it was 40° in my home.

    Finally, after 2 weeks, it was assigned to Detroit Heating and Cooling...within 15 minutes of it being assigned, Francis from Detroit Heating and Cooling called me to tell me Justin would be at my home in 30 minutes! (Francis was empathetic and professional). I thought this must be too good to be true, but Justin showed up on time and did a thorough analysis to determine what was wrong. He called it in to let them know, and within 30 minutes, Francis called to tell me he had obtained HSA's authorization, the part had been ordered, and that Justin would be back in 2 days to install the new part since it had to be ordered.

    Justin was very professional, kind, understanding, and honest. He informed me of my options for a preventative maintenance plan, but wasn't pushy at all. He also took the time to educate me on some key things, which makes me a smarter home owner. The temperature had gone up 4 degrees by the time he left.

    Compressor died on our AC unit. Company was able to quickly secure us a new unit. Installation went extremely well. Justin and Mike answered questions along the way and did an outstanding job cleaning up afterwards. I would recommend this company without hesitation.
