The man that just came to fix our AC was a gem! He fixed the unit very quickly after he arrived. We used our appliance program through Consumers when it went out a few days ago. I have been using All Phase Services for a little over 3 years. Every time I call, they send the same person over to my place who is now a good friend. They are honest and very forthright.
We were trying to sell our home this year and we wanted to update our thermostat with a Nest system. Our guy, Tobin, came over to look at the home and not only saved us money by not installing it but gave us a very simple; easy to use home thermostat that worked like a charm.
When we bought our new home, Tobin came back out and inspected our home and water heater and helped me save money by having the previous owner pay for new install. I would 100% recommend All Phase Services. They are a great local company and it's hard to find honest companies like this. JR

I've used All Phase for years in our old home, including an emergency call when our furnace blower died last winter. Paul and his crew at All Phase did a great job. We then bought a new home, and had to have our entire Heating and Cooling systems replaced. I am proof that All Phase Services provides efficient, quality service in a highly professional manner. I appreciate and applaud Paul, Carlos and Tobin for "in one day" replacing the furnace and water heater in my home. Special thanks also to the office staff (Leisa) who was extremely courteous and friendly. Plus, the price they charged for these services saved me hundreds of dollars compared to what other Grand Rapids area companies (who advertises on tv) providing heating and cooling services would have charged me. Today I became the biggest fan of All Phase Service. As a distant landlord, it can be challenging trying to find someone you can trust and rely on to take care of repairs. Not only did APS do a great job, they went above and beyond my expectations! Excellent service. Less than a week between quote and completion to get a new AC and furnace installed. Very impressed with their work. They took the time to answer ALL of our questions and followed up multiple times after completion to make sure we were satisfied with the work.

I've had All Phase service my furnace for years now, and almost always have been highly satisfied. Glad they kept a professional attitude along with warm customer service this time. I wasn't so warm because of miscommunications while I waited 3 days in the cold, (they were waiting for the part to come in) . I gave them a backup Ph# with specific instructions but those instructions must have slipped past them. I still think they are really a good business. Stuff happens.

Tobin is the BEST. Was 2nd opinion on a furnace issue my 91 year old mother was experiencing. First repair service recommended immediate new furnace for thousands of dollars. Tobin discovered simple common issue, fixed it and then went beyond call of duty to check mom's smoke and carbon dioxide sensors. If and when a new furnace is needed, they'll be our first call!

This company is inept and unwilling to stand behind their work. I had a problem with my hot water heater suddenly not putting out the same amount of hot water as would be expected. I researched on the internet and it was quite clear to me that the problem was the "dip tube"
The employee that came out simply tested less than 10 gallons of flow through my kitchen faucet and said that there was nothing wrong with my water heater. Never mind the fact that a water heater is designed to run 2/3 of its capacity without significant temperature drop, which would be over 30 gallons for my water heater. He did say that he needed to actually look at the water heater for his "paperwork" I continued to tell him that the first 5 minutes was not the problem. While he was looking at the water heater I ran another 5 gallons or so out of the tub sink in the same room. I asked him to test the temperature and it had dropped 15-20 degrees. He said this didn't matter and my water heater was just "old" and probably didn't work as well.
I then pointed out to him that the water heater had just started after 10 minutes and probably 1/3 of the tank being run out. This is a clear symptom of the dip tube being bad since the cold water is not reaching the bottom of the tank and tripping the thermostat to turn on the heater until a significant amount of water hot water had been used. He just told me that there was probably build-up on the bottom of my tank. Of course he didn't take the 5 minutes to open the valve and run a bit into a bucket to check this.
Knowing that the dip tube was the problem I ordered and replaced it myself. Sure enough the dip tube was cracked off just below the fitting and was causing all the problems.
When I called the company they refused to stand behind their work. The owner said that a dip tube is "one of those tricky things" and that "it doesn't make sense to open up the water heater to check it" he said he would have done exactly what the person that came out did and refused to stand behind their work in any way.
I am not sure if these people are completely inept at what they do, trying to collect the service call fee without actually doing anything, playing some game in hopes you will buy a new water heater from them, or some combination of all three.
Bottom line, never use this company!
