No-Frost A/C & Heating

I'd like to share my experience with you:

Beware of their HVAC technicians who want to sell you a new central heating and cooling systems. I fell victim to their unethical service. This happened in June 2023.

I was tempted by their service at a Home Depot in Ellicott City, MD, where they signed me up for a 'maintenance' service. The technician showed up and assessed the HVAC systems of my home. His assessment was that my systems need replacements ($15k each). He pushed hard for me to sign up for a sale. So, he passed my information on to a sales people. I received incessant calls to schedule with a salesperson, but I was not convinced of his assessment.

Shortly after his visit, my systems stopped working. I called a No-Frost HVAC company for service. Their technicians discovered that the systems were intentionally rendered inoperable. The electrical of the heat exchanger of one of the units was disconnected, and the other's coolant cap was left open so the coolant would just escape to a point where no cooling was possible.

For what I paid is worth finding out that some ARS technicians are engaging in unethical practices, they are staking out at Home Depot in Ellicott City, MD.

No Frost is the Best! I have been using them for over 20 years...I called them (Eileen the Owner)...on Friday to request my AC be fixed...they sent Eric M. on Monday...and he was Great and fixed my AC to blow cold again...he cleaned the filter and did some other maintenance things..Excellent AC Repair company! Thank you Eileen and Eric M.,...Appreciate it!!

I can't say enough good things about No Frost. They installed our heating and cooling system and have maintained it for over 20 years. They are very responsive to any concerns and the technicians are experienced, efficient, and pleasant. The office staff goes the extra mile to make sure a technician is available if there is an issue. They have my highest recommendation.

I found have found this company to be reliable, professional and honest. This past August during one of the hottest heat waves we have had this summer my air conditioner stopped working. I had used this company many years ago but have not recently needed service. When I phoned No Frost Eileen, the owner, assured me they would get a service technician here ASAP. A technician came that same day. Unfortunately, the air conditioner needed to be replaced as well as the gas fired furnace as it's an integrated system. After verifying the recommended replacement furnace and air conditioner were available, the installation was scheduled for the following Monday. The installers arrived on time, did a thorough job (including the installation of a new thermostat), reviewed the sytem with me and cleaned the area before leaving. No Frost filed all the warranty information. A few days later Eileen phoned to ensure that I was satisfed with the installation and that everything was left in good order. I would highly recommend this company.

These folks are fantastic-- reliable and punctual. We had a weekend issue with a 20+ year old heat pump. I left a message Sunday afternoon, and had a call back early Monday. A crew came out the same day and diagnosed the issues and presented us with clear explanations and options. Bingo! Tuesday morning they returned to install of a new unit. I cannot say enough about the polite initial contact over the phone and then the
follow-up scheduling and completion of the job so quickly. If they say they will arrive at 8:30-- they are there!! I am glad that we could support such a deserving local small business. We have another unit that will likely age out soon, and there is no question that when we need service, we will call No-Frost. Oh yes-- the best part- we got their name from friends in the county who have used them for years--Word of mouth recommendation. Thank you!!

This company deserves a 5 star for their expertise, customer service and installation. I have been a customer for many years and I would only use No Frost for any of my A/C and heating needs. I really can't say enough about this great company. They have always been professional, friendly, informative when explaining what needs to be done and they have always fixed problems quickly.

A few years back when I needed a new heat pump No Frost came and discussed the different possibilities with me. For my wants and needs a new mid-range energy-efficient unit was recommended. I have been amazed at how much money I have been saving by having my old unit replaced.

I highly recommend this company. They’ve been providing services for my HVAC system for 11 years. It’s very easy to contact the office quickly. Ms. Eileen is very kind and communicative. September 2021 my AC malfunctioned. Eric P. was the technician that provided services this time. He was prompt, professional, considerate, highly skilled, and thorough. I appreciated that he was able to explain the malfunction in a manner that I could understand. Also, before he started working, during our discussion he clearly explained my options based on my financial means. Before he left, he cleaned up and the workspace was cleaner than before he started which was much appreciated as there was water everywhere. I can’t say enough how highly I recommend this company, especially compared to my experiences with other companies providing similar services.

I’ve been a customer of No-Frost for close to 20 years. The office is friendly and professional. The service crew are just as exceptional. No-Frost is the only HVAC company that I would recommend.
