My wife and I contracted with A J. Michaels to install a new air conditioning unit (including air handler) and a new not water baseboard furnace (with major design upgrades, including pumps instead of TACO valves). The system was expensive, but we chose it because we believed it was worth it, if properly installed. We were not disappointed with the final product. The installation was truly exceptional. The wiring, plumbing and all related hardware was installed with great care and attention. The plumbing crew showed up promptly each morning and worked efficiently. They treated us with great courtesy and were open to any questions we might raise. I highly recommend A. J. Michaels for any heating or air conditioning work that needs to be done in residential property.

Our experience contracting AJ Michaels to replace our heating and air conditioning equipment was terrific. We are old fashioned in that we want excellent service and to be treated well at the same time. They delivered on both of these from start to finish. We have an excellent new HVAC system which was fairly priced (compared to competitors) and we were treated respectfully. Well done!

In our new to us house the previous owner had installed a sub par heating and cooling system that would never operate well. We contacted AJ Michaels to see what could be done. They came out and evaluated the situation. He quickly came up with a solution. It was not the cheapest up front but, It will save us a ton in the long run as it is way more efficient. The quality of materials and workmanship is top notch. These guys know what they are doing and they know the product they are selling. After going through a few seasons now we have a home that is so comfortable and costs less to heat and cool. Great company to deal with.

I could not be happier with the services provided by A.J. Michaels with an install of a dual zone HVAC system (Carrier) including insulation and sealant to make my home more energy efficient.

My energy bills are 53% lower than last winter and my smart system is cleaner and much quieter than before the install.

The crew who did the work respected my home as if it was their own. They prepped areas for work and cleaned up afterwards making the areas look as if they weren't even here.

I have don’t have many good things to say about this company. My first interaction with them went well enough. They installed a heating and air conditioning system in my house in 2017. At the time it was a pleasant experience. They did a good job – clean and professional and the price was Ok. So it was an obvious choice to call them for help when my gas furnace started blowing cold air 2 weeks ago. My contract with them also states "Includes a full 10 year parts and 10 year labor warranty".

The problem with my furnace was as follows: It was blowing cold air and flashing code 13 “LIMIT CIRCUIT LOCKOUT”. After turning off the power, waiting and then switching the power back it appears to work fine for a few hours or even a day, but goes into “lockout” again, restarting the problem. Going through this once I thought that it was just a fluke and canceled my first appointment with AJ Michaels just to find out that the furnace started blowing cold air an hour later. I called again and an AJ Michaels technician came the same day at noon. He spent about 20 min working on the furnace, said it is fixed and left. I paid 305$ for this visit. Later the same day the furnace starts blowing cold air again and flashing code 13 “LIMIT CIRCUIT LOCKOUT” like the day before.

I called AJ Michaels to find out what exactly was done for 305$, ask about warranty and schedule a follow-up appointment. The lady on the phone said:

1) The system was checked,

2) The tripped flame rollout switch was reset

3) The BLOWN control board FUSE WAS REPLACED

She also said someone was poking around and shortcut the system and the blown fuse is evidence of it, so WARRANTY VOID.
Logically I had a question "HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO RESTART A FURNACE WITH A BLOWN FUSE?"

All my attempts to get answers from the company by email or phone call had failed. After 3 day going back and forward with emails and calls I decided to cancel my upcoming appointment (I was put on a waiting list for a week) with them and seek the help of another contractor.

It would be fine by me if the warranty was voided because I didn’t have yearly maintenance with AJ Michaels. But fabrication the blown control board fuse was too much…

The issue was fixed by another contractor in 5 min for 60$. I was relieved and angry at the same time. It was combination of a clogged air filter and damper was at almost 70% closed which caused the furnace to overheat and shut down on a limit control.

I would not recommend AJ Michael for service or repairs.

Professional, competent and courteous. Hired AJ Michael’s to install a new replacement boiler for my homes one pipe steam radiator heating system. AJ Michael’s team installed and piped the replacement boiler in accordance with manufacturers specifications and corrected near piping and return errors made long ago by another installer. Home now heats fast with 12 hot radiators with no hissing or noise. Thank you Jack, Boddie, Paul and Ryan.

I use AJ Michaels for all my HVAC. I recently had a Mitsubishi combo heater/AC unit put on my three season porch to make it useable all year. The entire experience was exactly what I’ve come to know and expect from AJ Michaels - professional, prompt, done right, and done well. I have the maintenance plan for spring and fall on my main HVAC systems (both installed by AJ Michaels) and can’t say enough good things about it. I won’t use any other company - this is who I trust and who I’ll always go to.

I've used AJ Michaels twice, once for minor boiler update and most recently for ductless heatpump (mini spilt) installation. This was a fairly big job, 4 days, and the workers were very professional and thorough. Seems to me they did a top notch job. I'd definitely go to AJ Michaels again.

This is the second system AJ Michaels has installed in my home. The estimator was very knowledgeable and there was no hard sell approach. I was given 2 options and chose the best for my needs. The installation crew was very professional and courteous. Great company to work with.

The folks from AJ Michaels installed a new HVAC system for us and then came back to seal our vents/ducts. They were very professional and prompt. Also very friendly. I would use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC services.
